Fantastic flight crew! I have flown in and out of BOG dozens of times but only once to/from Santa Marta. Great memories. Greetings from the USA.

I'm from Colombia, but I live in Dallas. When I went to 🇨🇴 in June '94, one of my Uncles invited a bunch of family to his beach home in Santa Marta. I think 15 people said they wanted to go so he worked his magic & got a charter bus to take us there from Bogota. So was definitely a fun ride and I also enjoy being able to see other parts of Colombia!

Really interesting to see the difference in rotation on takeoff between this and the 737. You can be so much more aggressive on the sidestick, it’s almost like full back stick 😅

I'm curious if just for the video the communications with ATC was in English or is SOP for the Airline flying domestic? Normally I hear Communications in Spanish with domestic Colombians flights.
They started in Spanish, in Colombia you can communicate in both english and spanish

Who cares if they are LADIES. They are trained professionals doing their job. Why is it SO impressive to see women in the flight deck. Being inpressed is like saying that they have less capacitative competence to fly a plane in the first place.
You wouldn't say "WOW, A BLACK MAN IN THE COCKPIT" because you know that implies the same rhetoric and it sounds racist. So why wpuld you do it for women?
People are dumb honestly. The industry doesn't need more women, it needs competent, well-trained pilots - if they happen to be women or whatever race then it is what it is. Stop celebrating what doesnt need to be celebrated. It patronizes and undermines these pilots.

What you mean Captains only airport?????
SKSM (Santa Marta airport) is a only captains airport due to its short (only 5577 ft or 1700 m) and narrow runway. Here in Colombia it is consider a critical airport, therefore only captains, at least on this airline when they used to operate, were allowed to land and take off there.

all for the view, is to bad that being Colombian citizen speak all video in english...i know tje international language is english but, we want the comversation wit ATC and crew cockpit in spanish

More than 90% of our audience understands English, if we did this in Spanish many/most wouldn't understand. We did a video in Spanish with Iberia and it did not do well at all so we tried it.

The default language of international aviation worldwide is English.
@@justplanes yeah but i wanna see normal operation not what fit justplanes i wanna see air france pilot speak french with atc in CDG or aeromexico pilot speak spanish when they fly over Latin america, So that means in the incoming air transat video you forced them to speak english in Paris when they usually speak french?? you're one of the few window we have in international cockpit, so showing that once in a lifetime experience i don't get the real experience1 Keep that in mind for future reference given that u used to not force crew to switch languages for you( i remember your old program with air france or the mexican airlines)
