Unless you owned one of these back in the 70’s like I did. Don’t call Mopar’s of today junk. These were and are great cars. And I’d love to have my 70 Roadrunner, 70 Cuda, 69 Charger, and my 440 GTS Dart. But please don’t call the New Mopar’s junk because they are not. I have a 2015 challenger SRT 392 and it’s a modern version of the old 71 challenger. Remember, all of these old Mopar’s were modern in their day.
I know a 22 year old man who bought a 1970 Plymouth GTX in 1981. Used it as his family car because the other car he owned was a 1970 Dodge Challenger and it was too small to put a kid in the back with a car seat. He still has both cars. The Challenger was made into a Vanishing Point car. The GTX is being restored as I text this. I feel so glad I never sold either one despite going through a divorce and the different gas crisis. I had my cars longer than my two sons. Each will get a car when I am too old to drive.
This is my dream car. I really just like the front. It looks better then a 68, 69, or 71. It just is a work of art. My friend is into Muscle Itasha (anime wrapped cars) and has wrapped a few classics and they all turn out pretty well. It sounds dumb but I think older cars have more personality and customization.
Stunning. A 1970 Roadrunner is my dream car. In green or black, maybe orange. They're rare as all hell overe here (Sweden) and cost insane amounts whenever they do pop up on the market. There's a deep love for American muscle cars here, contrasting the otherwise small, compact euro sports cars that also are quite nice. Cheers for an amazing car!
That is very interesting to hear that about Sweden...a country I had always wanted to visit and stay awhile. Sadly , I'm not going to get there in this lifetime. Too old, falling apart, and Justine got all the money I worked very hard for. All the people look so incredibly attractive.... whenever there was a documentary shown in high school, etc. ! 👍 I owned a 1970 Roadrunner in my early 20s, and it was my favourite car ever. It held 6 of us comfortably going to Wasaga Beach or the CNE in Toronto. It was unbelievably fast with the stock 383 4bbl Magnum. I also owned a 71 454 Corvette at the same time, amazingly. "Those were the days my friend" , as the song goes ! All the very best from Canada! God Bless You ! John 3:16 "MEEP MEEP!!!" 👍🇨🇦😎
In 1968 my mom's family car was a 68 Roadrunner that my father bought her before he passed away in 71. Lot of good memories in that beautiful car into this day she's 89 years old and wished she had kept that car. She too like so many others even at 89 years old is still a Gearhead. In her mind if it doesn't have a V8 it's not a real car! LOL
The better everything looks the easier it is to pick out little flaws. The eyes just go straight to them. The overall look can be appreciated from a distance though. These look so much better without all the chrome in the back and around the wheel arches. I'm guessing it's worth around 70-80g's.
@@blah9664 looks almost like a powder blue that only came on another make and model specifically. I watched a video about it the other day,it was on a Oldsmobile but shouldn't have been. The story was the owner knew someone who had access to that specific paint and hooked up his buddy. Probably the same thing happened here.
@@richmtnrecon9120 I could of swore I've seen this color on a handful of 69 roadrunners and 69 chargers. I think chrysler may of have a frost color blue similar to this color of its not a factory color. Im familiar with b7,b5 and b3 blue. I believe its a b4 blue as well not 100 percent sure though.
@@blah9664 I remember they had a blue color but I'm not very familiar with it at all. My dad had a black 69 roadrunner with a 8 track growing up. We use to listen to George Thorogood's bad to the bone on it all the time and I felt like a total bad ass. Got a scar on my forehead from playing dukes of hazard in that car. Went to jump through the window (windows were crystal clear) and realized in mid air it was halfway rolled up. Went through the window and on my way the emergency room lol. Good times!
Iv had a 68 and a 69 Runner but the 70 was the best looking by far… I’m glade they didn’t put that stupid orange sticker that ran the whole length of the car…
Beautiful color, steel rims, missing the side dust trails, 440 six barrel, Coyote duster air grabber, sounds great. Couldn't see if it had tic toc tac. No dual sport mirrors. However bench seat and A COLUMN SHIFTER OMG NO.
whining?...nope! .. a disgrace I will say ..to purchase a muscle car with a "grocery getter interior" is disgrace also defeat the purpose of a sport car my GTX ( same thing) didn't have bench :)
The best muscle car of all time
the best CAR of all time 😌
Chrysler muscle cars are definitely something. Looks beyond incredible, especially compared to Ford and GM models from that age
22 years old and I would rather have this than any other piece of junk they make nowadays don’t matter what it is.
Christian then get one! Theyre out there in various conditions. But dont dream...make it happen
@@brianjoy3407 sadly where i live there is currently only 2 roadrunners for sale and both over 30,000$

It was a really nice car.
"coyote duster" lol, that has a whole new meaning years after this car was built
I replayed that key turn you did like 10 times over. It sounds SOO good. Most new cars don't even start that well.
Best muscle car sales video I've ever seen. No BS, just the car. Thank you!

All personal preference. Interestingly enough, the dust trail stripes were an option you could elect to add or not. Most people did, however.

Winchester grey?
It's not the factory color. It's a newer silver but I'm unsure which silver it is.
'70 Roadrunner AKA the car of cars
1970 was the final great year for B body Mopars unfortunately.
Sad when you hear and think it's sounds great, then you see it's an a-12 and realize you can't afford it...
A-12? What does that mean? Is it a special edition or something?
This one wasn't an A12, but we have had a few over the years.
