Even as a kid, when it was new I thought this car was way better looking than mustang and Camero. Now I know more about everything and Cuda is still my favorite all these years later
this is not a real AAR cuda. The AAR cuda and Challenger T/A had the exhaust pipes come out from the side not the tail end and had a 340 v8 with the 6 pack not a 440 six pack. The one in the video is still a badass ride though.
@@ericochoa4271 I certainly agree with you. My comment referred mainly to the general appearance with the black hood and the striping style with AAR decal or T/A lettering. The side pipes absolutely add to the coolness.
I’m literally from Europe and I’m in love with this car. Plymouth Barracuda... I really like Superbird too. It’s so bad that there’s literally NO Plymouth’s here
I take possession of a 1970 Hemi Orange, 440 Cuda in two weeks and really enjoyed seeing this video. As soon as I heard you say "car" figured you were out east 😁
They did. According to one of my Muscle Car books, it was just an aesthetic detail. But in fact, it didn't upgrade numbers, as the plumbing was more restrictive.
Its not really a 4bbl, it's a EFI throttle body with fuel injectors (throttle body injection) mounted on a 4bbl intake manifold. This appears to be a real AAR which came originally with a 6bbl induction system. In the video he explains that he wanted better fuel economy and less of the typical hassles associated with carburetors. He still runs an air cleaner lid system that looks correct for a 6bbl.
THE AAR CUDA STROBE stripe is the nicest decal kit of the 70s...i had an opportunity to by a b5 AARcuda delete car in 1983 but had no serious clue what it really was 1500..dollars....i was driving a 70 SE an put the AAR CUDA TRANS thats in this car floor shifter u see round slapstick an 14 to 1 steering box wholly crap it woke my challenger up.. the 727 AT an the factory dodge racing shift kit was el perfecto...2500 stall converter made it a nasty street racer..around stop sign 90 sdegree turn omg dog omg
I heard dodge might bring back the Cuda. I hope they don't fuck up the design like how they disrespected the dodge dart. Smfh. This is the real beauty and the beast. Damn son!
One of my older brothers had a '70 Cuda with a 440 supercommando with 4speed, nothing could beat it, well almost nothing, it was beaten won time my a '69 Z28 camaro with a little 302. But home 🏠 Cubs couldn't touch it!!
They did a nice rotisserie restoration on that car, but the rear valance on the drivers side needs to be attended to, its out of whack,, aside from that,, she's really nice!!
It appears to be a 3 speed automatic, like they came stock. Some people put in 4 speed automatics, but I don't think so here -it looks like a stock transmission.
Isn't Chrysler Dodge Plymouth called a sure grip rear and a posi rear is a GM term ? And shouldn't have been called the sixth barrel instead of a six pack cuz six pack is a Dodge term and six barrels Plymouth? I was just wondering I'm not jealous or anything I do own a barracuda 1966 formula s. 4-speed 8 3/4 rear.
Would have been cooler to see what it can do but I guess it's just a cool looking car to cruise in. Dodge has plans to do a remake of the Cuda similar to the challenger. But that could be 2030 b4 they come out. Hopefully if won't be a dammned electric car thanks to slo MO Joe & his followers....
Buen video, va mi like.
still scratching my head why I didnt buy one of these when I was still a kid I did buy a 11 sec El Camino however but only because I was able to haul a 10 sec Suzuki. Mopars will remain forever my favorites. They will NEVER make a quicker faster engine to go Top Fuel/Funny Car racing ever. Hemi Power without the name of Mopar doesn't mean its not a Mopar
LOVELY, WANTY !!! $50,000 ??? ... I'm joking, I know it's worth about $350,000 and I'm from Ireland ✌️BUT.. If you want to donate it to me, I'll mind it for you until you come over.. 😂😂
It's a build tribute to an AAR. They didn't show the fender tag or you could tell what it was. But, it's got allot of the right parts. Magnum Opus sweet looking car no matter what.
It appears to be a real 6bbl 340ci AAR Cuda. If you listen to the video, the owner wanted a fuel injection system for better economy and less hassles. Hopefully he still has the original induction system. AAR Cuda's didn't come with 440s, but you could option a 1970 Cuda with a 440 6bbl (V code) if you wanted to back then. Hope this information helps you.
In my opinion, the 70-71 'Cudas are second-to-none when it comes to beauty.
Sad they started DTuning them
Handsome not beautiful. 🥸
It doesn't get any more badass than this!
That has to be one of the best looking cars I have ever seen
Right !! 😎
Even as a kid, when it was new I thought this car was way better looking than mustang and Camero. Now I know more about everything and Cuda is still my favorite all these years later
The AAR 'Cuda and the Challenger T/A are the coolest-looking of the bunch.

My neighbor's brother has a purple one with a white top convertible. White interior. Not sure what year but pretty cool
What an amazing sounding Cuda badass 👏
instaBlaster...
It's got that Driver 1 idle (ps1)
What an awesome machine. Goosebumps level over 9k.
Wonderful Fish! And what a sweet sounding engine!
They look good in black. American muscle!
A black Cuda with stance and AAR stripe is the best looking machine on earth
Was that an original AAR Cuda? They are worth a fortune, but only if you leave them stock. AAR Cudas came with a 340 six pack and side exit exhaust.
no exhaust does not exit the rear
They did. According to one of my Muscle Car books, it was just an aesthetic detail. But in fact, it didn't upgrade numbers, as the plumbing was more restrictive.
realy realy realy nice car mate, greatings from Eu
Cool car and smooth camerawork.
I LOVE THAT CUDA, ❤️
Stunning. Love it !
That's one clean Cuda😄
One of my dream cars
Plymouth Barracudas and Cudas my favorite dream cars and i have that in NFS Heat.
I also have the original tie down brackets on my 70 Cuda! Thought I was alone! :)
Sooo beautiful!
Thats sick! my grandpa has a 340
Nice ceer. Which rock did crawl out from. Sounds like it was big one...
Now that's a sweet looking CUDA" YEA HAR UNDERLAY ARIBA NOT to many of them around love it 💥💥
What was the 2nd song that came on in the car???
What a beaut she is.
I love this car
Thats my dream car right there, bad fish
Where's the cam??? Sounds good for stock.
Man, they sure don’t make ‘em like this anymore!
That is a badass car and shop
Ever get your finger stuck in one of the holes in the steering wheel? I did. I Had the 1970 440 cuda, of course I was 17 when it happened so yeah.
Real American muscle 💪
What wheels and tires are on there?
So it has a 440 4bbl with a Dodge Six Pack intake cover?
The obligatory pine tree air freshener. 😆
Is the 'Cuda AT transmission?
*Saulo Correa* Yes that's an automatic!! console shift!!
Is this car for sale??? Please reply.
Mechanical Minds, merci.
Really nice
why is it has a 4 barrel carb when it says six pack on the air filter cap?

i would take any 70/74 cuda in any shape in a heartbeat.....and i bleed chevy orange
i like it i wishd id had 3 cudas
I have that same steering wheel in my 1973 Challenger. Love the car but I would have replaced that rear valance and put in the correct AAR side pipes
Is that '70 Barracuda beside it?
Sweet!
I heard dodge might bring back the Cuda. I hope they don't fuck up the design like how they disrespected the dodge dart. Smfh. This is the real beauty and the beast. Damn son!
All it’s missing is a manual transmission!
He solved that problem for you in his other video, check it out

Beautiful car but needed at least one good romp on the accelerator to make the video more interesting and entertaining.
Very nice.
AAR cudas and Challengers 👍
I like the 7inch headlights instead of the Challengers 4 smaller ones
WOWS 🤩🤩!
NICE 👍
There she is.

Outstanding Cuda! I'd Do a Cam swap for a more aggressive sound, but thats about it.
Sounds already cammed.

Gotta have that pistol grip
4 speed??

Car has '72 - '74 gauges, seats and steering wheel. I wonder if it's even a '70. Probably converted over.

wait that's not 6-pack that's a 4bbl carb
Automatic transmision..... That s too bad.
It's a Plymouth...that would make it a 6 barrel. Dodge called their set up 6 Pack...Although really this is neither with that Sniper

But, it's got allot of the right parts. Magnum Opus sweet looking car no matter what.
340 six pack. Not the most powerful of the 'Cudas. Track version had a single 4 barrel.
fast n furious....aar cuda
Guy. Your drive shaft is going to fall out.
Good catch. He needs the driveshaft lengthened a few inches. That's odd if it's the original 340 and 727 trans.
440 fuel injection
Fake six pack... uh... Is it even a real 440?... For some reason I'd put an X-Pipe to get rid of that tug boat sounding exhaust :)
