That BRM V16 is one of the most epic sounding engines, but I enjoyed all of them.
This sound reminds me of some cars i FlatOut 2 :D
That video is the most eargastic engine porn one can imagine, best sounding race engine of all time.
agreed. amazing sound :D
Andrés Alarcón they're wrecking behind you
@@bhangarh7784 Road King sounds like that when you upgrade it in Flatout Ultimate Carnage, it revs somewhere to 7900~8000 and boy high rev crossplane V8 sounds the best
"Lighter than your Girlfriend" Lmao
Cracked me the hell up
He’s not seen my gf ..... 😂
nitrorory Feed her some KFC she'll grow fat in less than one week.
I don't have a girlfriend
Aggggaaaaaaaaaaa...........
DriftKing609 Of course you dont you Lonly Driver.
4:43 jokes on you, an engine can't be lighter than something that doesn't exist
Garden your Bart profile pic makes that comment even better xD
Garden Damn thas sad.
* Inserts picture of a sad cat *
Definitely lighter than mine 😢 she’s a big block 😂
780hp out of 1.5l in the 40s holy sh$t
Think at the courage of the pilots... with radial tires, drum brakes and no helmets.... sitting on the fuel tank.
marco fiorillo Real fukin men.
Old school tuner belike
Bmw made 1500HP in the 80s from the same displacement
In the video moment they drive the similar devils car on the road which has snow on the roadside view from the car
Mazda MX-3 1.8 V6. Incredible sound from the tiny japanese V6
LeBeckStudio Indeed ! (got one)
i was hoping someone would comment this. beautiful engine
1.8...V6?
cloridan Beauchamps 1.6 v6? That's crazy!
Lighter than my gf? Does this mean she could handle me revving my piston with 12000rpm aswell?
You sir, have a very, very dirty mind :-)
Sebaxtain as long as it only lasted 30 seconds
Your piston has the same speed as a marine diesel
Sebaxtain
You'll need to give her a *wet* sump first 😜
@J.P. Craven lol
Bugatti straight 8, OHC or DOHC, 2,3L, with or without a Supercharger, anywhere from 100 to 160hp at around 6000 rpm... in the twenties !
Those engines sounds very deep and brutal. A road going, detuned, Type 55 could go from 0 to 60 in 9.5 sec in 1931.
By the way, nice work.
You should do a video on sleeve valves engine, some racing ones are pretty sweet sounding like the Voisin record breaker.
Jean-Charles Weyland sleeve valve inline 6 makes a cammed v8 sound like a 4banger
It can deal with a higher compression ratio and vibrates less than a common engine... However, it's got less torque and has a tendency for great oil consumption.
With a straight pipe, no matter the displacement it always sounds deep and throaty, without being intrusive... nice combo for a GT !
Won't pass emissions sadly
Jean-Charles Weyland yea they generally smoke more than my Yamaha sled with the wrong oil mix. (I run it with a bit extra oil because it is a 35 year old air cooled twin)
Nice precaution, a bit o'smoke's always better that a seized piston...
I've got a 33 Ravat ER101, it's a 175cc two stroke single. I tend to use a 3,5-4% mineral oil mix just in case.
What's your Yamaha ? RDX ?
Jean-Charles Weyland srv 540
The 1.6 beemer was the most interesting to me.
Honorable mention, honda goldwing 1.8 flat 6 and Ferrari 2L V8 from 208 I think. Cheers visio, I really apreciatte your work!!
VisioRacer >> Another small engine (1.3) with a beefy sound : ruclips.net/video/nYufk6TT8WU/видео.htmlm41s
Mais t'es partout nom d'une pipe
You shoud make a video about Tatra and its history as not many people know about it.
Y E S
I love Tatras because they look so funky and they get so much power from air-cooled engines. :D
A brilliant idea!
Agree. Very not much known manufacturer of soviet-styled but classy and powerful cars, unstoppable trucks, mighty racing machines, most of their lineup being based on their badass sounding aircooled V8, which also powers the War Rig semi-truck of Mad Max 4. What else?
@@Damien.D It's Czech was known as a Nazi officer killer, Eastern bloc later.
The Moto Guzzi V8 may be lighter than my girlfriend, but not even half as loud.
Ahhahahahahah accurate!
See this time I knew it was your video lol.
Great job as always mate.
Haha, thanks
The k1600 is amazing!
The rev limiter on it is eargasmic
this Daimler and Tatra had the beefiest sound.
I'd like to know more about the Daimler engine. What made it sounded so rough?
Jay Leno has a great video on the Daimler SP250. It makes a glorious sound!
Must say I absolutely love the Tatra v8s. And as you say they are very impressive in performance for what they are.
That little 500cc, 30.5ci V8 has less displacement than 1 cylinder from my 6.23L, 380ci V8 Chevy.
just one cylinder?? oh wow, you are so big
stickloaf
Not really. There are big blocks at my race track pushing nearly 10 liters of displacement or over 1 liter per cylinder. That's big (for a car).
Because americans need huge displacement to get some kind of power out of their engines. In other words very inefficient.
omfgwtfbbq90 Some American racing engines have among the highest specific output of any racing engines.
Ford has put out some pretty high specific output engines, including a flat plane V8 in the new Mustang.
However, there is something to be said for low specific output. It helps prolong engine life, for example.
Swedish Glaze you have brought such constructive and mature arguments into this comment section. How old are you my dear sir?
The Moto Guzzi V8 is the BRM V16 of the motorcycle world.
A honorable mention should have beem the Alfa Romeo Montreal with its 2.5L V8
Well done, that would be my pick also. It’s 2.6 though. This or the 2.0 v8 of the tipo33 stradale. Same engine, the 2.6 is detuned for road use.
Yes please.
for a four cylinder that last bike sounds kinda awesome
I would probably say the Volvo 5bangers. They are «normal» sized but their sound being f.ex the 2.0L is quite amazing
Oh, your ears are definitely going to be in for a treat!
Josh Bacon If they survive that is.
I don't know where this guy finds all this info on so many engine variants, but its brilliant! Learn something new everytime i watch his videos, and very entertaining. Thanks alot from 'Murica!
Man so many left out I don't know where to begin!!! Any Triumph triple (i-3), any v-twin or L-twin, any single cylinder 4 stroke bike engine, quite a few parallel twins, the Mazda 20b, the BMW boxer, a 1300cc beetle engine with UEL headers...and so many more!!! I might have to make my own list to counter Visio Racer! Oh and how about the Cross plane R1's!?!? The fiat 500 abarth? The fiat 500 parallel twin (twin air?)
it had to be only 8 small engines sadly, i wish it was 100.
boarderboi7 abarth 500 is on another level of insane sound
I love it when you include bikes in your videos.
That K1600 sound is just heavenly. I must own one.
In 'Red-neck Land' their big-block V8s are usually lighter than their girl-friends!
but we dont have girlfriends
Nothing wrong with a T H I C C engine...
This is so entertaining... One of my favorite “slow day at work” channels! Thanks for the continued content!
That Aprilla RSV4 sounds absolutely amazing!
I think that the Kent crossflow is a wonderful sounding engine with suitable carbs and exhaust fitted and is a very strong engine that has a big following with the early fast Ford crowd
I like that you don't discriminate against motorcycles...both cars and bikes are badass so both deserve their spotlight!
I love the Tatra engines! .........especially the air cooled big truck engines!
That BMW motorcycle sounds incredible!!
Alfa Romeo's 1.7 liter powering the 4C
Fiat's 1.4 liter powering the 500 Abarth.
Alejandro Diaz my Cruze sounds better than a 500 Abarth
Alejandro Diaz yeah was waiting for the abarth. Sounds truly insane. One was driving next to me in a parking lot and it sounded like a huge sports car and then you see the tiny fiat :D
I hear them on a nearly daily basis, they don't sound anywhere near as good as you might think
i think they sound amazing... or the ones i heard tuned the exhaust a bit... but i dont think so.
That little 2.5l Daimler V8 sounds awesome! So does the Tatra V8. It sounds like a Ford Flathead!
Oh-my-oh-my! @4:05 that Merc W25 sounds just freakin' awesome!
i've got an 04 xr400 - completely stock, still has spark arrestors and everything, and i dont know if it's just me, but when you're on the bike, at high rpm's it sounds like a proper L twin. badass.
That BRM simply had to feature in this video! Good choice! The Suzuki Cappuccino has a pretty strong sound for a 660cc engine.
That Daimler has a really nice purr
My 12hp Briggs and Stratton go kart sounds awesome with a 6 inch straight pipe!
I wanna add the 1.4 turbo from the Abarth 500 to this list
If we are adding 4 cylinders i choose the Toyota 1.6 in the 90's Corolla
Lighter than your girlfriend? Didn't know Moto Guzzi had made an engine with negative mass XD
GM family 1 VHCE 1.0L without filter and without catalyst ... this has the sound of the trumpets of the apocalypse!
"deep and brutal" 😁
TTime685 like the Subaru boxer 4 sounds pretty mean to me
You finally looked at the k1600GTL! God I love that bike, it has the best sound ive ever heard coming from a motorcycle
opposed 18hp Briggs And Stratton engine with strieght pipes has raspy almost Harly Davidson sound and have been customized with forged metal internals to run over 10000 rpms.
10,000 revolutions per hour maybe
ruclips.net/video/aNoE6wkD_Lg/видео.html
Modified my governor for 4600 rpms could do 5000 but not safe. Its set up for garden tractor pulls.
Damn Visio! I knew none of the engines in this video except maybe the Tatra. Such a shame Tatra is gone. That BMW engine sounds glorious! Awesome video!
I know 2 V6’s, both 4.0. Although the size is big you’d never expect the noises they make to come from the cars they do...the first is the V6 from the 2005-2010 Nissan Navara ST-X, the engine originally comes from the 350z but is tuned to produce more torque and I think a bigger turbo is added. It’s a mid sized truck that looks nothing special but the noise is very beefy. The other is the Twin-H In-line 6 from the 1951-1954 Hudson Hornet. It produced 170hp from a 4 litre which is a lot for the age, and it sounds very mean, especially for a 6 cylinder
You'd be amazed at how meaty some 40-50cc R/C engines sound. It's like 'really? That sounds nicer then my first car did.'
I feel like I should point out that Tatra V8s have also always been air-cooled. So that's a 200hp 2.5L AIR-COOLED naturally-aspirated V8 in the 1950s. Really makes you wonder why American makers couldn't make anything way more powerful than that with their humongous water-cooled engines.
Calyo Delphi
Because 'Murica
We prefer torque and quality to horsepower. I read a story in Hemmings of a '54 Buick being driven across the country with a hole in a piston, eating itself alive and it still made it thousands of miles.
Calyo Delphi that assumes that were trying to. When it comes to v8s you will not best the Americans. I'm sorry
The Czechslovakian Tatra was a fascinating car. Their engines were rear-mounted and air cooled. Some of their designs were the basis for the VW beetle, the Tucker Torpedo, and the Chevrolet Corvair. The rear-engined Porsches were basically also influenced by Tatra, albeit indirectly via Dr.Porsche's initial designs for the Volkswagen.
The Czechs were not very interested in exporting their automotive technology and did not make many efforts to sell Tatras outside of Czechoslovakia. A problem with using larger and more powerful air-cooled engines in the US is that it gets hot in lots of regions in the US. In Czechoslovakia in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, it never got that hot there. A lot of places in the US, 83°F is a nice day. In the old Czechslovakia, that was a heat wave. Higher performance air-cooled engines would overheat in summer traffic in places like Houston. Porsche 911s had to have two oil coolers to contend with Texas heat. The Tucker prototypes had their air-cooled Franklin helicopter engines modified to be water-cooled.
VWs and Corvairs were not as high-strung, but would still suffer burned valves frequently.
The designers of some of these cars managed to find ways to deal with cooling in the southern US summer, but it was easier to just water-cool them and be done with it. Another problem was emissions. It is very difficult to reduce emissions in air-cooled engines and this is what finally led to the demise of air-cooled VWs in the US.
Tatra has indicated they did build an air-cooled engine that meets most emissions standards, but they have not built passenger cars since 1994. Their primary concern is commercial trucks now.
I do love air-cooled engines, though. My vintage Bellanca airplane has an air-cooled Franklin engine, quite similar to the engines in the first Tucker Torpedos. Most small aircraft are air-cooled.
Great soundtracks! I know it's kinda weird, but I think that a few 500cc singles - breathing properly, of course - have a pretty big sound coming out of them. See also: Norton Manx / International (in 350 and 500cc), Yamaha SRX 6 and Ducati Supermono for some of that big sound.
That Mercedes engine is my new favorite noise in the world. Also, it's not a vehicle engine, but the little Maytag 72 twin washing machine engines from the 30's sound just like little tiny Harleys
8:11 sounds similar like old Cosworth DFV. Nice !
Some of my favorite motors!
Man, that Mercedes W25 has to have the loudest blower I've ever heard. It can be CLEARLY heard, in front, back or wherever, over the open piped exhaust at any point in the rev range, at any throttle position. That's nuts.
Love that Tatra V8 that sounds like a 289 small block Ford
That straight eight sounded impressive. More different from a V8 than I would have expected.
What about the fiat 500 Abarth/ Dodge Dart Rallye 1.4 multiar turbo engine?
Scott Jones its the lack of mufflers that give the fiat abarth the deep sound at idle.
Mazda L3-VDT 2.3L from the Mazdaspeed3/6 and CX7 sounds great with a free flowing exhaust, surprisingly deep and throaty sound for an inline 4, and it makes great torque too!
I've always found the Ford Taunus 17M V4 engine sound to be awesome.
Like the K1600 :) Nice video
To see these hairy-chested engines in tiny cars on skinny tires makes one wonder at the bravery of the drivers.
And the sound is so intoxicating, the ICE will never die.
The Benz w225 has to be one of my top 5 sounds.
The Daimler SP250 Dart was one of the loveliest cars of my childhood... In the saloon, the engine was dropped into a MkII Jaguar body, and given extra luxury trim. It was never as popular as the 6cyl Jaguars, but for those who preferred to withdraw cash from a bank by means of the business end of a shotgun, it was equally adept at leaving those annoying sirens and bells behind in their dust, as its Jaguar counterparts...!
Fiat 8v sounds amazing, and in my dreams so would the Ferrari 166.
I am fortunate to own a Benelli SEI, my second. These 750 cc inline six cylinder bikes, the first six cylinder bikes, have a wonderful sound.
One engine I’ve always liked is the Saab Sonett with the Ford V4. Small engine with good power and sound compared to the 3 cylinder 2 stroke it replaced
That Ford “Taunus” v4 engine’s basic design evolved for decades and even made it into the 2010’s in the form of the ford 4.0 sohc v6 in rangers, explorer and mustangs. The cologne v6 history is one of the strangest and longest series of events an engine design can go though l.
Both the BRM and Merc sound fucking INSANE! Cheers for another top vid mate!
the honda vf1100s circa 84 and 85 my.
incredible that something so small sounds incredible
Stratos with that singing 2.4 Dino V6..
Another is more rare, mid '90 Ghibli Cup 2.0 V6 Biturbo, never forget when you hear one..
My Missus weighs 48kgs, so that's three of her. Great video a usual, thanks.
the boxer 6 from the Honda Valkyrie is music to my ears.
00:41 that guy with the red and black jacket looked really cool.
The 1JZ is a pretty small engine, displacement-wise, and with the right exhaust, it sounds orgasmic.
BMW k1600 sounds so epic! Also BMW made a 2 litre 6 cilinder engine for cars which sounds awesome as well
I agree with all those engines in the video but the BRM V16 is the best and the meanest sounding engine i have ever listened to
Loved it. You just gave me idea to swap that BMW 1600 engine to a Myvi 2017 LoL
Can't beat the sound of the ford flathead.
straight piped renault c1j from the r5 gt turbo
I'm coming ...I'm coming ohhhh 😩 ahhhhhhhh🤪V8...yeah baby!!
Thanks so much !! I am a motorsund lover too. Great sounds and good information. Thanks again !
Bravo, Visio Racer! :D
Honda RC166 would be at the top of my list.
That Mercedes w25 is amazing
That Daimler Hemi sounds phenomal at cruising speed
Kawasaki z1300 inline-6 sounds amazing as well, and naturally the Husquarna 900 Nuda (Look up RoyalJordanian's videos for that one). When talking car engines i think that the 1600 from the old Porsche 356 also sounds a lot bigger than it is, not to mention the 550 Spyder, with its awesome 1500cc
Life is not fair.Visio is doing videos eith great content and puttin real hardwork in it but still 296k subscribers. You should have one million till now.
Love the BRM V16
A Subaru flat 4 with or without turbo sounds amazing. Also a Jaguar V8 with supercharger, and last but not least a V8 TVR!
I played that Aprilla V-4 twice.
Gloryoski Daddywarbucks...the engine pitch sounded as if some one was playing tricks with a tape...
The Bugatti type 35 is also a small mean sounding engine, 2.2 litre straight 8, fantastic!
4:15 baby dodge challenger hellcat :P
Good job on the video, the cars sound great ;)
4:43 DAAAAAAAAAAMN
LMAO
Btw, that Tatra 607 Monoposto is my fav, looks so fun to drive
Superquadro Stradale (v4) from the new Ducati Panigale V4 sounds very nicely too. It sounds deep like a V2 at low rev.
The Triumph 3-litre V8 from the Stag probably qualifies as small, and is one of the best sounding V8s in my opinion.
I just love the Tatra v8, not persay the most powerful, but supersmooth and actually the most reliable thing to have come from the soviet era eastblock
yes! 5:06 finally a track from my country
7:10 dude probably just got 3rd degree burns and was like no one saw me. 🤣🤣🤣
7:11 "I bet that's hot." *car revs* "Yep."
Be interesting to see a video about vans with unusual engines! 😂
