5: How to Learn and UNDERSTAND All the Major Key Signatures and Where to Place Your Fingers "violin"

  • Learning all the major key signatures is easy with the right approach, especially for violinists, since some believe that our modern system of key signatures was invented because of the violin.
    Additional points of interest:
The key signatures D flat major and C sharp major are, for all practical purposes, identical; as well as B major and C flat major, which means that the scales are "enharmonic."
A shortcut to find the names of the flat key signatures (after the key of F with one flat) is the name of the next to the last flat.
Some video clips and sound effects were supplied by artlist.io and artgrid.io

Genius has been described as the ability to explain complex matters to a child, and having the child fully grip the concept clearly and quickly.

I began to learn to play violin at the age of 47. My husband was a professional violinist, and since I wanted to learn Violin since I was twelve years old, but my parents didn’t let me! 😢 I am 73 years old and still playing. My husband is no longer around, so I am learning to take care of my violin!
I thank you so much for your teachings. I am already subscribed to your channel/ Program.
    Thanks again! 🎻🎻

Thank you so much. It's a new experience trying to teach these kinds of lessons online, and your comment means a lot to me.
I just looked at my computer and it says that I created 1,053 photos, drawing, and video clips in my effort to make this appear "simple." :) = There's a lot more to making a video like this than meets the eye, but I'm glad I did it.

Thanks Kevin, I did learn B C and E F the major 1/2 step helps to remember. I'm actually a guitarist but love playing violin, but no practice time, I live as a homeless man since 2002, but still I have about 15 violins scattered in Kentucky 🤓 pu a beautiful Maginni German copy with one top plate crack, two days ago with an M & W bullshead case and Bausch bow. I'm excited to get that thing up and running.

Also, students seem to learn so much faster if they understand this at the very beginning and don't wait to hopefully "learn it along the way." Thanks again!
