Probably the easiest are these rolls of butyl sealant: amzn.to/2QemCxq Unfortunately I didn't have any here so I just ran a thick bead of black permatex and then waited for it to tack up before putting the barrier back on.
You DONT need to remove that outer crome trim. It pulls up and out fine with that thin piece in place. Just fold the seal off the rear edge of the glass and pull up so the rear upper corner is out if the track towards the rear of the car first
This Channel will never run out of content while its focus on the BMW brand. There is always something that needs to be modified, repaired or re-repaired or re-modified or... I have enough trouble keeping one BMW running - you guys have a fleet! Nice job man.
Admittedly all cars do break window regs but i would have liked to think the elite Bavarian barges had unique, special regs that were unbreakable. Its definitely not the case...
Yeah same for me Craig, got regulator for rear right and put off the job for a few weeks and now the rear left has gone again, only done it 2 years ago .. lol
Oh That sucks. Have you checked the window runners are clean and it slides smoothly? I common thing is if 1 side is slightly harder for it to move than the opposite side the window twists in the runners and it tries to wedge itself in there which puts a lot of strain on all the plastic parts. I actually put lube on these window runners too the day after this video
@@ZeroTo60Tube they seemed pretty clean when I did them and I always use gummi pfledge on all the rubbers. When I do it again I'll make sure I do all the slides and everything. I hope it's just that and not that the aftermarket ones are just crap because it's the same door not even a year later lol
What size has the Shop, how wide and long is it? I want to build my own little Shop in the future and youres look perfect for my needs. Greetings from Germany
If you can go 7m deep it will make a big difference. At 6m there is very little room to work around the front/rear of the car but I think 7m would be epic!
Can anyone recommend what the sealing "tack" glue should be?

“Nobody has been in the back seat” - story of my life mate.
Background music was way too sexy for this video.
It was funny to put that in. Great video.

haha I mean i love it... but I must admit it can get exhausting sometimes with these older models
Thank s for the tutorial , while I don’t have a BMW it has given me an idea on how these work 😊
Whoa I need those blade wheels 😮🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely love them awesome tri-spoke wheel! 😍😍
style 38 , look like 19" when they are 17" !
Nice and in depth for doughnuts like me 👍🏻
🤣🤣
I really like your unique wheels, cool look. I've owned a bunch of BMWs and the one I had to do window regulators the most was a X5. Always Breaking.

i love those wheels!
To avoid marring the leather I always pop my window switch out from the inside ones the door car is free of the door.
That makes sense, thanks for the tip
I'm about to do my RHR regulator, been putting it off for a while, it hasn't completely failed yet but it bothering my ocd haha.
Just noticed your badge!! Thanks so much for supporting what we're doing man. Jump on the reg, not just for your OCD before for your car!!! hehe.
Zero To 60 my pleasure, love the channel and what you guys are doing, there’s not enough Aus based BMW content out there. Glad to help out.
Hi guys, sent an email to your youtube business listed in description about something maybe concerning
Great video. How long did this take you from start to finish?
Alot easier than my old IS. Tgat was all riveted in
Yeah any that are riveted in are a bugger. Especially if some of the rivets are in hard to get to spots
You have to pull the glass out and trims off in E60 as well :(
Done this a few times. On different doors. Over many years ha. They don't last long before it will need another.
I admire you optimism...... haha

Mine is rooted at the moment too, already replaced it once in the same door lol

Man less than a year really sucks! At least you’ll be quick at it now 😅
@@ZeroTo60Tube haha that's true!
y heave the same wheels on my e39 M technik :( if one day y could find the same again on my actual e39...

It is a nice little shed. The total size is 6m x 12m
@@ZeroTo60Tube pefeckt thank you!!!
Its the same size i can build
Maybe i even can go 7m x 12m.

@@ZeroTo60Tube no i have the orher way , my Shop would be 7m wide and 12m long.
You don't have to hold the switch down all the time. they're automated on e39s, so-called "one-touch". you must have noticed that, mustn't you have...
The selected audio made sexy what would otherwise have been a very monotonous job.
👍👍👍
Please so mine l don't think think thats an Australian accent though.
Quel est le moteur de l'e39 ?
This is the M62 4.4L v8
1 dislike from the broken window motor that got replaced lol
Haters gonna hate 😂
