Hi Beacon, thanks for this review. These Poi look neat!! I am new to this. I'm a fan of Drex's and Nick Woosley's work-- I had never heard of Poi and then came across it while looking for an LED frisbee for my little cousin. I had to buy a set of SpinBalls. I am legally blind, so this is a huge challenge for me. But I am in love with it! I just can't get that 3 beat weave down! After weeks of trying, I can't get it. But I'm going to keep trying! I want a set of these poi now!!

Hey sorry about the late response. That is awesome that you are getting into poi. The 3 beat weave is the foundation to poi spinning in my opinion. Some people get it right away and some people it takes forever to learn, I was a forever to learn person. Once you get it though it is amazing how quick you start learning other tricks and how many tricks that move applies to. Nick Woosley is definitely the guy to learn from when. I wish I had when I was younger because he has so many tricks so many people skip over today and never learn the fundamentals. These SpinOptics are amazing but I mostly use LED poi from Flow On Fire, they are amazing and quite forgiving when you hit yourself, plus they have a zillion patterns.

Do you own a pair of V1? do they weight the same? or is the only difference the led module?

hey beacon, btwn Drex's and yours I would say these are def my next purchase. I have pods, ultra, and Future (remote, XLs def don't fit my style) so first off, THANKS FOR SHARING...love the flow as well as a lot of your other vids. As a major DIY guy I really appreciate em :)
Can you help me out with something though, what are you doing between those caps towards the beginning? Almost looks like a type of crosser or snake going over the shoulder...kinda hard to tell and I couldn't slow the video down yet to really see what you're up to there, lol
