It would’ve been cooler if you put links in the description ( takealot, amazon etc. )for where we could get all those the stuff that you used ( 0:17 )...but otherwise, thanks for the informative video👍🏼
@@natekeyss for the fuel filter you just need to prime your pump to fill the new fuel filter before you start the car so just turn your ignition on and off about 3 times and you will hear your fuel pump coming in and off then start the car and you will be all good 👍🏼
@vusumzinomatye3592 you need to get a small pod filter to put on the pipe so the oil does not come out and mess the engine, and the engine can still breathe
@vusumzinomatye3592 if you watch my video on how to paint a valve/tappet cover at around 9:30 you will see the filter I am talking about, this filter can be bought from any spare shop
Yes it's the same to service all mk1s just follow these steps and you'll have your vehicle perfect for the next 15000km till you gotta service it again
@frederick mosiane 20w50 is manufacture spec but as a vehicle gets older it requires a higher viscosity oil so for higher mileage cars I use a higher viscosity(thicker) oil
Yes it will prevent lifter/tappet noise in the future ,it's the right oil for a higher mileage car or a car that is used as a daily as it's thicker it should lose minimal viscosity till your next service

Definitely something I will include in future video's.

Dankie my boeta
How often do I need to do this?
you can do a mileage service(at every 15000km for petrol engines and 10000km for diesel) or an yearly service, which ever comes first.
What if I’m buying a used one is the servicing the same?
Yes it's the same to service all mk1s just follow these steps and you'll have your vehicle perfect for the next 15000km till you gotta service it again
@@supermancustoms thanks bro I’ll look you up when I’m in Cape Town you show me around.😅
@@supermancustoms sure bro. Is that oil the recommended one coz I hear 20 w50 should be the one used

Wil that oil not cause lifter noise in future?

@@supermancustoms what is ur current mileage?
@Menoboy meno i have around 320000km and travel around 600 to 700km a week
@@supermancustoms ok i hope the 15 40 oil wont cause bearing knock sooner
@Menoboy meno I know of some guys with high mileage golf's who even go as high up as using diesel oil and their vehicles still run perfectly
Can you name all the tools you used
Keep an eye out for my next video 😊
