I have trouble falling asleep. This is so soothing 😌
Can’t go wrong with a blown SBC! Thing sounds rowdy!
Thank You
Only thing badder is a SBC1 Iron block set at 500 inches. Big Difference between my blown 421 and blown 500 inch. A bit easier to do with a Dart Little M or Dart Iron Eagle, than with a SBC1(as I call them) I can't believe it's been forgotten about. Sonny Leonard did it for years, as did Jenkins.
That's my kinda Christmas Carol, 🎄 music to my ears, happy holidays
Thanks, perfect holiday music selection!!
Damn that's one rowdy sounding sbc ..... Goota love that Blower surge !!!!!
lol it was especially rowdy!
Have a 383 in my 79 camaro but this would look great sticking out the hood
YES!
Would be very interesting to see this under the hood of an OBS Chevy
What HP and Torque does this combo make. This is exactly what I am looking for. Damn it sounds so good
The sound of music!!
I had a 383 blown small block in my 1965 Chevy 4x4, It was a beast!
Can you please design an install kit for my Smart fortwo...LOL
We should that would be great!!!😂
What ever it's going in will be a force on street or strip nasty sounding 👍👏
Thank you! 😊
Gonna tunnel ram with 2 750 double pumper carbs on my 383 stroker engine in my 1985 iroc z28 camaro!! This will be my next project on it!!🚘😡👍
I got a 383 stroker with two four barrels with a tunnel ram on my 87, gonna supercharge it soon
Beautiful, and the sound is amazing!😍👌
Thanks
I have a question because I figure this is the place to ask it, why does half the blower community (who still stick with carbs) claim that you dont need boost referenced carbs/boost referenced power valves, being that this a draw through application. While the other half says no there is no need for boost referenced carbs. I ask because whether it's my VW with a draw through turbo setup or my camaro that has a blown small block in it, neither of my applications have a boost reference. Do people do it for driveability/tunability is there a significant gain I can get if I do convert my carbs over? I would greatly appreciate any response and thankyou for your time.
Hell yeah... That beast would be perfect for my 87 Z28 Camaro
Yes it would
I got a 383 stroker in mine right now I’m looking to supercharge
Maybe it’s me. But I think it needs more fuel at idle.
Nah….just a little more throttle ….lol
Fuel adjustment +/- smooths alot of that out. Normal thing till you get that particular set up done. Every build requires something different...
Have to change my shorts after hearing that awesome small block
LOL
Bucket list is to build and install one like this in my 66SS Impala convertible
That would be great
That Sounds Amazing!
Nice.. I just went threw my little 142 😃
That thing sounds awesome 👍👍
Thanks
We need Dyno videos !!!
Damn that belt is tight as fuck.
I'm going to put this on my sound system, very cool 😎
Thanks!! 😎
Nice I have a 383 stroker 1400 horsepower...pro street.....69 chevelle...sounds awesome....
Very nice!
What does a build like this cost as a long block? I have a 6-71 on my 350 sbc but want to go 383 stroker
What cam is in that?
What's the cam duration lift intake an exhaust.. please like to know thank you
so making sure the throttle blades are shut and adjusting IAB size would fix the surge?
At what point of overlap would you say is "Wrong" for a blower?
Hell watching this video i keep thinking i need to do this to my amigo ..lol
You should!
What beautiful instrument of violence. Nice fella's. Sounds pissed.
Great comment!! 😂😂
@@blowersurge Thank you sir. Just callin'em how I see'em.
👍🇺🇸💪
Power surge is great!! At least 850 hp🚘😡😊
How a set up like this cost just this one love the sound very interested
What MSD ignition is that? just a 6al or a 6BTM?
love to have this in a little vega thats my dream car
Good Choice!
Surge surge surge surge surge surge waaaaaaaaàaaaaa...waaaaaappppaaa!😂
That thing sounds so vicious when those things are off
What things?
@@waynemetevia7983lol mufflers
Sounds Badass.❤
Thanks
I'm 18% overdriven no surge done every adjustment on the carbs I could. Going 25% overdriven get me the surge you think?
No cooling system?
what cam is that
Thats what I'm Talking about sound great .Have a question are 2- 750's carb's to big to run on a 671 SBC
You basically want as big of carburetors as you can use, within reason. Since the carburetors are your restriction the bigger they are the snappier the throttle response will be because the blowers rotors can immediately start grabbing air. You get to a point where you start sacrificing drive-ability because it'll be "too snappy" with too big of carburetors, so you just have to find the in-between you like
That's nicer that a tesla
Yes sir!!
After I do a burnout my motor wants to turn off. Runs out of gas I'm thinking. I've been told it could be timing, float bowl level, fuel pressure. Where do you think I should start. 427 BBC w/6-71 drag car only. Any help appreciated.
Hi Manuel, sorry , I missed this question. Have you resolved your issue yet?
How do you guarantee surge?
Do you have any info on the cam? Thanks
Sorry, our cams are custom grinds so we don't usually give the information out.
Yoo drop link to the blower I have a 383 blueprint sbc and need to achieve this sound…..
it is a Blower Shop Blower but surging is caused by a combination of the tune and the build. FYI: Not all combinations will surge.
im going to try hard to get my dream car its a vega with motor like this im hoping ill be getting money im surpose to get soon and me and my bother going to be running a business soon which will be good money coming in if all goes right im getting that vega and motor like this
Love Vegas!! 2 of our employees have them. Good luck getting it done!! You will have fun with it.
Wow badass!!!
Thanks 😁
is having a 6 71 blower in a car/truck good decent daily driven car/truck... how long/hourly blower can handle,
if its tuned right, sure. Drive as long as you want
Oh yea...sounds awesome when the mufflers are removed...
It does!
What is the blower ratio and boost...?
Nice!
Thanks 😊
What kinda HP is this thing producing. Highly interested in purchasing
my guess is 650 hp or 700 hp
One thing plain and simple is it's not tuned, although many people think blower surge sounds cool, it's actually a rich/lean condition and can easily be tuned out, surge drives real tuners crazy because it's not hard to tune out, carbs are the easiest, and it can even be done with EFI and mechanical injection
thank you for pointing that out. Yes, we do know we can tune it out if we wanted to do that but we want it to surge. It causes no harm to the engine and it doesn’t affect the performance so we leave it in because people like it.
@@blowersurge I get it the "surge brigade" don't know what they don't know
But the people that are really into performance and know how to tune just cringe and laugh at it, but to each their own
@@garyallen8869 just because we have blower surge doesn’t mean we are not really into performance or don’t know how to tune. Maybe we just like the money from the surge videos. We have a paid RUclips account and blower videos have more views. It is as simple as that. No need to put our tuning abilities down or say that real tuners laugh about it.
@@blowersurge not putting anything down, bottom line it's either tuned correctly or it isnt
@@garyallen8869 it doesn’t interfere with the performance of the car on the street or at the track. So what does it really matter if it brings smile to someone’s face?
What are them headers for?
That motor sounds so vicious windows little things are off
It’s simply music.
Yes it is...
Badass. Is this a pump gas motor? What makes it surge?
Yes, it is a 93 or higher pump gas motor. The surging is due to the tune and build combination.
The surge is a lean-rich-lean-rich-lean-rich condition. It goes lean and revs up it gets wet and idles down... A "good" tune would eliminate the surge. Trust me it would suck to drive through town and at slow speeds. Been there, done that, and worked my way through the tune to make it nice to drive everyday. They will make your neck and back sore when they do that.
Only thing I hear is a sporadic idle caused by improperly tune carburetors!
I cant hear you over the surge. lol
Blower surge is not a good thing it’s caused by running it way to lean
It is actually a lean/rich cycle on idle not just lean. I understand that many people do not like the surge. It doesn't cause any harm we have been running engines with surge for over 40 years. We have customers out there with blower engines that have been running for almost 20 years with blower surge. It can be tuned to remove the surge if the customer doesn't like it but most customers want it. 😊
Till it spits out a crank weight on the track
Are you commenting on all of Steve Morris’s videos too? He had 5 pieces of Mallory come out of one of his engines? Have you also tracked how many of Mcvay’s engines have broke on Billy to date? This is a big boy sport engines break. It has been over a year get over it. Don’t worry about Billy he is laughing all the way to the bank. On social media drama pays.
Hot rod porn! I would love to have that motor for my '76 Corvette. How much? I am willing to buy.
Thanks, base engine starts at $18,500.00. We offer upgrades for as well.
That needs a s10
sounds so mean when you got a motor sounding like this who needs a radio ive seen cars with motors like this and have high dollar radios in them
Exactly!!
not a satisfying as watching the old guy adjusting the carburetors on the sbc 871 from 2015
ruclips.net/video/fWXKd7ePMnE/видео.html&ab_channel=BoxPerformanceInc.
Is that thing knockin?
No, the cameras have terrible sound quality.
I was kidding
Dumbest comment "This engine had so much surge it sounded like a big block!! " what the hell is that supposed to mean?
Guessing the whiners and internet super tuners arent actually car guys .
Stop bitching sheesh
They can't sop hating!! lol
😖
Bad ass I have a blown sb 400 overdriven has serious blower surge no way to stop it unless I lose power and change the pulleys ???
You can try adjusting the carbs and see if that helps. If it is not as rich it may not surge as much.
Wow an engine builder that puts up a video of blower surge proving they don't know what they're doing and probly why Billy's motor got trashed. BLOWER SURGE IS CAUSED BY IMPROPER TUNING! USUALLY A LEAN CONDITION PEOPLE!!!!!!
Blower surge can only be tuned out with EFI not with carburetors. He is running dual carbs and it is awesome.
Actually, the engine is on the rich side not lean side. In a carbureted engine the surge is caused by the throttle plates being forced to close or flex at a slow idle due to high vacuum. When the vacuum drops then the plates open back up. This causes the rich/lean hunting sound that you hear. It only surges at a dead idle. There is nothing wrong with having it surge. The car has run for over 20 years with the surge. We have drive it on the street and race it at the track. We have won many races over the years with it. As for Billy, don't believe everything you see on social media.
You are correct! 😁😁😁
@@lukehayvaz9194 Incorrect
Keep idle higher
Too bad this video wasn’t just a little longer.
😢
I'm 18% overdriven no surge done every adjustment on the carbs I could. Going 25% overdriven get me the surge you think?
The carbs are out of adjustment. That's why it's surging. It sounds cool, not really doing anything for performance.
@@DamionG1987 most of the customers want the surge cause it sounds cool but it really doesnt hurt anything but the idle
