This is definitely one of the dramas I was most looking forward to lately because it marked the return of Jung So-min since the wonderful Alchemy of Souls (excluding her cinematic forays into Project Wolf Hunting and Love Reset, I have yet to see the latter), an actress I love intensely, as good as she is beautiful, so I had a certain expectation. Was it satisfied? I would say yes, but not in this first episode; let me explain: this is undoubtedly a slow-burning drama, so it is not suitable for those who want everything right away, in fact the first episode is extremely introductory and is only preparatory for what will come next and at most it only serves to set up the characters and their relationships, but not to understand their depth; I have read of some who believe that So-min and Hae-in have little chemistry, based only on the first two episodes, but above all always expecting the two protagonists to look at each other with a heart-shaped expression all the time. No, I think, as you will see, that the screenwriter, already author of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, was very good at building, layer after layer, the relationship between the protagonists making it deeper, even a little less obvious and therefore the understanding between the two emerges more and more. It must be said that, at least personally, I love the setting between the two, in which she torments him by mocking him and playing pranks, as if they were still children like when they met. Moreover, Jung So-min is a master in this type of character and she does it very well. In any case, as I was saying, the episode is only a hint of the story, so much so that initially it gave me references to the beautiful Welcome to Samdal-ri, for the fact of having a successful woman who finds herself having to return to her homeland to start over, even if it must be said that this is also the premise of the aforementioned Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and is in fact a rather common trope in dramas; but already from the second episode, as we will see, we understand that we are closer to the recent Doctor Slump. All this to say that it is a product that takes its time and asks the viewer to be patient and enjoy this story calmly and not expect big fuss or hectic pace. That said, as I mentioned, for me the understanding between Jung So-min and Jung Hae-in is there and is well characterized, as well as with her friend (Kim Ji-eun) of which, even if in this case too it is not noticed much in this first episode, her story with Yun Ji-on will prove to be very funny.
I don't think there is much else to say, as already said, this episode is just a very hinted introduction, just the entrance door of what will come after that, at least for me, is giving me satisfaction making me love this story.
    Thanks for the reaction.
Off Topic: I would have liked you to see The Atypical Family, which is one of the best dramas of this year, but I would also say to mark No Gane No Love which marks the return of Shin Min-a, as well as the very funny DNA Lover and the curious Bad Memory Eraser.

I love this story. The chemistry is amazing, and the bond between the characters is very deep.

Yes, the first episode of the drama is a slow burn but there's still something that entices me to watch. However, let's see as the series progresses. Thanks for your comment, and I'll check out The Atypical Family and the other recommendations! :))

@@lykscamerareviews It's a drama that grows slowly, but episode after episode, it captures you and you can't do without it.
