There's nothing like seeing The Who live in their prime days! I can't imagine how hard it must be touring night after night. It's a tough life when you have thousands of fans who adore you and than go to a lonely hotel room....and have to do it again the next night. Everytime I have seen them, they were amazing and I lost my voice and would take me 2 days to recover just from dancing and singing along! My favorite band of all time!

@@sirandrelefaedelinoge. Hard drugs will do that. I think he had just gotten cleaned up from heroin before that tour.

I was lucky to see the original line up at an outdoor show at Charlton Football Stadium in 1974/5 ? it was Alex Harvey Band, The Outlaws & ??.
I also witnessed the ‘new ‘ Who ‘ with Kenny Jones in the drum stool at Rainbow Theatre but don’t think there was any support band

Glad they had a change of heart. Saw them in 1976 when they broke the DB record for loudest show up to that point and 40 years later in 2016 when they were a different, but still great live act. Amazing Band Overall.

IT is a strange paradox having arguably one of the greatest live acts in rock history that is lead by someone who litteraly always hated touring. That is tough to pull out.

@Golf4u Backnine It truly was! I saw them on their Philadelphia stop on this tour and till this day it’s my all time favorite concert! - The WHO 🎸 - By the way the JFK Stadium show in Philly had 100,000 plus in attendance.”

Not even their best with Kenney imo, so a long way from the Keith years, but that shows the quality of the band I suppose!

Thanks for sharing this, and for leaving the Schlitz ads in it!
It was also nice to catch on video how much Roger and Pete actually care for each other.
Would it have killed them to mention Kenney or Rabbit?

I remember the 1983 release of the Farewell tour live album Who's Last recorded in Montreal Canada in December 1982 . I was greatly disappointed by the half assed, poor sound quality. Sounded like a pair of cheap microphones placed hundreds of feet away recorded on a cheap cassette player. I would say it was the worst sounding concert album from a major band. a far cry from their iconic Live At Leeds. I believe Who's Last went out of print a just few years after its release.

They were crap without Moony , Pete was on smack too , pale imitation , they should’ve split after quadrophenia then there would be no footage of them as old men

Absolute bollocks, they've made plenty of good music since Quadrophenia.
