I gorilla taped my Gorgon body. I used at least 2 layers of tape running both length and cross ways on the body. It made it noticeable heavier but also much stiffer. It hasn't broken yet and i bought one of the second batches released. It is a great little truck. I have the 100 amp 3900kv spectrum combo. 2s is fast and 3s is perfectly insane.
That body looks way better than the stock one! Good idea! A common trick is to make the rear holes oval so that as the body compresses it will slip a little instead of buckling. Same reason leaf springs aren't fixed at both ends, the shackle helps allow for the spring to extend lengthways as the suspension compresses
Hands down one of the toughest RC on the planet 🌎. I just love the Gorgon I let everyone that is interested in driving it Drive it ! All the neighborhood kids love it to ! I had reinforced the Body earlier on. It’s holding up ok .. it’s my favorite one too
It’s reason the big dog in the industry worked so hard to put them under . They’d never allow something this capable without getting you back in hobby shop

Drywall tape and e6000 will fix the split and on certain areas it will help it from splitting but without a cage support underneath it's going to have a lot of stress on direct body shots. Looks awesome Joe 👊👊👍👍

In France we have a manufacturer of unbreakable bodies who can reproduce any model in different colors. It's called "elsass body RC". It has Gorgon bodies, and they are truly unbreakable! On the other hand, I don't know if he can deliver for export.

There is a Gorgon cult out there. In the skate park I go to there is hardly anyone that goes to it because it's kinda far from the main road. I was the only one with an RC there for a long time. Not long after a bunch of kids started showing up with Gorgons. They said their parents bout it for them because it was cheap at the hobby shop. So now the Gorgons are like flies trying to hit me coming from all directions, lol.

Intentionally trying to destroy a body/body mounts is like the 1 time I was asked to destroy a pos, trashed eflite valiant for a buddy. (That bird had issues from new, factory new. WE still believe that plane was fully demonically possesed!). Took me a few attempts (cause I do everything I can to save anyone's plane, anything/everything I can to NOT crash!), but finally full speed dive into the grass.
Hit so hard the spinner was 18" in the ground.
(It was cool!🤪)

I bought this truck used it 3 times stock , I was going to modify it but for now It’s a shelf queen . It’s hard to keep a fleet maintained if you’re a driver more than a builder but rcs like this pay for themselves and to people not into Rc the features make no difference. How many times regular folk are intrigued ask two famous questions, how fast does it go , how much does it cost . Other than not being 4wd this thing really makes a good monster truck , these companies figured out to oversized the metal drivetrains , in a quality plastic Rc . Same with those Wov racing Rcs . Now the trade offs scale vs durability, more durable the less realistic to full scale but Gorgon checks a lot of boxes , Exo is on point saying this is best release of the year , if you just look at fun factor and versatility while being bulletproof,
MaxD is what I first thought too. Atleast the basic shape.

@@old-rcplane-phart did that with my Xmaxx body. At a $100 bucks a pop you need to make them last as long as possible.
I've done that to Xmaxx bodies, but that back end still rips at least on those

Seriously, it really drives better offroad than some 4x4 trucks out there! It's just isn't available anywhere over here in the Netherlands and hasn't been from the release. Only the blue one has been on stock very briefly. I want that ready to assemble version so bad 😂😂😂

I considered that but the button heads won't spread the material as bad so I put a shoulder on the bottom of the Body posts to keep it off them.

I was so impressed with the Gorgon that I swapped it all out to Traxxas electronics, got 53 mph, stripped it, then gave it away. Kinda over the budget stuff.
My parents would put fake prices on my toys comment reminding me 😂😂 I hear you I have 5th scales and I buy budget rigs myself , i gave my neighbors sx24 because they’re only 4 and 7 years old. I was always repairing it , Gordon probably be better

Mounts on site look much different than ones in video. Which one does customer get? Mount in video looks good; personally don't like mount in store.

$15 for one body mount???? ever for 2 thats a complete ripoff. i can buy a kraton 6s wing mount (pretty substantial piece) made of the same shit for less.
There's 100s if not 1000s of guys selling the kraton and sledge mounts when they first where designed they where more just like these!
