Grime taking the hit for Sasha will always be one of my favorite character moments of the series. It proved how far he had come and it was a total father-like moment.
Thankfully it wasn't that deep, so it didn't hit her spine. Still, I imagine that burn must've stung for a while. That said, it's worth noting that she and rest of the girls got patched up after the fight (we can see it when they talk to the Boonchuys, a decent amount of time has already passed).

There are plenty of good reason for that no happening. First of all, it would've broke continuity, because Sasha already had all of her powers drained (unlike Anne, who stopped it prematurely). Second, if Sasha DID somehow tap into her powers, there wouldn't even be a fight, lol. She could tear Darcy apart in 2 seconds and then proceed to destroy the rest of the castle on her own. Remember, Darcy is NOT Andrias. One punch of would've killed them.

And I think it holds more emotion. Seeing the sweat on her face and showing her pain and determination after literally being sliced open, really hits hard
The Core’s minds are SO smart, and we know that from their many feats. They were able to harness the power of the stones (created by a god) and use that to conquer WORLDS, and then were able to use the research and resources from those worlds to rise over death and be able to actually create the Core. With wit like that, you’d think they’d consider wireless technology?? I think it’d have been a cooler idea and a more sensible one to have made Sasha forcibly remove the core’s possessions from marcy’s mind by using her calamity powers. It would probably require some things to have changed (or been added in previous episodes), but seeing how many people find the original idea underwhelming, I think it’d be worth it.
A bit off topic, but I feel like Darcy, as cool of a villain as she was, was really underutilized. She deserved more screen time because she was such a cool villain.
I really like how Sasha wasn't just pidgeonholed into just being "the bad friend" and actually changed for the better. She could've easily just filled the generic bully archetype, and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Yeah and I love there were hints of her being more to her than the “Bad Friend” before turning Point. I firmly believed her redemption was in the works after Barrel’s Warhammer, and Turning Point was just the peak. Even in the first time we saw her when she was in the Dungeon, when Grime says “Now we know that there’s more of You, now we know that you’ve been lying.” Shows that even though she had no idea where her girls are, she never coughed up anything about them to Grime first time we met him. I actually have thought of an alternate ending to the battle between Sasha, Grime and Darcy. 1.) The beginning is the same, no changes. 2.) Grime still pushes Sasha out of the way, but a little too late, having both of them severely injured, Sasha in critical condition. 3.) The battle with Anne and Andrias finishes, and Anne goes and slices Darcy's cord, saving Marcy. 4.) Anne runs over to Sasha, but she's already dead, due to too much blood loss.

It’s kind of weird they decided to opt for lazer weapons. It might be flashy and dramatic, but when you slice, it immediately cauterizes the wound, which stops all bleeding, which in turn, doesn’t kill them. Cool but ineffective.

Ever seen the DS9 episode where the 6 officers of deep space nine get their shuttle destroyed and they have to be stored in the system taking up most of the stations storage space, that's just their bodies however. As their minds are stored in the holodeck, taking up a big enough amount of space that they can't be transferred via a broadband signal effectively.
A terabyte is too much to send via an Internet connection it would not be effective to do so, even with futuristic tech it would be very impractical to attempt. And sending a mind would need a constant stable data stream, which the Internet cannot accomplish. Sending multiple would require a ridiculous amount of data, just to ensure that the minds do not get lost or destroyed via merger. Which is likely why they need to optimise their system after the transfer

Sasha and grime's father/daughter bond was one of the best things of the show, his desperate expression at the simple thought of losing Sasha
