    Great fly worm. Patons Bohemian Yarn I think is being discontinued, so I’m using a substitute. One problem I’m having is that when the worm gets saturated, it’s like trying to throw a brick. Is there a water repellent spray you would recommend to keep the worm as light as possible?

      Try Angelus Silicone Water Repellant

      Some guys scotchguard the tail to get it to float and give more action. Could do the whole thing.

      I was having the same problem with the weight of the fly. Scotchgard seemed to help some but I don't even use weight on the hook. I had some pretty funny moments in the beginning trying to cast the fly. It was like a rock on the end of your line! That fly was uncontrollable!

      It is difficult to find Paton's Bohemian Chenille these days; you can, if you are lucky find it occasionally on Ebay. Some alternatives are Bernat Blanket Stripes or James C. Brett Flutterby Chunky

      Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
      I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me!

    Question: my tail tends to unspin forming a loop. How do you suggest I remedy that?

    • @seand2680
      @seand2680 4 года назад

      Hey Larry, which part of the tail? Is it the part that you wrap part way down the tail, then back up and around the hook shank?
      The end couple inches of tail should just be a single strand of chenille.

      @@seand2680 Hi Sean. Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is the portion wrapped part way down the tail and only up to the hook. It ends up looking like a 'D' where the straight part is parallel to the single strand tail. The part between the hook shank and the hook eye stays wound just fine.
