very informative video, to what extent can global warming affect the fishery in the tail water?

I have to relate a story to you folks... As an avid flyfisher, I have read excerpts from THE book... The Compleat Angler... I have seen the documentary, The Complete Angler, as well as own the book by James Prosek...which the documentary is based on...per se... A gift from a friend who also brought myself paperwork from a visitor center in England...so...I am kind of a fan...as soooo many others... However....the one prime piece was missing...the book by the man himself... Until one day... As my wife and I were walking along a city street, in Trail, British Columbia, Canada...there on a public bench...was the golden egg itself... A complete and unabridged, Woodsworth Classics, copy of "The Compleat Angler"...from 1996... The only damage being a slight bend to the front cover... THAT was a sweet piece to add to my fisherman's library.. That's my story... Thanks for putting the time and effort you folks do in putting these videos together for us.... In the past few days I have caught 5 rainbow, lost 4 and caught 2 bass...and I am going out tonight to see what the Mighty Columbia river will give up tonight... Sport Fishing on the Fly does a nice video about the Columbia river.....definitely worth the watch...Tell Don I said hi... He, Brian Chan, and April Vokey are responsible for my recovery and walking again after a massive back injury that left me unable to walk up and down stairs for a year and a half... But....that's another story... Tight lines friends...

I went looking for brook trout today in my area but inly found rainbows, the search will continue 😊

I want to buy any quantity of Spanish Dry Flies

I live in Cornwall and the St Lawrence is the only real place that I have found for fly fishing. My son showed me a river spot on the Nation. They have closed the trout quarry here. I will check Goggle maps thank you.

I have a copy of Lefty Kreh's book, Fly Casting with Lefty Kreh. Had it since the 1970's. No need for any other book. What I learned from the book was to use the weight of the line to load your rod, start your back cast with your rod low, pick up the rod, on the back cast aim for 1 o'clock, wait for the line to pull against the rod before making your cast.

Yeah just intuitively it doesn’t seem very intelligent to dump treated effluent near the top of a headwaters, especially one as relatively pristine as the upper credit…. The Erin plant will dump directly into a spot that’s loaded with springs and this new “spring”/effluent will compromise that ecosystem, I don’t think it takes a scientist to figure that out, but research is always positive and needed. But big developers always seem to win these days…

That was some nice footage…. That area is certainly under assault . Firstly, they destroyed the old stunning heritage bridge in the Belfountain conservation area, and all the pools and trees that held lots of brook trout. And now the plant dumping treated sewage into the upper west credit water table, oh lord are we failing these days!

I have had great success special ordering two piece bamboo fly rods from ZhusRods in China. The key for me is to specify the features and quality you want. For example, getting a split cane rod with no water spots or other blemishes, no glue lines, no open edges, no epoxy on the finish (only the best oil base spar), finest silk windings, polish fit NS ferrules, perfectly straight rod sections, liveliest action in the bamboo, down locking reel seat, wood spacer to match the bamboo color, etc. The fishers who criticize these rods are those who have never tried one or have not specified the desired features for Zhus to build. His special order rods are wonderful! I've fly fished for over 50 years and recognize quality fly rods and reels. Ron U.

Depressing, but you can’t do much with conservatives in power. Anglers and environmentalists can’t beat the wealth of farmers and developers.
