This has to be joke! Anyone with a basic knowledge of physics is aware that the energy output of any system cannot exceed the energy input without the addition of energy from an outside source. The hydrogen/oxygen bond is one of the strongest science is currently aware of. You can’t split that bond and then renew it while converting some of that energy into kinetic energy to propel a vehicle down the road and not introduce energy from outside, it quite simply isn’t possible. I think maybe Elon’s association with other well known purveyors of inaccuracies has had a negative effect on his logic.
And as it's only around 30% efficient compared to electric motors, which are more than 93% efficient, have millions of charging stations, and have less explosive risks, I assume that is why Toyota has been talking about this for a decade but sold less than any real car manufacturer.
Any development that removes our reliance upon oil is good.
Interesting, but it doesn't really describe how the engine is to be used. You need to show what the driver needs to do, what he has to fill up, etc.
