I wish more parents had the mindset that it's okay for kids to stay home after they graduate high school and find their way. Parenting does not end when they turn 18!

Coming from someone who has a Ph.D, you are SO wise to encourage your children to pursue paths aside from college. I have seen far too many people cripple themselves with debt going to college to “find themselves”. It’s so much wiser to choose to go IF your career path warrants it. Good luck, Julianne! Blessings to you!

Love this video!!! We homeschooled and did the exact same thing. Our daughter who is 20 still lives at home and works for her dad's business and has open her own crochet business. She is now engaged. You do not need a degree to become successful. My husband didn't go to college but worked years learning under other people and decided he could do this himself. I am into herbs and the medicinal uses. I would love to see how she is learning about this. I would definitely sub if she started her own channel.

Hi Julia Brown, that is my name too!! I married into the name and I know it's somewhat common, but I have yet to meet another Julia Brown (though there have been a few "downtown Julie Brown"s 😂)
And I also agree very much that college is not near as valuable now as it once was, and sadly the cost is making it an unwise choice for many. For my homeschooled children I will encourage trade school or entrepreneurship ahead of college.

I graduated public school at age 16 as valedictorian and there was so much pressure to go to college that I just chose a major and went. I ended up dropping out after a week. I then worked a while and then got an associate's degree, worked some more and again felt pressure to go to college. I once again dropped out after a week, I didn't want to go into crippling debt for a degree I didn't want but felt pressure to pursue. I now have a job I enjoy with great benefits and have no debt. Many parents mean the best by pushing their kids to go to college as they were raised to think college is the only way to be successful, but that just isn't true anymore. Awesome job raising your kids to make their own choices and helping them find their passions!

Praise God! Love to hear of other families who don't believe college to be the all in all!!!! I too, graduated from college, and believed at one time that it was the only way to be successful, but over time have heard the Holy Spirit guiding us in a different way.
The true path to success is not what degree you have or how much money you make, it is learning how to be led and not driven. Learning how to wait on the Lord and allowing Him to guide your life. When we allow Him, He carves a beautiful path that we couldn't have imagined on our own! Trust Him with your life, and the lives of your children today!!! 🥰

What an incredible young woman! You must be so proud. Giving children freedom to choose is key to strong adults. My daughter was always allowed to make her own choices if she felt confident making them. As early as 4. People thought i was crazy. I would rebuttal: I have raised my daughter to think for herself, with loving guidance & I trust her decisions. “
Without bragging about her specific amazing accomplishments, let’s just say at age 30, life long success in all areas of her life is obvious.

What wonderful parents you are to give your kids the time to decide, but better yet, encourage them throughout their young life in what they are interested in. I'm not at all surprised that she is pursuing this adventure. I've been under the care of a naturpoath/herbalist for years. The doc handed me steriods, told me I'd be on them forever and congratulated me on the future of gaining 10 lbs per year after I went through an autoimmune incident(I've had allergies all my life). My patient and wonderful naturopath waited till I was ready for her help and coached me through the detox and then we got to work on the allergies. My biggest solution was energy based help and wow, I'm healthier now at 56 than I ever was a young person. i wish you a bright future, Julianne!

That sounds like a great path, Julianne. I would, if possible, rather use an herbal/natural remedy than go to a doctor. I have the book, The Lost Book Of Herbal Remedies, by Nicole Apelian, Ph.D & Claude Davis. One of my current passions is learning what wild plants and mushrooms are edible. Keep up the good work! 😁

Even more than that, I would rather get a supernatural healing from the Lord.

Beautiful place. Oh my gosh Annie, you swelled up. Sounds like a good plan Julianne...I would suggest checking out Doc Jones of Homegrown Herbalist. He used and uses herbs almost extensively in his 30+ years of Veterinary practice and applies his knowledge to humans. Wild rose college is also another great resource Good luck in whatever you decide to do! Good job Annie and Josh! Those ice cream cones and the blizzard looked good! NEVER to old for a swing!. On a somewhat funny note, at about 1540, I was intently listening when a "forest creature" caught my eye - then I thought it was Sasquatch! Turns out to be just someone out for a stroll. Good video!

I would just like to caution you as you begin self led study of herbalism the fine line between biblical herbs and the herbs of paganism. Use your discernment as you proceed. There is a lot of information out there. I wish you all the best.
