Absolutely 💯. I've been saying for 20+ yrs that Prime Penny before injuries was a match up Nightmare more at the shooting guard spot. PENNY running the point guard was sorta like a grace period for defenders and he still ate well while running the offense.

Penny at this time had no more athleticism about 6 knee and ankle surgeries was basically playing off of basketball IQ and still no one could stop him let that sink in.

That was his point, he was playing team ball. And his teams lost to better teams. Basketball is not track and field. Same way, AI went to the finals when his team came together, and himself began to trust the others more.
He was hater especially after his injuries he was bitter I don't blame him tho I had my own health issues that kept me from the game on a pick up game level and I was bitter I couldn't imagine how that would feel in the pros

He acknowledged it as a fault to a degree, that he was passing more often than needed. But AI and Penny had mutual respect, Iverson considered Penny a problem and namedropped him among the elite guards, even after the injury.
