Some people don’t realize that these 2 came into the NBA the same year AI won rookie of the year and Steph was really a legend before NBA plus AI and Steph had history from college days…
@@BigMeech314What made him legendary before high school? Genuinely asking. I read he was featured in a book “The Last Shot” from his freshman year so he had to have been well known but it’s tough finding information from that long ago.
Marbury is so chill when he got the ball and walk. Yet he attacks non-stop even 4 guy under the basket and intercept hard on AI, even knee him. They hit fists after that. Mutual respect.
So many people just don't realize how nice Steph Marbury was on the court. Smh. Look at his numbers the way most look at LeBron numbers and you understand.
Love AI all day but Stephon Marbury was cold blooded, handle was prestine and could get to the cup easy true point guard. Add Rod Strickland Kenny Anderson and GP to the list
Casuals just don’t understand how good marbury was. He should be in hof. He’s better than dame . Dame wouldn’t survive back then. Marbury was always a good shooter from deep but the game wasn’t built from out there t that time and he still got anywhere he wanted on the court.

Craziest thing to me is Iverson never even really practiced or anything he just had so much heart and talent imagine if he had like a Kobe mindset watch out I mean he was better than Kobe for first like 5 years when they were in the league together and then Kobe came into his prime when Allen Iverson was just starting to come out of his you got to think Allen Iverson was only 6 ft so as he got older I mean Kobe was like 4years younger than Allen Iverson so when he got older that speed and everything started diminished little by little, it's a shame but Allen Iverson was definitely the most exciting player to watch was definitely something to see I'm glad I could watch it when I was young. Definitely will always be one of my favorite players ever.
Sucks Starbury could never be a true leader. Every team he left got better without him. Nets Picked up Jason Kidd and went to back to back finals appearances. He left Phoenix and Nash took them to back to back WCF
Both Marbury and Iverson would absolutely cook in the league today. Especially with the lax carry and travel calls. My God they would eat
Plus you can't touch anybody, back then you got beat up going to the hole.
Facts
It's really about how the spacing is nowadays. The paint wouldn't be packed like it was back then. Layup city.
💯
Marbury was a dawg. Unstoppable in his prime.
Anytime Steph and AI matched up it was primetime. Marbury’s freethrows looked so damn clean and pure. Insane skill set. Great upload!
On God ..
Always loved the way he shot his foul shots. One of my favorite pg's too
He missed 3 this game.
This is the nba i love as a kid, steve Francis, Iverson, stephon mayburry, PG was beast bacc then
I wish kg n marbury never split up....that duo is a huge what if

@@mattyb_740Way better than Dame . Had a better all around game and was a better leader .
@@airpegasus5167who Marbury ??
Marbury’s greatest career accomplishment was captaining the amazing East comeback in the 2001 all star game
AI won MVP but Marbury was so clutch down the stretch.
I miss these days
We were so lucky!🤩👊🏿
Back when the NBA was still the NBA.
Would have liked to have seen them in a team ...unstoppable.
NBA Live days
No problem saying prime marbury is as good as AI
Would never sniff a MVP or finals hardly playoffs stop the disrespect
Of course

Nice clip. Marbury was a beast but AI was at a higher level!
Naaah actually Marbury did mostly everything better except Iverson played passing lanes better
Marbury was better til he got to the Knicks. Nets/Suns dude was baby MJ.
I disagree Love AI but didn't do everything else better

Drose remind me of Marbury the speed cuffs of the ball on the drive n ai my fav player ever
I was just thinking how they looked similar. Rose was my 2nd fave player ever
Yeah drove is like marbury
I could watch these 2 all day!!! Str8 killers out there!!! It’s easy to dominate at 6’5 and above among giants! Gotta love the small guards
Im gonna tell my kids matt geiger is steve wilkos
Bring back NJ nets and those unis
VC best to ever do it all round skills timing power and smoothness

MY GOD WHAT A GAME
Love that sportsmanship. Van Horn should have given it up at the end
If Marbury would’ve got his hands on that last possession Nets would’ve took it OT. Keith Van Horn was a terrible pick in the draft. 😅
NBA needed another Larry bird
@@AnthonyRobinson-dc3pq I agree unfortunately there will never be another Bird. I would say Dirk, and maybe Luka came close but not quite. 😅

Game so much different.
Good or bad? I think bad.

Iverson the best PG with Carry
Idk how Iverson was dam near the face of the league, but wasn't on the Olympic team to begin with.

Nothing but layups back then. So boring in my opinion
Lanier shouldve been on the NBA 50 greatest list before Bill Walton ass.
Of course Bob Lanier had a hall of fame career Walton had five good years as a pro maybe 6 that's it
