This is an important topic. My better half and I have been a little more than weekend warriors for 4 years. I am approaching retirement from my current job and am looking for remote work. I have a goal of setting out on our full time adventure on March 15. Scary and exciting at the same time. Glad to know that we are not alone and that videos like this prepare others for the journey of a lifetime. I wish y'all safe travels and exciting adventures. Visit Texas and give a shout

Congratulations Adam. It’s typical to be apprehensive but the journey ahead is one that will fulfill the next chapter of your life with new goals and dreams. You are definitely not alone. We are hoping to spend some of late Fall in Texas and will definitely give you a shout! Safe travels to you as well.

I bought a new year old fifth wheel. I purchased in March (end of the quarter).. I offered $50k out the door on a $62k unit.. We settled on $45k.. I bought it two years before retirement knowing the credit union would give me any amount I wanted.. I'm not full time but will go out for a couple weeks. I take care of Dad so I coordinate with my sister to be here when I'm gone.. Thanks AIRV

Are you guys homeless or are you doing this for a few months to travel and see the country and then go back to your house? Seeing older white couples living in vans and such all over the country and this is starting to look a bit sad tbh. Please tell me you have this under control and that this country isn't sliding into poverty for white people?

Hi Coleen. Just to clarify, we are not victims of the economy. We chose to spend our retirement years traveling this beautiful country. We were very comfortable in our home and affordability was not an issue. The reason we put this video together was to show people that if they had their ducks in a row, they could also afford the Full Time RV Living experience. However, we do agree - we have seen plenty of people lose their homes because of the economy and are living in RVs full time because there is no other way for them to make ends meet. During our travels (especially in the most western state in this country) every campground we visited was more than 70% full of permanent and stationery (not traveling for pleasure) full-time residents living in campers. Most people we spoke to had various reasons but one common thread was they could not afford to live in a home. Very sad. Thank you for your comment and we hope this answers your questions.

@@All-in-RVing ...glad to hear that.. I was surprised by the number of women, especially late 20 something white women (and even younger) who are now living in vans and such. At first I thought it cool, but once I dug deeper it was more homelessness with a forced smile. They say that you get what you vote for, that group are getting destroyed from what I see online. Very sad indeed.
