Attack, Ponyta! Attack, attack!! Luke's been conquering Tumblecube Island in new free-to-download Pokemon game Pokemon Quest, on Nintendo Switch. Here's what you need to know before you start. Enjoy!
Outside Xtra question......I think this is very important 👀 is a pokeball called a pokeball even though it's a cube?! Hear that?......that's the sound of thousands of heads being scratched all at the same time
So this game's just Pixelmon Mystery Dungeon?
i really hope that theres herracross or pinsir
AMKN Mirling there's Pinsir
Outside Xtra Dont forget shiny pokemon
You missed one. That your miniature Ponyta is so adorable you can find yourself losing hours staring at its cute little face. So set an alarm every thirty minutes to snap yourself out of the cuteness coma.
Sovash Chetty great advice! Remind me to set 1 when Ellen is on screen.
The recipe system in this is exactly like my uni friends trying figure out cooking . No one really knows what the ingredients are or how to cook them but eventually a bunch of people turn up because food is food (even when it's not).
I love this comment. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Home base *brimming* with *fresh* rare pokemon" *shows vat of suspicious food* 0_0
Is this another one of a Jane's sinister experiments?
For me it’s just
1: attack
2: retreat
3: attack
4: retreat
5: thank you for reading this comment you rock more then a geodude
Mmmmm this is 2019 :/
You don't have to place the statues to activate their effects, same goes for any decoration. Once you have unlocked/bought the item its active. Source: Serebii
If you use a pokemon with the same type as the one you are training you get a bigger benefit
didn't know that. thx
Don't forget to take advantage of the share stones with boost moves! A move that seems to be a waste- why would I give my Growlithe a boost with Flame Rage when I could be using Ember to attack?- suddenly becomes a game changer- I can boost all three, have the other two attack right away, and I only have to skip using Ember once? Sweet!
Hey look! A pikachu Ellen can draw for the next year's Christmas challenge! Take that Andy!
Breath of the wild taught me how to cook
Jakey Lando Yeah, just throw crud in a pot and burn it to a crisp to make a delicious meal
same😂
Jakey Lando same😂😂😂😂
Random forest mushrooms=INVINCIBLE
Same bud
Luke-Lure creatures into your camp with the smell of delicious cooked food.
Jane-Yeah then cook the Pokemons which suck, so that they can lure others with the sweet smell of their own, roasted flesh!
Ayan Haider I recommend roasting a farfetch’d with its plant it’s a real meaty and vegeterian delicacy that will surely attract legendaries and more farfetch’d
Assuming more pokèmon will be attracted to the smell of their own sub species being stew or roasted seems a little Farfetch'd.
Ayan Haider, Who's up for some Magikarp Stew à la Cube.
Tip number first, turn down the volume because the SFX are SO FREAKIN LOUD
Never heard of the number "first" i only heard about 1,2,3,4,5...
Much like in Magikarp Jump, decoration items in inventory still provide the benefit. I bought the 3 pack bundle and got three items that gave me +1 to battery, but there is only room for 2 of them. My battery is still at 8 though even when none are displayed.
Is getting the 3 pack worth it? I'm tempted because I want some cool pokemon (Lapras and Snorlax), but don't think them on their own is worth 30 bucks
Wht Blueberry only buy the pack if you enjoy the game and want to play it longer each day. I sat down and didnt get up till 4 hours later, so it was well forth the $30 for me.
I wouldn't get the pack for the pokemon, they will help you get through the first three areas quicker but will swiftly be outpaced by other pokemon as soon as you get the 2nd pot and begin going for elemental stat boosts (I still have not gotten any wild lapras or snorkax though). The extra daily money though, that goes a long way towards keeping those pots full and getting those strong/rare pokemon more quickly.
Agreed. I bought the bundle not for the Lapras and Snorlax (i'm at world 8, not using them anymore)...
but for the additional cooking pots and maximum energy. Those and the additional PM Tickets given every day make for great permanent upgrades.
(oh yeah, and the statue that gives 2x exp. There's a lot of great permanent buffs from the one-time DLC.)
That said, a couple of my friends also made files and the DLC upgrade applies to theirs as well.
Thanks! I've made it past world 5, so at this point I don't think there is any question about how much I like it! I'll nab it.
It is well worth it
Its dangerous to go alone. Take this! *hands a magikarp*
You joke, but squads of magikarp can mess you up if you aren't careful in this game.
*fear the magikarp gang*
@@CaitlinRC Me who just got a level 21 magikarp from cookin-
Well, at least pokemon used for training are shown to leave camp, rather than being ambiguously turned into candy.
Leo Anbu they are turned into roadkill
You send them over to a so-called "pokemon professor" who processes them into candies, what's ambiguous about that?
Those statues actually do not need to be placed
really?
Yes you get the message a few times that decorations always work
thanks.
well if you don't want the lvl bonuses then you don't have to by force
Yeah, the decorations auto trigger whether put out or in your inventory
I'm already subscribed, but since I was so desperate to see those stacked Pokémon, I pressed subscribe again!
All I want in a Pokemon video from you guys is to see Jane punching pokemon plushies accross the room @.@
Such fun and enjoyment
Thanks Luke for showing the game and giving some tips another small poke gem for in between. Thanks mate 👍
Ha, nice try Luke, my mum has been trying to get me to learn how to cook for years. I’ll just go to the PokeMart and get some PokeReady Meals.
Statues don’t have to be put out. You get their effect just for having them in your inventory.
Number 7 is actually wrong, it does not matter if the statue is out or not, this is because there is limited space at camp, all placing it does is spruce up your camp! Wether down or not the effect will always be in effect!
This was a very informative video! I am glad the berry and recipes were addressed. I would have been so confused lol.
Thanks Luke. Downloaded it yesterday and had no clue what I was doing!
Thanks! This guide helped me out a lot!
Many people are saying the game is 2 hard, keep doing the last hardest expedition to get better stones before moving on.Do not rush to the next level.
improvisor 1 honestly its really not hard at all, ive played alot of games including pokemon fan games (reborn, snakewood, rejuvenation, etc that are known to be legit extreme hard mode) and pokemon games themselves, no where near hard even for mobile standards.
you don't need to place statues to get the benefits :)
you do not have to place the statue to get the buff, it is clearly stated 3 times in the tutoriel
Thanks for the vid! learned alot
Huh I only looked at this yesterday. Glad to get more info. Thanks Oxtra!
Isn't it mentioned in multiple windows that the statue's have a permanent effect, wether they're actually placed on your base or now though?
I'm not sure why, but I can't swap members right now, what button do I press when using it attached to my TV? Thanks.
Quick question. I've got an Android. Do you see where to pre register for Pokemon Quest? I don't see it anywhere in the App Store. But anyways, I'll be able to download it normal on the 27th, right? Or am I going to miss out on something. I don't see it. :(
I wonder if you will be able to links your Nintendo switch account to the mobile game to have the same account data.
0:30 thank you for teaching me a new dish
Hi Luke! Great performance in the RDR quiz!
I got an onix and it’s awesome as a wall. Just keep on using harden with the healing power stone. It never dies.
Your voice is so nice ! Thanks for this ^^
*THANK YOU! AMAZING VIDEO.*
Funny that when I saw Muk, I initially thought it was Raremon. Makes sense considering I've been binge watching Digimon in the last two weeks.
I just started playing it today and I love it ☺
About the statues, the effects still are applied even if they arent placed in your camp
One tip is the evolution of certain Pokémon. If it had to trade or use a stone to evolve, it doesn't happen till lv 36 so using those lower level Pokémon (if it doesn't have good attacks) to help train other Pokémon.
Wait about the last one, the game says that the effects of the decorations (which the statues count as) are active even if they are not placed.
The gem system in this game reminds me of Diablo's gem system. Perhaps there's a cross-over in the works. It would be cool to see Pikachu going toe-to-toe with the Lords of Hell.
Yastaav Padia or a necromancer chandelure. Or a wizard medicham.
Rumor has it diablo in general is going to be joining the games arsenal so we shall see how blizzard does things.
What I did was get an onix with harden and loaded him with defense stones that heal him and some attack and I also gave him a sharing stone to share the effects of harden to my other pokemon.
I think I still want to figure everything out myself.
I'll watch this video after a while of playing though.
The music in the game is lit!
Well, I found a shiny yesterday and I was extremely thrilled about it! But does anyone know, if it's possible to transfer the pokemon from pokemon quest to let's go pikachu/Evoli?
My favorite tips:
Have a Tank, Support and Offense Pokemon. (I use a high HP Machamp with Bulk Up with 3 sharing stones to provide high defense and offense for my other Pokemon as my Tank. A Dragonite with a balanced HP and ATK with Hyper Beam as my Support and a high ATK Aerodactyl with Fly as my Offense.)
Utilize your power stones bonuses and know your Pokemon's bingo bonus. Hit Healing is best for offense Pokemon and Natural and Hit is best for Tanks/Support.
Buy the DLC early in the game if you're considering buying it (It's worth it.)
Have only 1 move Pokemons in your team. It's really good for Auto expeditions and provides more power stone slots for moves. (Especially when using sharing stone on a buff move on your Pokemon)
Be wise when Level Up training and Move Training. Level Up and Move training is boosted on the Pokemon if the fodder is the same type as the Pokemon and at a high level. (It gets difficult to move train your Pokemon if it went through a lot of successful move training.)
Actually, there's no need to place decorations in the camp. Once unlocked, their effect is auto applied to your camp.
Which one of the starter pokemon is the best?
can you restart the game ? I bought the expansion pack late and I wanna restart. please reply .
Worth subbing for the pokemon, but if I like can I get the hosts balancing on top of each other?
Brain food? Is that food made out of brains? Food you put directly on your brain? Food that is so hard to eat you need a degree in mathematics to figure out how to eat it? I'm looking at you hard shell tacos.
Good joke
It appears to be candy.
Fun fact about training;
If you happen to attract a pokemon you already have, you can use one to give a huge EXP boost to the one you want to keep, as well as have a better chance of getting stronger moves
Is Pokémon quest switch only? I have a 3ds
Which starter is the best to choose
Loading screen tips would beg to differ saying that decorations don't have to be placed to take effect
Is there a soup that lets your Pikachu time travel? Or do you just have to level up?
Thia game is so adorable like for play through on the channel
i used to always get stuck on one boss and i couldnt get past no matter what i did, i recently got the game again and now im here
Does anyone know how to restart pokemon quest? I screwed up and need to start over
I heard someone else say you don’t have to have the statues out to get their effects.
Pokemon crossing looks great!
How do I change the language settings?
I've got my squad picked. Luke-a-chu, Ellen-a-chu and Andy-a-chu.
Let's see how Andy judges pikachu art work when he is one of the reference materials.
How do u unequip a pokemon on your team I have a stronger pokemonnivwanna equip
Honestly, what is actually the point of retreating in Pokemon quest? Most boss Pokemon have range that will hit you anyway and most of the time your mons are stupid and retreat into a corner...
Does anyone know when this comes out for mobile?
Thx dude I got abra now 👍🏻
Another good piece of advice to is make sure you have a good mix of moves to use. I personally prefer when a Pokemon has two moves due to the fact it gives you a lot more options. Moves that boost stats or lower them are a great second move. Some say to just have one move, but I say that is wasting a Pokemon's potential.
I dont to think Pokemon quest is no longer available ( or still not released) on smart phones
Tip if you get a pokemon with some shield like move. It's a most have on you'r team.
My friends are saying it's like pokemon rumble is that true?
you dont have to put statues in your base, bonus work fom inventory as well
How do I get stones to evolve my pokemon
How do you delete save data?
I got three statues and I forgot they are decorations, so I had to suffer with low level Pokemon..... But I didn't put them in training cus I love them.
So question... does the actually Pokemon rpg type effectiveness work in this game? Electric and grass over water. Flying and psychic over fighting? I've noticed a paras had poisoned a wild poison type... So I doubt it.
warrain Glory nah, I used dig on pidgeot
No but each area has a bonus type which is pretty much the type that’s most effective against the most of the Pokémon in that area, and if you have Pokémon with those type in your party you get a bonus HP and ATK (I think)
Actually I looked it up since I asked and yes type effectiveness is in almost full effect. The thing is, there are no immunities or abilities. So a ghost move will damage a normal type and vise versa, but not as strong as a regular effective move. Aka resistant but not immune.
How do you evolve Pokémon?
This would have helped me earlier. I learnt these the hard way to get my venusaur
Question: Does our dear yellow rat have it's original cry or is it still the anime one?
Hasan Kavakci The original one. :)
Luke: "Like a gang of schoolkids caught grafitiing the bike sheds".
Hmm, recalling your school days Mr Westaway?
Gonna wait for the android version, I'm guessing this is more of a five minutes at the time, rather than five hours game.
The IOS and Android versions come out in roughly a month. In case you were wondering, you start with 5 energy and energy replenishes once every 30 minutes. Each run is roughly 3 minutes if you don't do any cooking, training, etc. so it's the perfect length for a bathroom break.
If you want to play for longer, the game gives you 50 free currency every day for logging in (and tapping the button in the store) which is enough to refill your energy twice. Of course this daily amount can be increased with in game purchases should you so desire.
The energy bar is kind of limited, you'll get about 20 minutes of gameplay per 2 and 1/2 hour wait.
Undizz it's a tough game, you'll have to redo many levels and that will make it longer
They have it on android now
When will it be on phones?
You forgot another, get an onix with harden, anyone with one knows why, you pretty much can't get killed, and when you get the sharing stone, your set
Well when you use harden, Onix becomes WAY more resilient to any attack, the only things that hurt him end up being much higher in level or super effective, also, rock is very good throughout the game as isn't too damaged in the early game, and is just a way to stay alive, and later in the game, he is super effective and resists the attacks! oh, and with the sharing stones, your other Pokemon get a bit of that bonus, which is still VERY helpful
StrikingGames so a walking tiger 2?? Or for any of you who dont know tanks an moving kevlar wall???
Hmm. I may be mistaken but it was my understanding that you got the bonus even if you didn't have the Statue out.
I subbed for the balancing pokemon
Do you know how to change your age in pokemon quest?
This game looks so precious
SO MUCH POKEMON!!! SO MUCH...*sits in a corner on the floor, rocking back and forth*
Hey is Ponyta strong here? Aaand is Magikarp strong when evolved?
You don't need to equip a statue or other decoration to get the perk
The market states, that the perk counts the second you own an item.
i got a ponyta with flame charge with the share stone with a glass and tank pokemon
Is it possible to get more pots or battery storage without money?
Battery storage, yes. The Mewtwo Arch increases battery capacity by one, and costs 700 Tickets.
The DLC bundle has the others, as far as I know.
Ok Thanks
You dont have to place the statues to get boost btw...
I've been battling this snorlax for like 20 minutes now. wow.
Can not wait any longer :(
Ha! Fooled you! I was already subscribed! Wait a minute.....
