I'm curious about the mv44 form you have to fill out at the DMV after this exam. Do I need to check off "new license" or "update info" ?

Can anyone answer this question. I just renewed my dot med card and passed for the next 2 years, but This new job requires a dot physical all over again but just for Their company. I have put some weight on since the holidays , if I fail the company’s dot physical does that trump my current dot med card I just got as passing ?

Yes, it will trump your existing card.

@@Trucksafe so why even try to get a better job ? I run the risk of losing the job I was at this doesn’t make sense . It’s a PRIVATE. Company asking for it, not the dot , I’m good and legal with dot . Are you certain because if this is true . I run the risk of losing my current job in just applying for a better one . Makes no sense

Some carriers require you to get re-examined as part of their onboarding and others don’t. It’s their prerogative. I’m 100% sure of this analysis…dealt with it hundreds of times.

You’re legal with the DOT only until another DOT medical examiner tells you you’re not. Your most recent exam is the one that counts. It supersedes all your prior ones.

@@Trucksafe alright I will turn it down . I’m good for 2 years , just gonna stay were I’m at , not worth getting put out of service

A lot of it is BS. Especially requiring a CDL for vehicles that aren’t even close to a 18 wheeler. Using a 1 ton you use to not have to wear a seat belt but you know they want complete control over your life. 😂
