Nice reaction! Courtney aka Courtz is currently 19 years old. She has quite a long history for such a young singer. She is now an Independent Artist. The reaction you both seemed to enjoy is her second original song. Her first was, Pretty Little Thing she performed on AGT THE CHAMPIONS in 2019. Her third original is, That Girl Don't Live Here. Next was, Call Me back. Last one is, Monsters which rocks pretty well! 🎸🥁🎹🎤 After her AGT Audition she also performed, Pa Pa's Got a Brand New Bag. Stephen wolf's Born To Be Wild and Tina Turners River Deep Mountain High. Her first album, Cover Sessions/ Simon Cowells Psyco Records/Arista Entertainment contains four Cover Songs which she blows away 4 Original Artists! (Seriously). 2017 she was on, The Voice Kids. At 12 years old she performs some oldies but goodies. Tina Turners, Nutbush City Limits will blow you away. I'm taking time to share this with you for good reason. Let me say I'm an 63 year older rocker, even a U.S. Marine Veteran. Courtney is non like I've ever witnessed in my rock life stating in 1969. She's a humble and sweet young woman with vocal talents as her singing has so many different sounds. She's getting known as, The Queen Of Rock n Roll! I think if you want higher ratings take some time to check out her music and performances before her next new album comes out sometime this year 2024. Also her first big tour She's well on her way in becoming one of the very best! ❤
I’ll tell you the same thing I told another guy… You got some catching up to do!!! You’ve missed a lot since her audition on AGT. She has grown so much. Not just physically but her music is second to none! She’s amazing! You might want to retrace your steps back a few years.
Courtney did her famous ' Hard to Handle' audition on America's Got Talent in June 2018 she was 13 turning 14 in July 2018. Yep, 5 years ago ( as of 2023 ). She also was on The Voice Kids in 2017 and on AGT Champions in 2019. She also did 5 shows for AGT Live in Vegas in November 2018. She has had voice lessons and performed at various local venues In northern England and teen singing contests since age 9.
Great reaction, that is our Courtney she is beautiful inside and out and it’s just amazing that she co wrote this, I listen to it at least once a day. She is from the UK, 18 at the moment but she turns 19 in July, and now an independent artist therefore she depends on us buying or downloading her music for which I’ve done both, I mean come on who wouldn’t want these songs on their playlists 😆 yes please do react to her other single it is a completely different vibe and just as amazing 😁😁
Courtney is from the UK and lives close to Newcastle Northeast she will be 19yrs old in July 2023 she was signed with Sonay but left she is now independent with no record label I believe the video was shot in Spain, I am from the UK but now live in Malta.
I am almost 70 bat i am number of Courtney hudwin fans when I see in Got talent very i empress hi Courtney I your number one fans in the pilipinas god bless
I'm so happy. I have been watching this young child progeny and quite a few more for years. Many have grown into fabulous musicians. Oh, just watch what they do next. The web gives these future stars a platform not seen before. And shows like yours help spread the word. Worldwide fantastic talent is out there. Keep it up. As always thank you.🤠
Courtney turns 19 in July. She was in AGT 2018 and was 13 in the first episode. This song "Breakable" and "That Girl Don't Live Here" she wrote together with Kevin Bowe. The songs are a bit about life after AGT with both betrayal and lies. The record companies wanted to change her. Something Courtney didn't want. She didn't want to look or sound like everyone else. She wants to be herself, dress the way she wants to make the music she wants and not do what other people want. One thing Courtney has done since Voice Kid UK and AGT is to be true to herself and she still is. Courtney is now an independent artist doing what she wants to do. Her falsetto as you mention it is just top notch, one of the more beautiful I've heard. The video or rather both videos that are made are recorded in Malaga Spain
Hi. You guys are great together. Loved your reaction. Courtney is an amazing talent. Simply brilliant. In answer to your questions, Courtney is from the northeast part of Britain and the music video was filmed on the coast of Spain. It sounds like you know a little about Courtney, but not a lot, so a little background might help. Courtney rose to world wide fame when she appeared on the 2018 season of America's Got Talent. Her audition went viral and now has over 500M on-line views. Courtney herself has over two billion views. On AGT, she sang exclusively classic rock from the 60's and 70's (James Brown, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin) and showed how she can totally dominate a stage. However, those that know her only from AGT, assume that she is only this fabulous rocker, but she actually has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices we've seen in forever and it's the reason that so many of us who follower her think she is truly a generational level talent. She sings R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads as well as Rock and the thing is, no matter the genre, there never is any drop off in the incredible quality of her vocals or her music. Every singer has a comfort zone, but we haven't seen the limits of Courtney's as of yet. She even had an opera clip go viral. Immediately after AGT, she was signed by Syco/Arista records (Sony Music). A lot of things happened to prevent her releasing her original music including the label being sold and, of course, all of the lock downs and travel bans related to Covid, but basically for the last four plus years, the labels have tried to twist Courtney into something she didn't want to be. Courtney stood her ground and said 'No'. Finally when she was able to, she walked away from her label at the beginning of this year and went independent. Now that Courtney has control over her music, in the last couple of months, Courtney has achieved what the labels couldn't in years, and released two original songs. This beautiful ballad that you just reacted to and an uptempo masterpiece that you said you were going to react to next. Breakable' is an amazing debut original single by Courtney. This is both her first original release as well as her first release as an independent artist and she just hit a home run. Her vocals just soar in this incredible song, the lyrics are an emotional gut punch and the fabulous video just reinforces all of the emotion contained in this song visually. Everyone has been burnt by someone or something in their lifetime, so this song will be relatable to so many people on a personal level. No one can touch your soul when she sings like Courtney and it feels like she is having a one on one conversation with your heart in this song. Courtney has a huge library of originals that she has written over the last few years, which she hasn't been able to release. She has shared many of those originals, in whole or in part, with her fans, mostly over live chats on social media and everything she has shared has been sensational. She is a true powerhouse as a song writer. Now that she is setting the agenda, it has been said to expect a new release approximately every month. So buckle your seat belt, it's going to be a wild ride. I think you're going to be very busy and I can't wait to hear you doing many more future reactions to Courtney's own material.
On AGT she was 13 in 2018, she is almost 19 now. This is an amazing song, with such a strong message. Ever since I heard it, I've had it stuck in my head, it is such an emotional masterpiece. A beautifully shot video too, with so much symbolism. She was with the Syco record label, but I believe that it was sold to Sony UK in early 2019. They were wanting to change up Courtney from being how she is, into just another generic Pop Princess. Because of this, they did not release any of her original songs she wrote during the COVID pandemic, so she let her contract run its course. Either late last year or early this year she became independent, and she co-wrote this song, and the next one called 'That Girl Don't Live Here' as a response to the struggles she had, trying to get her music released, and how she is now. As I said, she wrote it about her struggles, but the message is so universal, that anyone can take from it to apply to whatever they are struggling with, that is very clever writing. If you want to see a more playful side of her, you should check out her other official video for That Girl Don't Live Here, here is the link, ruclips.net/video/RyILP4DPPTo/видео.html&pp=ygUZdGhhdCBnaXJsIGRvbid0IGxpdmUgaGVyZQ%3D%3D.
This was not on Route 66 as one of the sign seems to think. They actually filmed this in Spain. The water was the Atlantic and the mountains were probably the Pyrenees. The nest one is filmed in the same general location. I think she feels isolated and stuck in the water. All of the imagery ties up pretty neat. Thank you for your reaction!! She is from England.
Nice. Courtney is from northern England. She was on The Voice Kids UK prior to America’s Got Talent. “Now put that thing back where it came from or so help me.”
I think Courtney is one of the greatest singers in America right now. She is independent and was slowed down by her record label. I hope when you start listening to her, you will begin to agree.
Awesome reaction! Cute couple🙂 Believe it or not, the video was shot on the coast of Spain. When Courtney teased a few clips before releasing the video I thought it must be in the American west too. I was hoping you did originals also when I saw the Courtney/Harry Styles Sign of the Times reaction on the "covers" channel (I agreed, Harry Styles original was great but Courtney's is even greater). Really looking forward to your take on That Girl Don't Live Here. See you there! Thank you for this!
Oh I forgot to say, her AGT audition was 2018 and yes, she totally WOWed them. She made the finals but like a lot of people (including Simon Cowell) I couldn't believe she didn't win.
I’ve started this video a few times. Back home from shoulder replacement this morning, have some/lots of time. Don’t recall this request but so much of what cortney does is so good can’t go wrong. This was a most enjoyable song and video. Happy to have sat here and watched this video. Sent request for another Danny Vera Folsom prison, blues with Waylon. It’s a version I itknow will be loved. Seen 2 videos but the one with Waylon is live and something else. You guys dragged me into the the Danny Vera rabbit hole. Thank you for doing this one. It was great. Hope you are both doing good 🙏🙏🙏. Probably rambling here.
This was different and thoroughly enjoyable as far as reactions go. Seeing that you appreciate Courtney's talent didn't hurt either. Courtney is a dynamo who can sing most any genre. (probably can sing any genre if she wants to). She's very creative in re-creating covers to another genre, usually rock. Her stage presence is about as good as you'll ever see. The next video "Girl don't live here" will show some of that when you react to it. Very catchy tune and upbeat. As far as her singing goes, your partner is correct that she sings with her chest voice quite a bit, but she also, like any good singer, switches it up. Falsetto is created by using different parts of your vocal cords along with a wider spread of those muscles(really ligaments) to create more air flow and a airy and higher pitch sound. Many associate falsetto with the head voice. While the same muscles of the vocal cords are used falsetto uses that wider separation with more air flow while the head voice closes those muscles with less air flow for a stronger presence in the sound. Chest voice uses the inner parts of the vocal cord muscles and it produces that strong louder vocal presence that Courtney has. That's a very basic explanation. It's way more involved if you want to dive into it. Since you have missed most of Courtney's progression for the past 4 years, I'll suggest you go to her channel and either watch of better yet react to her videos there. ruclips.net/channel/UC7teONMQPF1_g3YCv-lEtfQ You'll get to see her stage presence watching her "Cover Session" mini EP album she released in 2019 which she recorded at the studio to show she wasn't just a all out rocker. And then her other videos she uploaded are so much fun and also show how far she's come, until today. One more thing is the lyrics to both this song and "That Girl don't live here" are very smartly written about her last 4 or 5 years within the music industry. She doesn't point blank say anything bad about them, but the meaning is there if you follow her. She gives enough hints and comments about some of what she endured with them trying to change her. Why the hell would you ever want to change her is beyond me. When someone goes mega viral overnight and get such a huge world wide following, get's invited to perform at Woodstock's 50th anniversary concert (which unfortunately got canceled) and has music professionals raving about her at 13 and 14 years of age, you don't try to change them. Bad move on their part. That guy of guys should be fired for even thinking about it..
Well, all I can tell you guys is that Courtney Hadwin is an English singer-songwriter, who lives with her parents and younger siblings in a small village called Hesleden (in County Durham) in North East England. She'll turn 19 years old on July 6. Hope that helps. I'm not really into her type of music, but I respect her talent. You were asking about falsetto and head voice, well, falsetto is a thinner sound and is strictly in the head. It only uses the thin, leading edges of the vocal folds to vibrate. Head voice is actually a mix of chest and head voice (it should be anyway), which is generally a stronger sound than falsetto. Since the physiology of falsetto is so different, you can't really "mix" it with a head voice. But you can do exercises and practice with falsetto in order to strengthen it. Doing so can help to strengthen your whole vocal process, and it also can add a little more power to your falsetto. While falsetto and head voice have been used to mean the same thing, falsetto is understood to be a breathy version of high notes and head voice produces a richer and more balanced tone on the high pitches in a singer’s voice. Falsetto and head voice are two different modes for singing the same notes in the upper registers of the voice. Now that you've learned all this, let us hear you use some falsetto on one of your future reactions! 😉
@@SueSueandthewolfman You're quite welcome! Actually, in many areas I'm mostly self-taught, and this goes for music and singing, as well, albeit merely theoretically as I have never learned to play an instrument or sing. Wolfman and SueSue, even in this video (and a great song) there was a Dutch connection, lol. Hard to avoid the country of clogs, tulips and windmills. In the beginning you see the name Amstel, and that is the brand name of a lager beer from the Netherlands named after the river that gave the city Amsterdam its name. By the way, the Dutch singer Glennis Grace was in America's got Talent in 2018. Some years earlier, in 2013 in the third season of Beste Zangers, she blew everyone away with her version of the song Afscheid (meaning Departure). Even if you cannot understand Dutch, I think her performance will be impressive. ruclips.net/video/DdW817w0Sws/видео.html
