1953 Ford Crestline Victoria - Concept to Production

Carry on the Ford tradition of a new brightly coloured box with the same engine,gearbox and a billion other parts off the shelf from cars designed fifty years ago.A little tweak here and there and that'll do.

Imagine how much of an asshole Jim must have felt like for not waiting one more year so he could have the new overhead valve V8, and not that ancient flathead dog.

Imagine how happy Jim must of felt when he realized that if he waited till the next year, he would have had an overhead valve Y-block that became famous for clogging up the high-coke oil used back then, in the chamber leading from the block to the heads, burning up the pushrods and ruining the engine. Good thing Jim stuck with the flatty.
