- 근래 봤던 영상 중에 정말 가장 마음 속에 깊이 자리할 것 같은 영상인 것 같습니다..! 아이유님과 태형이의 연기가 정말 좋았고, 합도 좋아서 보면서 정말 단편영화를 보는 듯한 느낌이었어요.
사랑으로 시작해서 사랑으로 끝나는 것 같다는 이든이의 말처럼 정말 '사랑'에 관한 곡과 뮤비가 아니었나 싶습니다!

I think it's the most memorable video I've seen recently. I really liked IU and Taehyung's acting, and their teamwork was good, so I felt like I was watching a short movie.

상자가 세상이 요구하는 정상적인 것이라면 그 밖에 있는 것들은 비정상적이고 사회에 맞지 않다고 생각하기 때문에 핍박과 질타를 하고, 상자 밖의 사람들은 세상의 편견과 차별을 사랑으로 맞서는 것을 제대로 보여준것이 아닌가 생각합니다. 볼때마다 눈물이 납니다.
맞아요 그래서 핸디캡(장애)를 가진 아이유와 뷔를 쫓는듯합니다
전 아무정보없이 봤는데 끝에 눈물이 나드라구요..대문자T인간을 울려버린 두사람..ㅜㅜ
정말 저도 숨죽이며 감상했었어요ㅠㅠ지은언니 노래도 너무 좋고 지은언니와 태형이 비주얼 연기력 스토리까지 너무 완벽했어요 스토리도 뭔가 고난과 역경 속에서도 사랑이 있으면 두렵지 않은 느낌? 이 들었달까요 군대가기전 이렇게 좋은 작품 남겨주고가서 너무 고맙네요ㅠㅠ리액션 감사합니다❤

제가 이 뮤비와 관련하여 운 횟수는 리액션영상 본 횟수와 같습니다. 매번 다른 사람들과 같은 뮤비를 보면서 서로 모르지만 같이 우는 느낌으로 계속 울어지더라고요. 노래와 뮤비가 정말 슬프고 아름다워요. 말씀대로 뷔의 연기도 참... 상상이상으로 잘했네요.

Al principio no entendí lo que pasaba pero igual lloré un montón con el mv, la actuación de Iu y V fue tan buena que sentí su desesperación, amor y dolor.

I have watched many reactions to this MV, Men and Women reactors and I felt so much emotions. I have to say, watching your reaction, I so much more. I love the fact that Korean men are not afraid of showing their emotions. I am a person who loves, happy endings, of course this did not have a “happy.“ Ending having said that I used voice and the lyrics were absolutely beautiful Taehyung, of course handsome as ever, and both of their acting abilities were spot on.

Но и выбор пары может быть порицаем, конечно. А как же. И за это общественное мнение может преследовать людей, всем же до всех есть дело, особенно, если речь о людях публичных. Но конкретно в этой истории речь о людях именно с физическими недостатками, а не просто несчастных влюбленных. Иначе для чего бы было делать их инвалидами? Очень неприятное слово, конечно. Это и есть основной посыл. И любовь их, как мы видим, не спасла. Увы. И это тоже важный момент, понимать, что чаще всего не могут с этим давлением справиться те, кто под него попал. Общество очень жестоко к тем, кто отличается от основной его массы. Именно на их такой печальный уход и делается акцент. Очень тяжёлая история, которая так красиво и эстетично подана, что многие за этой красотой не могут уловить сути. А суть жуткая.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think IU said she wrote it for her fans. I think it is a sweet commentary of their parasocial relationship. My interpretation is IU is IU and V is Uaena (her fans). The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. However, whether separated by language (she cannot hear/speak) or distance (he cannot see), they communicate about sweet memories (about macroons and taking pictures) and laugh much like inside jokes between IU and her fans or photos at fanmeetings. They both have scars of criticism or scandals over the years. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She sheilds V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. I think she understands the way it is but is happy to set out on the journey with her fans anyway. I think of her lyric "Will you courageously set with me? Destroy me slowly and chilly, ruiner"; OR this is just about her and her boyfriend, and her asking for some privacy, not sure haha.😭😭😭😭

The Cube represents society, it is chasing every individual who doesn't fit the standards of society. Here V is half blind, IU is deaf and mute. So they are running from the oppression of society. The world is controlled by these standards of perfection to the point that people in South Korea put masks on when they don't have make-up or when they feel insecure or they wear hats when their hair is messy. The MV is a dystopian view of our society. While they are trying to hide in this abandoned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of comfort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and pushes them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. Even if they died at the end, they loved each other deeply, it shows that even if society is oppressive, people can love each other and they can find their soulmate even if they are not "normal or perfect" to the eyes of some many others. The pile of clothes is like these people died because of injustice, but they deserved love, so the pile of clothes can look very gloomy and sad, but if you don't forget them you can see them happy and free where they are now.
