+Jef B (808fishkeeper) Oh really Jef, haha thanks man. Just chilling with a beer thought to make another edit not done one in a while. although a new video.... its still oldish footage. so look out for the newer stuff coming soon my bro
John Carlson Hi there. I understand with the music it's not everyone's taste, I play alot of guitar and listen to alot of metal so I guess that's the reason for why I use it in my videos, but I agree something more subtle may suite better. I am a very busy guy and not had the time to update much but I shall try make more effort this year and as you ask..... some explanation of methods I use and information to help others in the hobby, aswell as answer questions
Thank you - you have some excellent monster fish I would like more information about & I really want to get information about your filtration system. You have some quick shots of your system that pique my curiosity. REPLY
Absolutely stunning Ash. Some explanation and ease up on the hard music would be nice. I can appreciate the nice collection here. Love the tigers, my favorite. Thanks
hey man, i just wanna say i just came across your channel, and in a few words, you remind me alot of myself with the music and i catch the username pun and musican, but this is the gnarliest shit ive ever seen, im only on cichlids now but you have put me on a whole new level of want in the fish game, hope to see more man
Hi brother. I’ve been watching your videos and want to learn more about keeping the tigerfish from you, i just ordered a 7.5ft tank to do something similar to you, can you advise me on the height of your tank?
We will appreciate if you mention the name of the other tankmates. This is because the others, not only the tigers, are awesome. Healthy and well cared fishes!!

Love your fish awesome species, cleaness of tanks and quality of the videos. Your music choice sucks. I still subscribed and turn of the sound when watching. Think you will get much more subscribers if you change the music
+Willem Schipper hey man Thankyou for your honest opinion. The music is purely for my own benifit as i play guitar and love metal so I use the music on my fish videos as it represents me. but i do understand its not everyones choice lol
Okay so firstly your videos are amazing. I am surprised that you are able to keep tigerfish. If you could be as kind as to explain if they live long and how you keep them alive. Becuase I live near the Okavango and everyone I have ever met said it was impossible to doomesticate the rivers fish as they need the stream and that exact water. So where did yu get them cuz this seems impossible at place where I live. Even the guy at the fish pet store believes it is impossible. I saw some in an Aquarium once in Vctoria falls. Your videos are ggreat i am just investegatating as I would like to domesticate them...
Hi, thankyou for your interest in my efforts. Tigerfish are a grey area in fish keeping.... everyone has an opinion on them which is usually negative but yet hardly any that give the opinions have ever kept them. They are hard to raise from juvenile stage more than anything, this is because they struggle to feed on dead food and are prey rather than predatory therefore are extremely skittish and spooked especially by human interaction, the way to do it is to have them in a sufficient sized aquarium and if intended to be kept in a group in the future then the group needs to be started early stages together as juveniles. Being kept with harmless other fish like tin foil barbs that have similarities in appearance and movement helps keep them feeling secure but mainly helps train them to feed dead food as tin foils feed constantly. Once trained to feed and become a sufficient size they then need to be moved to a much larger aquarium, but I strongly believe if you don't have a large number of them then you need many other fish with them in a case of 'over stocking' the aquarium as this prevents the establishment of territories and prevents issues of aggression for dominance. Those are the basics.... but beyond that a lot of time effort and dedication needs to go into them, they aren't a simple and easy fish to keep that's for sure. I live in the UK and the only way to aquire these fish is to have them imported as juvenile between 2-4inch in size. hope this answers your question
Excellent tank setup and great selection of fish.
no words can really sum up.
speechless...
