Revlon and Almay are sister brands. Before Revlon changed the ColorStay formula, it and the TLC foundation were total dupes. The Almay butter kiss lipsticks are also dupes for the old Revlon lip butters.
Try the concealer with your fingers. These shade adjusting concealers and foundations need the warmth from your fingers to blend and “shade adjust”. Love the close ups!😍
Thanks :-) Just going to be returning the concealer, I like using my sponge, lol. I know the "Makeup Artist" way to apply concealer is with your finger, patting it in but I just never like the way my concealer looks when I apply it like that. I know for some they really like this technique, maybe I am just doing it wrong :-D Oh, well... Thanks glad you like the close ups!
I haven’t used many Almay products so this video was very helpful and informative. Love the entire look. I’ll have to check out their foundation and blushes. I did try the foil eyeshadow but unfortunately it didn’t look good on my aging eyelids, although the colors were beautiful and the staying power was great. Thanks so much Julie. Happy Saturday 😊

I think you would definitely love the blush and the foundation :-) That sucks that the velvet foil shadows didn't work out :-( I get it though, I know one day I won't be able to wear those types of shades on my lids either so I gotta get my most use out of them while I can ;-) Happy Saturday to you too girlfriend!
Julie Dawn Olsen Thanks sweetie. You have a long way to go and you’ll make it work because you’re a master at doing eyes! The Wet n Wild cream eyeshadows in Putty in My Hands & Sand Castles worked nicely and looked good, so thank you for recommending those! 😘

This is a really pretty monochromatic look. Perfect for Spring! I’ve seen the Almay cream shadows (in the tubes) at CVS. Love the one brand tutorials. I hope you continue with other brands. 💄

Thank you so much! Ever since this look i have been skipping my bronzer and just doing blush, I agree it does look so fresh, great for spring! That's good to know that they do have a bronzer I guess my Walgreens was sold out.
YES!! It really does look so fresh and springy. Your so right!!!! Mine doesn't have it either but Walmart does sometimes -atleast here in Atlanta area.

The concealer might work better if you mix it until it changes to the color then apply it. The warmth is what helps it change colors
So funny you posted this today! I just bought skip the gym at target last night and have cupid glaze in my ulta cart to buy today. Now I know I made good choices! Lol. I love that go wild color too so adding that to my cart. That sucks about your foot, I had tendonitis in my foot arch about 7 yrs ago and I couldn't go to the gym for 2 months! Don't be like me and try going back early, it flared up and I think set me back 2 wks. Have a great wknd Julie!! 💙
Haha, that is awesome! You will love all of those, I really like them. Ugh, yeah, it blows about my achilles tendonitis and that it could take 6 to 8 weeks to fully heal. Sorry, that you went through something similar. I hope that you are fully recovered! Yes, I have definitely been taking it slow about going back to the gym. My Dr. said that I could go back to the gym right away but to just do my upper body workouts and if I did do leg day to just use the machines but honestly I have been scared to go back cause I don't want to mess up the healing time, even though I am so upset that my routine got messed up. But it is a journey not a race and it is better to take things slowly like you said so that I don't risk hurting myself again and it taking even longer to heal.
I am heading into week 3 of it healing and so I think I will go back to the gym to start doing my upper body work outs and just like my Dr. recommended just use the machines for my legs if I decide to do leg day but if I feel anything off i will definitely reevaluate. I hope that you love all your new Almay products and I hope that you have an awesome weekend!
It did fully heal thankfully but I have noticed over the past few years if I wear boots with no arch support or sandals for a lot of walking I'll get a really bad pain in my arch for a day or two. It sucks. On a happy note, just ordered the other almay so I'm excited! We have my niece's 1st bday today so I'm gonna rock skip the gym. Lol I feel like that lip would go well with a coralish look so gonna take inspo from your spring video you just posted. Spring vibe Saturday! 😄

Since your skintone is similar to mine, is there an affordable non chemical sunblock that you would recommend that can be used on both face and body? I know you have dry skin and mine is more combo/oily but I'd still like to hear your recommendation.

Happy Saturday💙 I love this look.. a simple quick spring look.. Today is my last day at this campground.. Tomorrow I believe I'll be heading towards Arizona.. I'm taking the back route to Colorado.. I am planning on vlogging the trip.. I was thinking of incorporating a kind of make up and hairstyle with travel channel..Please give me your thoughts on this.. And any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. I love hair and make up and I have never traveled before.. I feel that this would be so much fun.. I have no idea how to edit..totally need help with this area.. I only have a iPad so it should be interesting.. I bought three bottles of the primer on clearance. Don't get any in your eyes. Mine watered for some time and I had to stop to attend to that. It was impossible to continue with my makeup application through blurry eyes and to apply products to damp eye area and cheek skin. Use a primer specifically for the eye area. A clear brow set product on the cheap is a sports hair gel. Use your liquid liner with a super thin angled brush for above the lashes or for tightlining. Both lipstick shades are very pretty but I prob already have very similar shades in my collection. Makeup companies dupe each other's lines all the time.....Kevin Aucoin helped develop the original nude and matte collection which MAC and others copied.
Try using your fingers with the concealer. The warmth of your finger may help warm it up. I watched another RUclipsr use it and she used her finger. It was not white. She also used light. Worth a try.

That concealer made your under eyes look kind of "greyish". I've tried a few Almay products lately and I just haven't been that impressed.
Yeah, I agree, that shade was very unflattering... I really liked some of the other products though but yeah, that concealer needs to be improved big time! lol
All the Almay shade adjusting pruducts have some 'color beads' in it that you kinda have to 'burst' by rubbing it in and then blend...so maybe do it on your hand and then apply with your sponge?
Almay saddens me...some products are ok but overall they are my least favorite brand. The cream shadows and mascara are quality but like Revlon I find them over priced for a drugstore brand and lackluster in terms of pigment.
I can’t stand Almay smart shade products. They are like Neutrogena’s but worse, with orange beads or remains white like sunscreen. They do have good stick concealer, lip products and some foundations. They just seem to be living in the dinosaur ages still.
