I bought the dark grey one. Using it with a skinny brush as an eyeliner and its great! It stays put and doesn't fade or wander as the day goes on. I'll be buying more.
I wonder if I could tightline with them. Cream shadows don't have the same "slip" as liquid or gel liners , and so transfer poorly from brush to in between the lashes.
You're the best! Thank you for the swatches.
These are so pretty! I would have never spotted these - or if I had, I likely wouldn't have paid attention- thanks so much! These look cool and fun!!
So glad you did this video. I've seen zero on these on the tube lol
I just bought the violet one today and thought I’d look up online tips how to use it. So far this video makes me excited to try it because I live in a hot area and was worried about smudging and sweat.
I love "Out of the Woods."
I like squeeze tube liquid eyeshadow.
i really want to try them!! might be the answer to my oily lids. the little flaking is nothing compared to the disastrous crease collecting i have to deal with until now with powder eyeshadows. thanx for the review!
I like these. I massage the tube a little, put a drop on the back of my hand and use a real techniques I brush to put it on my lid.
I have a couple of them and use a flat concealer brush when first applying. Love them.
I absolutely LOVE your channel! Even drugstore makeup seems pricey to me sometimes and it adds up quick!
I kinda like these!!!! I'm definitely gonna give the plum, dark blue, and brown a try😊✌
Sticking with my stila shimmer and glows, butter london eye gloss and CT eyes tp mesmerize
That blue is so pretty minus the oil.
Have a couple of these. Love them. Don’t crease...
I’ve found that a little goes a long way with these I love using them when I’m in a hurry and also for inner corner highlight
Thank you. BOGO 50% off today so this was extremely helpful.
I wonder what mixing shades would do.
I like how u think
You can use an old multi pan eyeshadow palette case. Break up the shadow then wash the case with antibacterial soap. The empty pans can now be used for mixing shades of any kind of cream, liquid or gel cosmetic. Or, shadow primer mixed with powder shadow.
Fabulous idea.
I was thinking that exact thing! but then I do that with a LOT of stuff! It would be nice to custom blend a color !
Those are awesome I remember using something like this in high school maybe by cover girl? And those ones back that were terrible, you had to play like three or four layers and didn’t last, so yeah these are really cool!… It’s too bad about the peach color that was my favorite color of them all! Also I wish that Almay was cruelty free. 😕
I may get the black and white as eyeshadow bases. The blues also seem pretty unique so might get those as well.
I just got the gold and peachy pink at CVS.
Do you like them?
I work with glass color foil and the tubes need to be massaged every once in a while to prevent oil coming out. Same thing goes with these. Totally normal.
The sky blue one is my favorite
The olive was my favorite
Great swatches. I wonder if these look like the Maybelline color tatoos on the eyes. Some of those make my lids look MORE textured :/
Galactic Girl seems like it would be a good inner corner highlight, it seems kinda streaky, but maybe if its only in a small/tiny area it will be okay *grabs CVS card*
Those are pretty.
I got cupids glaze as it was the only shade that was very attractive to me. It is very pretty sheered out and it dried down well and it didnt crease on my oily sweaty eyelids which is a rare thing. The micro glitter is super annoying to me though. They are kind of difficult to work with and dry pretty fast, when I tried to fix my first eyelid after it had dried too much, going over it with a brush glitter got all over under my eye and cheekbone and I could not brush it away. Even at the end of the day when trying to remove and wash face, glitter was everywhere and impossible to totally get rid even after a shower the next morning. I have other shimmery glittery products that dont do that. I didnt have a problem with it flaking but I didnt pile it on either.
Good to know! Sometimes I use just a sheer dab of liquid shadow on the inner corners to add light or a dab on the centre lid with a brown powder shadow in the crease. I don't usually use them heavily as they tend to show the dryness of my eyes. Just a sheer wash of color!
It flakes if it gets moved? I cannot think of anything that moves more than my eyelid!
I work with different color foils to fill glass engraving. The tubes are similar to these Almay tubes and you need to massage the tubes. I'm not a fan of this packaging.
They look amazing. Shame I can't buy them in Europe .
First comment? Yay!
Sadly i don’t see them in the stores anymore
If they came out with a matte and revamped this line #almay
Neat!
According to Almay, a LITTLE goes a long way. You put on too thickly. They say to put a tiny bit and if you want a deeper color, to let it dry and apply more
The amount is applied for swatching purposes.
These are far less metallic then I was expecting. Blah!
Kinda bummed because the only shade I got so far was the pink one... it looked like a flaky mess. I wonder if they need to be mixed well before application. The dribbly texture on some gave me flashbacks to the time I bought an Almay concealer and it was always leaking oil, yuck.
Comment in feed above you....Lady works with foils like these and said to massage the tube first...hope that helps...I'm still going to get a couple myself...on a cream shadow spree recently
Disappointing. Going to pass
Mmmmm......nah
