I can't help but love this movie. It has the mix of the 90s and early 2000s all in one film, giving it a nice tone that is recognizable. Plus, this was back when Nicolas Cage still had juice in the tank of his career. I miss when films were made like this back in the day, no CGI.
I think a little CGI was used when Eleanor went flying.

A great film, I absolutely loved it. It was pretty much cross genre of crime thriller with great moments of levity and comedy.
Raymond Calitri was a great villain, Christopher Eccleston brilliant as per! Loved the 9th Doctor.
Nicolas Cage and Christopher Eccleston in a showdown is awesome.
remember seeing this in cinema back when it came out...... when Cage gave that deadpan "yeah", the entire theatre bursted out laughing :D:D:D:D
Chris eccleston has been there all my life; I've seen him a dozen times in different movies and I never realized. He just plays these characters so well, he becomes a completely different person each time. Now I look him up because of Doctor Who, and just . . . How did I miss this?

Say what you like about the man but he made a fantastic coffin, just remember that was his first. It’s a considerate gesture, not many lunatic crime bosses would bother making such a beautifully crafted vessel for the remains of those who transgressed their given tasks.

This was a really good movie. Sometimes remakes don’t do justice to the original. This did. There’s nothing they should’ve done differently. I was glad Eleanor didn’t get beat to shreds ike in the original. Very good movie

Yep story of my life. But actually watch the film Raymond calitry and Memphis very similar people. It's just the look in Memphis face. Please don't make me go back to being that person.
This was the movie that introduced me to the brilliance of Christopher Eccleston. A few short years later, I’d be flipping through the cable and stumbling upon a sci-if show on the (then) Sci-Fi Channel where Christopher played a renegade alien who traveled through time and space in a strange blue box. Because I remembered Christopher’s performance in this movie, I stopped to watch. I’ve been a proud Whovian ever since but I’m a Christopher Eccleston and a Doctor Who fan because of this film.

Jamie Matthews what are you talking about mate? England is smaller than Illinois but you all have accents for every region of your country. I know that northern central and southern Illinois accents sound different but i wouldn't expect a Brit to pick up those nuances. You guys are a bit too proud of your regional accents and seem to think that everyone else cares to the level that you do. They don't.
