There is man in heaven smiling down that someone that appreciates his tools now has them. Great work! Pass them down to your boy. I’m glad to see you back.
The plier with the wheel on it is not for rivets it’s to punch holes in leather belts. My grandfather was a leather worker and had one in with his tools, it comes in handy when you gain or lose weight. The big file is a wood rasp used for rough shaping wood. Love your videos!
That Ford key is an old style water meter key. The Pentagon shaped side opens the meter box lid and the slotted Pentagon side opens and closes the Angle valve that feeds the water meter.
16:00 i keep a rasp like that in my tool bag. Helpful for shaping wood to make it fit, particularly if you do restorations on old houses where nothing is quite square. It also can shape up drywall, especially useful if you are making drywall patches for plaster walls.
I realize that now. I have rasps for drywall but none like that. That thing is a beast and I think it will actually come in handy for me. Thanks for the info!
At 8:14 that is a bicycle chain tool (bike chain breaker). Used to push out and push in link pins. Used for breaking chains, adding or removing links, joining chains. If a link is too tight, there is a second position on the tool for loosening the link pin just enough for chain links to pivot freely.
Those drill bits you have are not forstner bits, they are auger bits. Best not to try them with any kind of fast spinning drill. They were originally meant to be used with a brace, a drill like a speed handle socket driver. They self feed very aggressively. If they have a tapered square on the driven end, (tang) they will only work in a chuck designed for them. Those four way files are called a four in hand, that mystery wooden tool I believe is used to hold a hand saw blade, useful for setting and sharpening. I really liked that saw blade in that old utility knife body, I'm going to have to try that. Quite a nice haul. Thanks for sharing. 👍
I think the old timer was happy his tools went of to see use agian like most of us hope to be stewards of.The aggressive rasp was originally used for wood but my grandpa used them on horse hoofs as well. The wood contraption is a secondary handle for a cross cut saw or even a western saw. Many of them had a hole in the end of the blade and people thought it was to hang it but aux handles were options.
That wooden Harris tool is a holder for a cabinet scraper / card scraper. The " rivet tools " are hole punches for leather. The 4 sided Nicholson file is called a 4 in hand, well thats what they call theirs. You get a coarse flat & half round files, then flat & half round rasps. I'm not sure but there may have been 4 in 1 metal files made by different msnufacturers. That huge file is a half round wood rasp. That little " rivet tool " is a bicycle chain breaker. I have one of those adjustable drill bits from my grandfather, but the adjusttable cutter is not rhe the right one and doesn't fit. Btw you should look at those forstner bits again, you'll notice that those are bits for an old brace drill. I don't have any, but suspect that they probably won't fit into a drill press.
I knew you guys would know what all that stuff is. That big rasp is awesome. Thanks for the info! And yes you are correct. Those auger bits don’t fit in a standard drill press
That's made in England sears brand hole punch is a leather working tool. Works great for adding new holes in your leather belt. Makes good perfect circles.
Wtf I’ve been watching your videos for ages and I wasn’t subscribed? I blame the algorithm for being stupid. Glad you’re making videos again, they help me with my tool addiction
Those are not files they are called rasp they are for wood. The device that you thought was a rivet tool is a hole punch for leather or other type material.

I sure hope so. Thanks for keeping up with the channel!

I was about to say that till I read your comment. We used to make our own wallets and belts as a kid and we always used a punch like that
I’m going to use that to put some holes in a couple belts for sure! Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the channel
So cool to have you back!
I’m so happy to be doing it again!
That “rivet tool” is for bike chains! Very useful
Yep, chain breaker.
I knew you guys would know. Thanks!

Thanks! That makes sense. That just might come in handy in the coming years.
The ford key is a water meter wrench. Ford meter company.
I should have realized that. Duh!

Id enjoy a comparison of that corded impact driver vs a semi modern cordless or at least a demo of the corded.
Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of doing that for sure. I believe I can make that happen for you!
That case knife was hilarious. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Yep and I am going to use it for just that! Thanks for the info
@realworldtoolreviews no problem! I've got one I had for years from my grandpa and it's handy for sure.
You’d use that aggressive file on Bondo, for body work on vehicles.
Makes sense
Nice haul lots of usable tools there.
Yes sir. Thanks for watching!

Chain breaker is the made in Sweden
I thought the mothership might've came down and abducted you, probed you alien style.
😂 maybe they did.
That’s a mighty fine haul! Whatcha gonna do with that 5gal bucket?😁
Clearly a three gallon bucket...... Never leave a bucket behind.
@
I stand corrected. Time for new glasses.
I can always find a use for a bucket. Maybe take it to an estate sale and fill it with more tools!
That is a compass and not a protractor.
Right you are. Thanks 👊
