If only people had this empathy towards children. Then maybe some kids would be adopted and shown as much love as this dog who is only gonna live for a max of 15 years, when a child could live for over 90 years. Seems legit let's just do the dog thing it is less of a commitment.

This is truly my favorite video on RUclips. A little girl that loves your dog so much aint and people can't understand why. It's just the love that she has for the dog. Children do not judge. I wish people would give pitbulls a chance. They are the most loving and loyal dogs. I was so reluctant to take in a pit because of all the stories. But my Safari stole my heart. She became my shadow and slept by me every night. I had 15 wonderful years with her. Her relationship with my kids was just as special. They taught her to smile and say I love you. When I got sick she never left my side. I'm glad I gave her a chance and I hope more folks will do the same. Oh and she never bit 1 person or animal or even showed aggression. She was always happy and wanted loving.
It's not the animal's fault people are idiots who breed them for fighting or get bought by dumb hoodlums who treat them bad or leave tied in the backyard all day most off the time It's people's fault dogs become vicious like that

Yup! There's always someone who ruins a wonderful moment of instinctive love by spouting ridiculous mythical rubbish. The girl and the dog are lucky that their hearts have no time for such tripe. Their instantaneous and profound love for each other was a great moment to behold. Let it be. (I am in my 70's, with a reputation for being a bit tough. This video has left me feeling a bit less tough but a lot stronger.)
The unadulterated innocents of a child and a dogs soul shows here!! They both knew the purity of the other..Outta the mouths of babes!!! Unconditional love from both !!❤️❤️❤️
G has astounding animal intuition--it'd be notable for anybody, but it's uncanny in a 2-year-old. Just watching her interaction with Scarlett, she reads the dog and adjusts her own behavior to make Scarlett more comfortable, over and over. Most young kids can't control themselves to behave like that, assuming they even notice their effect on animals. She's a prodigy. I hope she never loses that amazing intuition, and the kindness that goes with it.
Your daughter has the biggest heart. I love how she knew what she wanted. I love the fact you listened to her. Your daughter has a best friend for life.

@Fionabuster D. I'm an atheist, but neither I, nor any atheists I have known would take issue with this. IF there is a god, then he would defintiely be smiling down on this wonderful child. It's JUST a sweet thought, and differences of belief need not be brought into this.
@Fionabuster D. So I say not to bring religion into things that don't need it, and you give me a sermon? Ma'm I'm 73 years old and have been an active atheist for 58 of those years. Your assumption that I just haven't been "open" is insulting. YOU are confirming the stereotype of Christians as being constitutionally unable to resist preaching. You're no better than the guy who was nasty about the mention of god. There are many, many, many videos on RUclips concerning both sides of belief in god, and THAT is the appropriate place for sermons or rebuttals. You're not being nice or kind, you're being insulting by making assumptions - that I haven't properly considered ALL of the evidence (If you want to have a conversation, fine, but I bet that you won't like it), and that I appreciate being preached to for no reason other than it makes YOU feel good. Just stop.
@Fionabuster D. Really? You take it upon yourself to preach to me, and when I call you out on that, you claim that "I" need help? Lady, I didn't start this. I tried to make a nice comment about not being negative. YOU were the one who just HAD to turn that into a sermon - after I already said I was an atheist. I'm not the one who you should be praying for to be enlightened.
I've watched this story about 20 times now, and it's one of my favorites because everyone winds up happy! Your little girl has a special sense because at a very young age she saved a helpless being who really needed her. It’s heartwarming. You’re a good mom to have listened to her, you helped save a life❗️

If only people had this empathy towards children. Then maybe some kids would be adopted and shown as much love as this dog who is only gonna live for a max of 15 years, when a child could live for over 90 years. Seems legit let's just do the dog thing it is less of a commitment.

My boyfriend didn't go to a shelter but had the same experience with a cat he got. They went to a person's house with a litter for a totally different cat, and ended up leaving with Athena. G has astounding animal intuition--it'd be notable for anybody, but it's uncanny in a 2-year-old. Just stop.
