  • This is our first big backpacking trip, this hike was about 40km and was done in 3 days. It is a very difficult trial but has amazing scenery and I would recommend this hike to anyone looking for a great adventure. The fall colours and the calm foggy morning take your breath away. We also upgraded some of our gear to ultra-lightweight, which made a huge difference. We tested a few different high-energy snacks that may help you on your next big trip. Enjoy the video :).

Nice Video. It seemed like a lot of kilometers on new gear the first day. I must say that the rehydrated stew looked really good.
Not that it's a bad thing, but the problem with camping is that, depending on the type of camping we do, we need a whole new gear setup.
We appreciate you sharing the trip ✌.

This was our first time doing such a long hike, we normally do canoe trips from 3 to 7 days. We did do a fall canoe trip at Lake Louisa just after this hike, which I believe you done last year (watched your video, good work) and we used the same light weight gear and it made a big difference, especially on the 3km portage. Maybe one day we will cross paths at the Park. Thank you for watching.

@@paquetteadventures4120 For sure, light gear would have made a difference. I'm glad you liked our video and got something out of it. It would be wonderful to cross paths at the park some day. Cheers!!

wow great trip! I'm looking forward to doing it this fall. I can't wait to see how light you can get those packs, BTW did you pack out your used coffee grounds?

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, my favorite time to do backcountry trips is in the fall. As for the coffee grounds I would normally burn them in the fire, however, after you ask the question I did some reaserch and found out that is not the best way, going foward we will packing out our coffee grounds and on my next video I will be mentioning the importance of not leaving them behind. Thank you for your comment, I will share with others.
