Any argument is pointless if it’s not for the people of Myanmar to be able to live as best they can. No one should care about which country is which. It’s simple. If someone is trying to suppress freedom, theyre enemies of Myanmar’s people.
Myanmar has been facing internal disputes for decades. One of the remaining, critical questions is that if the junta government for example hands over its power to the Myanmar people, will internal conflicts/disputes still exist? For decades, even during the elected democratic party was in power/administration, there were also many internal issues such as the problem of Rohingya, ethnic and other social groups trying to separate from the central government for their own independence, so on and so forth. In short, Myanmar does not only have problems with the junta, but also internal political and territorial disputes that have lasted for years. The local people need to focus more on addressing their own problems, rather than blaming others and/or external parties. All people's unity is the basic need. As a neighbour, may i bless Myanmar with peace, unity, security and prosperity, and i do hope things in Myanmar get better soon 🙏
They could form a centralised government that can oversee common issues and the various ethnic states within that coalition being given more autonomy. A decentralised republic perhaps. The alternate of breaking into even smaller provincial independent states with some having no sea borders will not only make their existence and progress strenuous but it will set them on a path for future conflicts.
In my opinion they should break up into independent ethnic states under one country. Give each ethnic group a region and say I’m government. Seems the best way. What do you think?
@@erroneous6947that's how we got the Yugoslav wars, the Ethiopian war, the post Soviet wars etc... It invites division upon ethnic lines, and has led to ethnic genocide. These border regions have been in conflict with the central government almost since the creation of modern Myanmar, except for when aung san suu kyi was in power... They'd be better off independent and Myanmar's neighbours will be better off as well.
People like to think the more the better, but trying to force many different nations into a single country is pointless when you can only do it through military subjugation, in the end there will be only conflict. And a lot of the former yugoslavian states are better off as their own country anyway
What the associate professor Enze Han doesn't understand is that while the opposition doesn't have the hardware to "roll into" the capital like a foreign invading force like in the WW2 with tanks, the nature of asymmetric warfare will still result in the overthrow of the junta, and the capital will still fall, although not in the conventional sense of rolling tanks and armored vehicles. Our most recent assymetric example would be in Afghanistan, where a better equipped and trained Afghan army easily surrendered to the lightly equipped but highly motivated Taliban (not a comparison, just an example of asymmetry).
@@weirdshit that is what he misunderstood also. The northern brotherhood alliance is not interested in capturing the capital, so they won't. They will hold the North. It is the southern forces and the PDF who will capture the capital.

From the looks of it, the rebels' priority right now is to sever the Tatmadaw's logistics coming from any external country bordering Myanmar so as to impede the junta. That, coupled with corruption in the Junta, could be the perfect recipe for its collapse.
I hope certain ethnic groups would find closure to decades-long under-representation in Myanmar. Perhaps independence or secession is the only way forward instead of being under military rule over and over again.

Either Myanmar rids itself of military rule and minimize their power or secede into different countries.
I think a decentralized Myanmar is what will be the best option. Letting each respective minorities have more autonomy and influence over their own region would make it easier to avoid a civil war. A semi copy of how the US is currently running their own country, just don't spend as much on the military. And most importantly a strong educational system so Myanmar wont have future generations romanticize the dictatorship, similiar to how Germany, Japan and Italy have done.
Myanmar needs stability, give the military a chance to build a better future. Apart from that, if the military lose, all rebel factions will immediately fight each other.
I recently read a little bit from an article by the council of Foreign Relations about how if Myanmar experiences a state collapse, the U.S should be prepared to help out. Really though, if Myanmar experiences state collapse, wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity for the United Nations to gain a little bit of legitimacy again? After Covid, Ukraine V. Why does military keep interferring in governing their country? Do they know that military should only protect the country sovereignty and do not interfer in any internal government affairs?
The military junta currently running the country out of Naypyidaw has no jurisdiction. The UN does not recognise this regime. The State Administration Council has no legitimacy, and it has no legal authority over the citizens of Myanmar. _Chairman_ Min Aung Hlaing is *NOT* the Prime Minister of Myanmar. That title belongs to Mr. Mahn Win Khaing Than, leader of the National Unity Government. The NUG is the true, legitimate government of Myanmar, fighting against the SAC terrorist insurgents. The “Rebels” you are referring to are the “People’s Defence Force”, the legitimate military of the Myanmar State. Your journalistic rigour leaves much to be desired. Stop spreading propaganda, and start spreading the truth!
☝️ The comment above is a perfect example of the effect of propaganda. Don’t fall for the lies. The SAC has no legal right to power in Myanmar. The SAC is a terrorist state illegally occupying Myanmar. The NUG is - by national and international law - the *rightful* government of Myanmar.

The beginning is when the rebels wins. The country will probably break into pieces with its own independant ethnic countries. They all speak different languages and has its own unique culture. Everybody in the country must speak burmese or english if they all want to unite under one banner.
These so-called analysts are so out of touch with the reality on the ground. Even Bamar people want the military eliminated and they have also been fighting the junta for more than 2 years now.
Myanmar's military had experience about that kinds of battles since beginning of independent. No need to worry about that and i''m also from Myanmar. Now this is major concern in our country but these rebels groups were always seek their own intrests and they take arms not because to protect civilian but to trade drugs since before military take control government power. They had support advance technology like drones make difficult for military .That's all. They were also killed many troops too.
This report isn’t accurate. It says the fighting is happening in the “poorest” part of Myanmar. Kokang is actually the 2nd richest part of Myanmar, just behind neighboring Wa State, which is already autonomous. It’s a Chinese-majority area and was self governed from 1989 to 2009. This is not the Myanmar government collapsing, it’s a well funded, PRC-backed militia re establishing an autonomous government in 1 corner of the country while the military is weak.
Those militiamen have come a long way since the first weeks of the coup. I remember when they are literally civilians with guns, whatever guns they can get. Then I remember when they seek refuge with other minority freedom fighters, now they are this powerful, that they are leading to the destruxtion if Myanmar's Junta.
Please note. Min Aung Hlaing is not a country"s president. He is a criminal and military leader of a coup in 2021. The NUG is the legitimate government of Myanmar and the president is U Win Myint, and the vice-president is Duwa Lashi Lais. The European Parliament has recognized the NUG as the legitimate government of Myanmar.in September 2021, the NUG established representative offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Norway, France, Czech Republic, Australia, and South Korea.
I wonder how the US is going to play though. This is clearly backed by China . Myanmar military never has a complete control over those areas and i wondered what made China pushed the button to approve the act of 1027 . Myanmar military never liked Chins but Myanmar has never choices. Now Russia is favoring Myanmar in these past months. I have no doubt that this will absolutely do nothing. Now AA can't support the whole Rakhine and so do for other ethic armed groups. Both of the soldiers from ethic armed groups are the usual Framers or wagers( not for AA I guess. I think you should be aware that, the military under the ASSK government was in itself a rogue entity, it doesn't answer to civilians, it also held control of crucial departments in the government even though they weren't voted on to those offices(immigration, defense, etc...). What's sad is that the Rohinja are not the only ones being discriminated against, but also numerous other ethnicities who also happen to be christian, of course it doesn't fit your agenda(of the western media's). You should also look up on the massacre of 99 Hindu women under the Rohinja militants and the Rohingya's kidnapping and beheadeding of Buddhist monks, which you could say these are some of the factors that sparked the genocide which unfortunately targeted people nothing to do with those attacks.

Seems like a wink of fate how their flag contains the current flag of Vietnam, itself the child of its Revolutionary forefathers, the Vietcong and Vietminh.
A Federal Parliamentary Government System must establish in Myanmar after the Junta's downfall The ethnic groups want something in return, an autonomous rule in their region So a Federal Government is the best answer to that
Myanmar was forcefully "made "into a country by the British, however, with the nullification of the treaty that formed the Federation of Burma in the 1948 (by the Central Government themselves), the legitimacy of Myanmar no longer existed, and all provinces automatically revert back to their original state of self-government and sovereignty. Any military attack on these independent provinces therefore is an act of aggression.
Kachins and Karens fought well under US Command (notably OSS Detachment 101) against the Japanese and Burmese forces during WW2. I'm surprised the US isn't trying harder to rekindle that relationship as a means to spread their influence, but I guess most people don't know that part of history.
Military still never learnt any lessons. Just to used power and soldiers to crush the people with different ethnic background will not help at all. They should learn from their neighbours like Thailand which have multi ethnic societies and yet they can co-exist with each other. Modernized Thailand. But Myanmar is really backwards and that's the prob. Military might will not help in long term.
agree, military junta should seek peace with the different rebel groups or atleast with majority of them and provide support for elections to reinstate a public government. the longer they wait, more complex the problem becomes since rebels are getting armed and corruption is will become widespread during conflict
Vietnam also has 54 ethnic groups coexisting, and the government is making every effort to ensure social security and support for minority ethnic groups. At the Vietnamese point of view, I see that the Myanmar military government enjoys many privileges and economic benefits. That is a reason why Aung San Suu Kyi cannot control the situation, unable to use the military force to maintain security, and difficult to unify Myanmar when there are too many regional warlords.
@@kzamno1 I agreed about the multi ethnic groups in Vietnam. But as for Burma or Myanmar, they have long history in fighting among themselves and the junta military that suppressed and oppressed its own people. That's why there is wars everyway now in that country.
Correction, please. This is not an insurgency. It is a an armed revolution called by the people as Spring Revolution The junta has been around since the 1960's. In recent years, the country enjoyed a brief semidemocracy due to political reforms. The military again grabbed power after losing to Aung San Suu Kyi's democratic party by a landslide. The junta wants dominance of the resource-rich country. The junta in fact controls much of the economy from beverage, real estate, transportation, communication, gems and minerals, banking, trade, and oil and gas. The people and their duly elected officials have had enough of the greed and brutality of the junta. Thus, this revolution.
When I hear this name, Myanmar, I remember all the massacres, torment, and injustice that our Rohingya Muslim brothers endured, and how their bodies were set on fire, reviving any human being who could do this to an innocent person. 😔
