And welcome back to another video from myself on Mortal Kombat! But one that’s definitely more opinionated opposed to that of my normal lore video, but seeing as Omniman was released just last week.
I though that today It would be the perfect opportunity to sit down and talkl, about my own personal thoughts and feelings regarding the Kombat Pack, Its contents and what I think Omniman kinda sets forth regarding DLC characters of this game.

Quan Chi and Ermac should have been base roster.
Agreed. Shang Tsung as well. I paid for it like a sucker though knowing it was messed up.
Yeah especially Quan Chi with how much more he's in the story than say Reiko, who is incredibly bland and uninteresting.
Given how rushed a lot of this game feels, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were planned for based roster. They both have roles in the story and clearly a lot of effort went into those appearances. Quan in particular is the secondary antagonist, there’s no good reason he’s DLC besides time restraint
@@Calhasnopals I don't know if I'd call this game rushed feeling; especially since it had longer to bake than the last few MK games, I think we just got so used to MK11 with its years of content updates that this one feels like it has less. I think it was more that people really wanted Reiko and they wanted the roster to be a lot more about the characters than the story itself. It just feels weird when you play the story and towers; and I do think that Reiko making the base roster happened a lot further on than some of the other characters.
But I feel we can say this about every character each game again. Like some game design choices need to be made right?
The only character I’m really excited for is Takeda.
This might be a hot take, but I would actually like to see homelander as more of a grappler. Like a grab that slams you multiple times, one where he scoops you up, flies up a bit and lasers you at close range, maybe even a Raiden like tackle
I do hope Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda's gameplay is a combination of all 3 of their variations from MKX.
I would like it way more if we got a certain guest character with a chin, shotgun, chainsaw, and blue shirt.

The characters of this Kombat Pack look great, except Ermac. Seriously, Ermac should keep his face masked at all times.
I love the Addition of Omni-Man, I can’t see Peacemaker is the Closest we will get to Stryker and is a Arsenal Character with Guns, Trick Helmets, and Blade and Tomahawk, I’m hoping Anthony Starr will plays Homelander that the Reason he said “Nope” was do to Damage Control and that he hasn’t done his Lines Yet but I can see the Milk Loving Mass Maniac is a Mix of Injustice Superman and Zod with his Fatalities being the Plane and Laser Face Melt as those are his most Iconic Kills, I Love how MK1 portrayed Quan Chi, he’s my Second Favorite MK Villain First being Shinnok, I can see him as relying on Necromancy, Bone Manipulation, and Sorcery to Differentiate Shang’s Mad Science, while I have Issues with Ermac’s Design it quickly grew on Me and while Yes I would rather see Him and Quan Chi in the Main Roster it’s not a Bad Idea when they are Fan Favorites for Tans, Takeda Takahashi makes A lot of Sense and I love his Bandanna, Mask, and Futuristic Suit, I’m worry that because of this Character that there’s a Chance that my least Favorite Character in the Franchise Kung Jin might show ou as the Roster lacks Archers and to balance it out since Cassie and Jacqui were in the Last Game, also I noticed that each Legacy Character of this Pack Each represents the Original Trilogy, 3D Era, and NRS Era.
About Ermac's design in Mortal Kombat 1. I don't think they gave him a Garbage Design on purpose to piss fans off. They might've just wanted to do something different (which is understandable) But! to strip away his identity like this is unacceptable. Ik that it takes time & hard work to fully design a character, But let's be honest here! Did they really have to turn Ermac into a Identity Crisis!? I mean, It sure wasn't hard to give him his Mummy Design like he always had. But this is just my take on it.
There is a scene in MK1 story mode where you see king Jerrod in a portrait of him and sindel and he looked pretty good...idk why netherrealm didn't just consider making him an actual playable character in this new reboot at least
In all honesty it doesn’t matter that Omni-Man and Homelander are in the same KP. They’re in the same game period so one can argue that they are redundant in away. Hopefully they play different enough for folks to look past it in the end.
People believe that adding two Superman's specifically Omni - Man & Homelander will play the same. Clearly! that's not even the case. We can see that Omni - Man is a brawler judging his gameplay style. For Homelander, He will most likely fight like Darkseid from Injustice 2. Which means Homelander might be using his Eye Lasers most of the time.
@@BronyLord-wo1ym True, especially since the only projectile he has is his thunder clap. I have a feeling that Homelander will heavily rely on his eye beams.

Peace maker has also used hatchets and a machete-like weapon in the suicide squad movie.
What I find hilarious is the cycle of MK fan reactions won't end. They hate guest characters (save for their fave) and go on tirades explaining why guest character bad (Look at Injustice 2 and how youtubers treated the Raiden reveal...like you'd think Raiden kicked a puppy) and then when the character ends up playing well and is generally well received, there's a ton of backtracking and people act like they were always hyped.
Happened with Omni man too. Until people saw that he wasn't a copy and past of Injustice Superman, there were many people who kept repeating the "who asked for this" ad nauseum.
It shoulf be a MKvsInjustice game with fatalities would be dope.
Considering Ermac ladder story about taking back control probably gonna get more Ermac in the interactions.

I am actually very underwhelmed by kombat pack one myself, and i am aware that I am probably in the minority here. Never been a fan of guest characters and I believe having 3 in a 6 kombat pack is too many. Not a fan of Takida either, again I am sure i'am in the minority here. So out of 6 characters only Quan Chi and Ermac hold my interest. I can't believe I am saying this but I am looking forwards more to the Kameos than the main characters. They just seem more interesting.

I didn't realise the similarities between Omniman and Homelander! And also, I can't wait to see Cage and Cena's interactions!
Out of these characters, I find Takeda to be the odd inclusion, but I like him so I’ll take it. I can’t wait to see the added kameo characters.

I really Hope Takeda is either a Stance character from Lasher to Saber and also Shirai Ryu Movesets or just a basic character with every part of the variations to be in the moveset. Yes it may be hard to master a character like him but if he can get simple combos done right it will be perfect. Takeda is one of my fav MK characters and it would be amazing to see him in his full potential

Lore wise, I still think Hanzo will become Scorpion, but will be in the Takeda roll first... Quai Liang (or how ever you spell it, the current scorpion, former 2nd Subzero) will get killed, become Noob Saibot, Bi Han will start the cyber ninjas, blah blah blah... Also, Onaga. I just hope they don't make another series in the mean time.
Wrong. They should have omniman and homelander released in the same dlc pack then have ermac and quan chi released in the same pack and then finally have peacemaker and takeda released at the same time. Having 2 characters released at the same time in a fighting game is perfect and having them similar abilities but different fight styles would work out perfect.

I'll give Peace Maker a chance but I stand by what I said about Homelander and Omni Man they don't belong here. Omni Man is over powered, and Homelander is just why. The rest of the Pack is fine
I will forever stand by Shang Tsung, being a mid pre-order bonus character. I mean Kintaro was RIGHT THERE!
Three guest charachters in 1 dlc also all superheros, two mk characters who were supposed to be included in the main roster, literally paying £35 for 1 actual mk dlc character. Takeda WB wont get my money on this one. Corrupt.

Hey HBTW may people are wondering what happened to The One Being in this timeline. Does he even still exist and if he is around, how is he affected by the continuous timeline anomalies?
The one being exists outside the laws of time. Time has no effect on him and not even Fire God Liu Kang can defeat him.
maybe with a little bit of luck, SOMEONE at Neither Realm saw the Death Battle episode between Omni-Man vs. Homelander and incorperates that fight in their interactions.
Quan Chi is one of my absolute favorite characters in all of Mortal Kombat -- in the top 3 for sure -- so imagine my extreme disappointment when it was revealed in the story mode that he is not voiced by the same voice actor as MK9 and MKX... Quan Chi's old VA was, in my opinion, the most perfect casting in the franchise. Frankly, this new VA is god-awful; the character no longer feels menacing, and he has lost the gravitas and presence that he was known for. This new voice actor plays the role like the understudy in a community college play portraying a moustache-twirling villain from a kids' cartoon. Such a let-down...

Peacemaker has been my most looked forward to character. And I think he won’t be that much of a zoner. They seem to be using his show adaptation where he genuinely uses his fists and fighting and brute strength and trained killing ability more. And his only ranged arsenal that he can have realistically strapped on him during a MK match is the desert Eagle and blowgun

I think having all of these guest characters is a waste. Can we please just get all MK characters? I get it, it’s WB that’s pushing them, but it’s really annoying.
I think complaining about Omni-Man and Homelander being too similar just because both are pastiches of Superman is like complaining if we get Noob and Ermac in the same pack because they are both ninjas. Omni-Man is my main now, he's so incredibly fun and dynamic; he really feels authentic to the character and is everything he should be. Yeah I think The Boys comic is the dumb edgelord bullshit that people accuse the show of being. Yeah I think Anthony will be voicing the character, its probably even in his Amazon contract or something; I think the Instagram post might have been him confused as to what was being asked or because the strike had just ended he didn't want to confirm anything. Homelander is going to be a zoner for sure. Peacemaker was an incredible show and The Suicide Squad is my favorite DC film; so I'm super hyped for him. He will be so fucking absurd and I'll love every second of it; him and Johnny will have some insane interactions. Also god damn would it be amazing to get Vigilante as a Kameo. Ermac and especially Quan Chi should have been in the base game, like Quan is in the story so much more, and for fucks sake he's part of the final boss fight; where as Reiko is in the story for like five minutes, I just don't understand the choice. I'm not mad Reiko is in the game, just confused as to why and how he got in over Quan Chi. Ermac is interesting in the story and I like the mummy look because I love monsters, I'm not bothered by his design; though I would have thought they would have gone more with his 3D era design considering how they went with story elements from the 3D era. I am very hyped for my boy Takeda to come back, my two favorite characters are Scorpion and Kenshi; so I really like him, and his insane combos will be so much fun. I still just really fucking want Ash though, maybe now it can happen; also Spawn coming back would be amazing, though it isn't likely.

If they can make these guest characters unique as Omniman im ok with guest characters but I'd honestly like to see how Kollector would play in this mk game as sevetal characters are a bit different then their part incarnations Shao, Reiko, Asura, Havok, Rain, Baraka, Kenshi, Reptile are different even characters who play the same have completely new moves and moves they use to use like Lui Kangs, Kung Lao dnt have moves they always had i want Kollector, Divora and Kintaro as playable
I want Geralt, Arthur Morgan, Deathstroke as the next guest characters. And Striker, Jax, Goro(or Kintaro) and Jada.
Peacemaker is gonna be completely broken. How the hell are you supposed to fight someone who has permanent invisibility for the entire match? There's _no_ reacting to his moves!
kinda wish they chose starlight i understand how popular homelander is but more female representation and a character that doesnt come across as similar to omni-man but either way im intreseted to see the character

Guys I need help I bought the Kombat back a couple days ago and it still says they are locked I feel like I got scammed for 40$ I have a PS5 and I go to manage game content and it just says usable and won’t let me download it just wanted to ask for some help or someone with the same problem as me
The only dlc character we can use right now is Omni Man. The rest are not playable yet and are locked for everyone right now until they get released.

You know what I like to see more DC characters in mortal Kombat if we got joker in 11 and peacemaker and this game would it be awesome to see Deathstroke or any other characters that kill in the DC universe

Omni Man plays like Superman from Injustice 2. That means little skill is needed to win with him, and that means EVERYONE picks him online with Serena as the kameo. He’s a cheap addition to the game like Jason was in MKX.
Nah Omniman takes some skill to use plays you not just gonna pick him and win or know how to use him like Lao Kang, Scorpion or sub zero I had a hard time opening people up with him at first and some times I'm.so use to getting blocked at times I don't cancel to his Viltrum stance he is fun but he is hard to use then my main what who is actually easy to use
I would complain if they nerfed Serena slightly if you duck her projectile he should come back only if it hits you or you block it
