You should check out Taylor's last 2 albums "folklore" and evermore" these are some of her best storytelling songs. Listen to folklore first, there are 3 songs that are connected, betty, cardigan, and august it is a teenage story, cardigan is the perspective of betty, betty is the perspective of James and August is of the other girl.

Loved the rx. It’s not bad thing to admit you like a Tay song! I’m 52 and I wasn’t a “hater” but I was a bit indifferent to her and her music. Until pandemic. I made it my project after she put out folklore and evermore. Another level. Lyrically superior. It’s nothing I had heard from Taylor before. And I realized she isn’t a teenager. She’s 32. if her music still sounded the same about the same subject, something would be wrong. Now I’m a fan, and people listen to her because of her pen, no one comes close to her pen. Folklore and evermore. Try those out. They are to be listened for the lyrics and instrumentals, the storytelling. Just try it. There is another line on a song from evermore that is similar to “a soldier returning half their weight” from All Too Well. it goes like this, what if i “gained the weight of you, then lose it, believe me I could do it”. AND, I’m impressed you wrote a short story/essay inspired by this. That’s what art is about, having someone relate to it or respond to it.
She actually was an award winning poet by age 11. She also wrote poetry during her Reputation era, there are two poems that accompanied the album “Why She Disappeared” and “The Trick to Holding On”. A few songs on these albums are really just poems she set to music. She also wrote a novel by age 13. And, was hired as a songwriter for Sony Music (not a singer) at age 14. Age 14. So, point being, its ok to respect the pen and be inspired by it. She cannot be touched when it comes to her pen. that is why she is popular. I’m 52 and only now discovering her sharp pen and I’m proud to be a fan, now. Check out those albums. Folk/indie music infused a slight bit of pop with her lyrics and storytelling.

I think sometimes we forget that half of her career was spent on her teenage years and her twenties and she had evolved so much since then. Still the same Taylor just have different stories to tell. I recently just watched her pond recordings and not gonna lie, I got a little teary! Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching our videos! @@krisbrick3089 glad you watched the long pond sessions. I love hearing about the writing process, the creative process. Now, evermore. Folklore is better overall, but most fans prefer evermore. It has more variety. Is not as cohesive. But, it has something for everyone and the storytelling IMO is better. Most people like evermore better than folklore.

The scarf is also symbolic of Tay Tay's virginity. It's well known that Jake Gyllenhaal took her virginity. When she says "you keep my old scarf from that very first week, cause it reminds you of innocence and it smells like me." He took her virginity and there's no way he can give it back. That's why the album "Red" is almost entirely about Jake. The opening track, "State of Grace" talks about "twin fire signs... four blue eyes." That's a parallel to All Too Well's 10 minute version about "did the twin flame bruise paint you blue?" Jake is also a saggitarius like Taylor which is why she mentioned the twin flames.
The line "Just between us did the love affair maim you too?" That's a parallel to her song "Sad Beautiful, Tragic" where the chorus says, "What a sad, beautiful, tragic love affair."
The part in All Too Well where she's "not weeping in the party bathroom. Some actress asking me, 'what happened?' You!" And soon after, "Then he watched me watch the front door all night, willing you to come. And he said 'It's supposed to be fun turning 21.'" The event of her 21st birthday is further specified in her entire song "The Moment I Knew." It is known that Jake promised to be at her birthday party but bailed on her to be a roadie for his favorite indie band.
That brings me to the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" where she says
"And you would hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine." This parallels her new song from the Red (Taylor's Version) from the vault track "I Bet You Think About Me" where she says "I bet you think about me when you're out at your cool indie music concerts every week."
So yeah, Red is what she felt through the different stages of her relationship with Jake... All Too Well being the album's main course.

Folklore & Evermore have lyric videos and the lyric video for Marjorie is actual footage of her grandma Marjorie Finlay who was an opera singer she died in 2003 never got to see Taylor successful but would be so proud of her

So, a couple of things, just for the future. Background, for visuals, is really important, so you may want to remove the drink cups from in front of the camera, and your audio is echoing, due to the room you are in, so you may either want to do things in a smaller room, or a room with carpet. Also, your light is reflecting off of the picture behind you, so consider the background for your videos, and have something without glass behind you. You can watch some RUclips tutorials on setting up the room to increase maximum traffic- it really is a thing.
