The antenna.... what about the antanna? You have shown, all the toy like, the fast computer like features. In the end it's a PHONE so it's important if you need to make e.g. an emergency call. I've seen a lot of phones which has it all but can't make a phonecall even in city area with fair antenna coverage. What's the verdict on the antenna on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9???
My experience the antenna reception is great on the Note 9, actually has 1 to 2 bars over my Note 4 which in the area I'm in the Note 4 was only displaying 1 to 2 bars and the Note 9 3 to 4 bars, same when I owned the Note 8, mind you that's with Australian towers
I used the S-Pen a LOT when working. Still do, though less for my current job. That's on a Note 3, rocking the original pen, never lost it (but the reminder function made me go pick it back up a couple of times).
I work at a McDonald's and was placed in the back window one day. This man went in the drive thru without having his order taken at the speaker so I was confused. I tried asking him "excuse me sir, I don't believe I got your order, would you mind if I asked for it again". He kept shaking his head and handed me a slip of paper. The paper had what he wanted to order on it but it was vague. "kids meal- apple. Big mac- med." there's a lot more to an order than the basics, and so I quickly whipped out my S-Pen and as I would show him what I wrote, he would nod yes or no. This went on for a few minutes until I got his order down correctly. When we were set and done he gestured for my phone. So I hand it to him, and he writes "phone??".. I wrote back "note 9". And bless this man, his smile so big. He gave me a "thank you" in sign language and a thumbs up, and went about his day. Honestly the coolest experience I've ever had with my Note 9, and this happened after only owning it for 2 days(upgraded from galaxyS7 to note9 in September)!
I use a Note 8. Just wanted to comment about the use of S-Pen! I live in a cold country and the only way to use my phone outdoors with winter gloves of my choice is with the S-Pen (conductive gloves ar mostly too thin to withstand cold). The Pen is also very handy when it comes to selecting text and editing photos in Photoshop!
MarinaJA7 Maybe he doesn’t use it personally. After all, his review is a bit biased towards his own usage, (fingerprint scanner malfunctions, etc) not the entire phone.
note 9 is best selling samsung to date...beating the iphone that shows people are becoming less enslaved to apple's tyranical prices and lackluster products
Oh my God apple is so evil! It’s a demonic company! Give me a break. Let people buy what they want. Every phone has its own unique features. I personally prefer apple products even though I was also a long time android user.
@@potato69ggez84 went over your head. Since you seem like an apple user then get rid of your android and go with apple. He didn't say don't buy the iPhone.
I got the note 9 about a week after it was released and I have loved it. Coming from a galaxy S7 and not being really thrilled with many other phones on the market (notch city). It was either the note 9, pixel 3, or wait for the S10. Overall, I think I made the right choice. Samsung to me is a safe zone for tech. Might not to be the best at one thing, but damn. Do they do a lot of things well enough for me to question going to another brand. It's like going to a restaurant you've been to 1000 times and getting something similar everytime. Might not be the most exciting thing in the world, but (most of the time) I won't be disappointed.
Same exact story from me. The only difference I came from the sun edge. But I'm almost regretting not waiting for the s10. I really wanted a new phone but from the leaks I've seem over the past month It looks like it will be so good of a phone. How do u feel about this seeing as you are also using the note 9?
Same here coming from S7 Edge. Samsung is the best in display business. Wanted to get S10 too but it might come with first gen features like foldables or in screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner or in screen sensors and cameras. I tend to want features to be refined by a couple more generations just like the note 4 edge. Note 9 is the safest bet.
I came from a Note 8 lol mind you lost nearly half selling the Note 8 one year later but the Note 9 ticked all the boxes I wanted in a high end mobile, one complaint I have on the N9 is why the a time limit of 5 minutes for video taking in 4K while the iPhone's don't have this limitation, otherwise perfect mobile of the year, trying to imagine what could the Note 10 offer better, ps mines the 512gb version :D
@@venomousvenom010 I wasn't supposed to change phone but noticed my S7E started to have battery problems. It wasn't even laggy, snappy as ever. Asked Samsung support about it and discovered a short in the motherboard. Really served me well that's why I continued to get Samsung products. Note 3 to S7E to Note 9. Most probably will still get another Samsung when this beast retire.
Same here. I used to use cheap phones before that would die in the middle of the day while I was at work. Now I get home around 5 and it's at 40 percent. Still Bring my charger just incase but never had to use it. I listen to RUclips videos all day at work and still hasn't died on me lol
These people change phones so regularly because of software updates being cut off but imo i dont care about that, as long as the phone can keep up with modern apps and games im good
@@davidbanks7389 nah the battery went poop and i couldn't find a replacement that seemed like it wasn't prone to failure so i ended up having to get a new phone. However i was forced to get another carrier on a different type of network so i had to get yet another phone and this is the last one for a long ass time so long as it doesn't get any worse about not wanting to charge. Don't buy google phone or tablets i've had nothing but issues with any google product i've had.
I picked up the Note 9 as my first exit from iPhones. I have so far been absolutely blown away with it. You're absolutely correct about how awesome the display is in both size and color accuracy and vibrancy. Also as for me, I use the Note 9 stylus for EVERYTHING. As you mentioned, it is a tad too big to operate with one hand, and I'm 6'4" grown man. So I hold the phone with one hand and operate everything on it with the stylus in the other. Using the stylus also relieves you of having to get so many fingerprints and smudges on the screen, and it also has a button on it that can perform functions like snapping a picture when camera is open. Absolutely awesome phone and it's the only one out in my opinion in 2018 that is nearly worth at all what it costs.
in germany at least you can pick it up for 720euros... With samsung divices you have to wait just 2-3 months and you can save a big chunk of money. Imo the note 9 is the best allround phone on the market, 0 compromises
Kyle Ingram what do you find better about it than the iPhone XS Max? If it’s the notch and/or headphone jack that is necessary for you, then I understand. But if not, what would drive you away from iOS? Just wondering genuinely
@@xblur17 That's definitely a big part of it. Apple continues to cut features on their products and then sell it like its still the superior option to Samsung. There's a few things I miss from iOS but by and large I'm happy with my decision. Its very possible I could go back to Apple when I upgrade again, but for now I'm giving Samsung the chance they deserve. Also Samsung offered a $300 credit for my wife's iphone for us to switch.
@@kyleingram6330 I'm just in the process of switching to the Note 9 from an Iphone 7+, and never using android before. As to your last point for me through my carrier it would've cost me $1550+$199(old contract buyout)+$25 more monthly new plan for an XS Max 256gb. For the Note 9 128gb they gave it to me for $0 with the Buyout + new plan. Also same as you said my plan as of now is use the phone for a year and sell it towards next years Iphone. Samsung has about 9months to win me over.
You were asking about other uses for the s-pen and there are a couple of good ones. Consider if you are an artist or graphic designer talking to a potential client. You can sketch out your idea right in front of the client so they can better understand what you are talking about. Unfortunately roughly 95% of all people are unable to visualize something from a description of it. We are visual people.
@@jelaninoel Well, you would be right if it weren't for so many that have commented below that they use it for note taking and making comments on things for work and play. The pen is also great when precision is needed for gaming if you are into that on your phone. No more cumbersome fingers blocking your view of what you are trying to click on. ;-)
@@jelaninoel That's one of the reasons there are different lineups in Samsung. Get the best one that fits for you, if you won't be using the S-Pen, just get an S9.
@@jelaninoel artists, engineers, multimedia editors, excel users, and many more enjoy their stylus. if a person doesn't know how and why to use a wheel, then, that person would only walk for the same long distance.
I am a Construction contractor and I love my note 9 for work. The S pen is amazing for measurements for estimates and sending photos of work with pictures of the job and being able to circle or point to certain objects or problems. When measuring, I simply take the photo and write the measurements on the picture. So awesome! Also draw outlines and diagrams as a rough draft for blueprints or roof parameters. Also, great to share wifi in business meetings inside areas that have bad reception or places that just dont have it. All around great phone with many new upgrades since this video.
As a language learner I use the s-pen translation feature that translate words by hovering over them with the s-pen. Also the text extract from pictures is super helpful. Also for scrolling down and up on web pages by pressing the s-pen button.
I'd definitely use the S-Pen for sketching, or also for certain games where precision is important. It's something that's nice to have since you're not really paying any penalty for it and can just forget about it when you don't need it.
It works great for Elite Beat Agents and other games on a Nintendo DS emulator. Question though, are you able to get tilt support when drawing the Note 9 pen? I can't seem to get it working on my 9 in Autodesk Sketchbook when I know it worked on my Note 8.
SMART SELECT! I can't use it enough, especially for sharing memes, or taking notes that require images. It even extracts text and phone numbers! It's so much more intuitive than using my fat fingers to select text. Amazingly it can extract text from images too!!
been using Note since Note2, then I upgraded to Note4, after using it for more than 4 years i finally feel the need to upgrade, Note9 will be just perfect.
Love the review, I do use the s-pen every day, OneNote, Sketching new ideas, sending note reviews for website, signing documents and many other tasks, quick notes are a blast when you meet someone without business cards and on a rush, just get the pen out write down the phone number, and you are good to go. Bixby, I used it a lot with my S8+ but version 2.0 is unresponsive most of the time. Other than that, I could say it worth the money if you know how to use the pen, if not, just get an S9+ or the new One Plus phone
@@AdarshPandeyFilms The problem is that I also want to get my hands on a new Gaming PC after owning a laptop for 7 years that is completely outdated these days. At the end of the year I will have saved around 2.000€ (birthday and christmas cash of this year included). A proper Gaming PC that lasts for the next 5 to 10 years will be at least 1.200€, not including keyboard, screen and speakers. The Note 9 is currently avaible for 850€ in my country - I don't really have the budget.
I'm a business user, and I use the S-Pen on the Note 8 multiple times during the day. From quick notes, material and to-do lists, to using it to highlight or copy text (even when copying isn't available with your finger gestures), to smart selecting pictures etc, the S-Pen just opens up so many useful features. I'm waiting for the Note 10, definitely looking forward to the bigger battery, dual speakers, in screen finger print sensor, and the new night shot camera mode, plus whatever other goodies Samsung throws in there. Great video! Keep 'em coming!
Yes sir. I came from the 7 plus to the note 9. I thought the battery life was good on the 7 plus I was fine with it. Note 9 battery life is on a whole new level .
Yes, the best feature that package into a phone, not the best speed on market , not the best battery life in market, but it got what people want in a package, if u have a car with topspeed of 300km/h but with VERY BORONG CONSOLE and Dont have any feature on it , that totally off seriously
Great video! In particular, I must compliment your great audio quality. I'm rocking pro monitors (Adam Audio T7V's) with a nice DAC at my desk and your audio was just perfect. Good job on the editing!
I've had a Note 3, a Note 4 and a Note 5. I used the S-pen a lot. It came in really handy when processing photos, especially when using the Snapseed app.
Understandable but a an excuse used quite often. From Touch Wiz to Samsung experience and now One UI. Just a way to say the delay is 'justified'. The been late with upgrades even without the rebranding. Its a sad truth people need to accept.

@@alterateawful6709 On the contrary, every new Android iteration has more inbuilt features to make external features useless (helping with speed and battery life), has better battery management, cleaner and simplified system & code to run things quicker and efficiently, better power management, in all its not just about making the device fast but a smartphone much smarter and extending its lifespan. Its pointless to buy a new phone every year. It just adds up to tech waste.
I use my S Pen to click "x" buttons on some ads, and hover over links for hover-over pop-ups. Also, when I need to precisely position the cursor while typing, the S Pen is useful. Also, I sketch a bit for rough drafts yo being into desktop applications for refinement.
I've had my Note9 for a little over a month now and it's a great device! There are some high-end desktops out there that don't cost $1000 bucks so it's odviously not a justifiable price but what can I say!!🤷
Great review. Sorry about your cracked glass at the back. Just today I was wondering whether to take off my Nillkin flip cover and start using my Note 9 ‘naked’, but this video changed my mind. I’ve been using it for a month now and it’s been a great experience. Every once in a while it does get a little warm while using data on VoLTE, but other than that it’s perfect. No lags, no stutters and a phenomenal battery life. I’ve used the S9 Plus as well and though the volume level on the S9 Plus sounds a bit louder, the ‘stereo effect’ is more pronounced on the Note - meaning I can actually feel the sound coming from two different speakers. The phone is a tad big for small hands and I still think the S9 Plus’ form factor was the best that ever came from the Korean giant. Still the battery on the Note 9 will make me hold on to it till the S10 comes out. And if the S10 has the same mah battery as this one then I might not even upgrade as I usually do with every new flagship that comes from Samsung.
Sales rep here: The pen is great! I'm somewhere far from home, get a call and have to write something down quickly. Take out the pen, write it down, get it saved automatically. It's also great if you want to lift your phone and take a picture. Helped me a lot to get the right angle without shaking when pressing the button!
I use the SPen a ton on the job. I can take a picture of the prints of the building and write all over it without ruining the site set. I can also take pictures of the equipment we are working on and actually circle or point to the issue so I can show the foreman/engineer much easier than trying to explain. Lastly I use it to draw up isometric drawings on site then send it to them guys without having to find them.
I switched from Apple to my first android using note 9. Gotta say I'm in love with Samsung now. The phone can do ANYTHING! Theres a lot of things that you dont see it at firsf but It's there when you need it. Play app sounds separately one to bluetooth speaker and one to phone? Check. S pen for group selfie, check, soooooo convenient. Samsung Dex to play movies on TV? Check. Connect seamlessly to Samsung tv if u have one, check. There are many other things that keep making me impressed more and more about the phone every time that I need to do something and the phone can do it. Unlike Apple you can't do shit, and I'd been with Apple since forever.
I'm in the market for a new phone and I have reached out via YT to may reviewers. I have to say you are the best one I have come across. The others, although good, tend to race through causing me to always stop the video and rewind.
Its screen sux compared to Sony XZ3 or even Huawei Mate 20 pro. Its processor is slower than XZ3, Mate 20 pro, One + 6 T. Its web browsing also is not the fastest, its sound is not the best, its battery is not the biggest. Dude, Note 9 is the biggest scam of 2018
Watching a review of the note 9 on a note 9! xD BTW if you're gonna buy a note 9 make sure to grab the led case it's one of the note series coolest accessories
Hello Mr. HardwareCanucks, I bought a note 8 a few days ago because I really, really, really miss my old note 4 (that I gave my dad as a present). What do I want that pen for so much? As a software engineering student math is a large part of my studies in one way or another - math is the worst subject for leaving endless pages of scrap paper with junk working-out that just gets thrown away because it has no value. Apart from math and taking notes for class, annotating pdf's and all types of rough working out for code or projects, I also am a digital/traditional artist and the note is the best cheap (draw-on-glass) digitiser available. Apart from a note, maybe you can go spend a couple thousand bucks on a wacom that lets you draw on the glass. Tablet form factor is no good to me on the bus or in class, so the note it is. Thank you for the video Mr. HardwareCanucks, I look forward to seeing the next video from you soon
I find myself using the pen for notes, games, drawing, and documents. Being a convert from Apple's ecosystem, it has been an adjustment but I'm beginning to love the endless capabilities of this device.
I've got the 512GB blue note 9 and absolutely love it. i paid 1249 usd and it came with their 360 gear camera. im using a rhinoshield bumper case and dbrand skin for the back with a tempered glass screen protector. i upgraded from a nexus 6p and so far, other than not having the latest android yet, my experience has been nothing but wonderful.
Would u recommend the case?. Im also using the note 9. And also what screen protector do u use. I have had 3 and they were all terable. They all got a lot of dust under the crevices so I just stopped using it.
@@aidan1047 i had the same case line on my nexus it maintains the slim form factor of the phone while providing good corner protection. i recommend it. i had to trim the plastic on the volume rocker to make it work right but it works perfectly now. i use the icarez luxury series screen protector. i got it on amazon for $9. no complaints yet. i had a different one on there that cracked after a week so i went back to this brand as it's the same one i had on my last phone. something to keep in mind is it looks like dbrand is going to launch their GRIP bumper case soonish. i'll probably get one of those when it launches because that case is really grippy in your hand whereas the rhinoshield is more of a dense rubber-plastic.
too much spec talk and not enough talk about note 9 impression after 90 days. lastly u mentioned there are better options for the same spec than note 9 for less, which phones?
I mainly use the S Pen to draw on pics people send me. My one friend is into Tech but always breaks things, so every pic he sends me I draw flames on them and resend them. Its pretty fun
I've had a Note 9 for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. It is hands down the best phone I've ever owned. I'm also someone who uses mobile devices more than my computer, and styluses extensively, and that makes the Note 9 a perfect fit for me. I also find myself looking DEX, and using it quite a bit. The flexibility of this device is fantastic. Sure, it's not going to work for everyone, but if it's your thing it's great! On the Bluetooth stylus uses question, I use mine all the time for taking photos, or controlling music playback when I have my phone connected to external speakers. It's a welcome addition as far as I'm concerned.
@@nightknight445 I only lost about 20%; 3 hours straight of old school RuneScape while running RUclips red in the back, heavy texting in between. Christian Steward holy! The battery is a beast! I’m on an iPhone 6S right now and the battery drains 1% per minute running only OSRS lol. I’m definitely upgrading now. Thanks a bunch for the response!
Ive had my Note 8 for over a year and it's just as fast as when I first bought it. I've had a case since the beginning and ive dropped it countless times, one time it actually broke my fall going up stairs and this thing is a rock. It only got some scratches. I've found ways to make the note 8 faster through settings and it feels like the best phone there is. I just wish the battery was better, but that still isn't a hastle.
Two days off one charge? I don't know about that. I've had mine for about a month now, and it'll get me through the day, but I'll have to charge it when I get home. A 4000mah battery is nice, but I don't know, I feel like mine dies rather fast.
@Gabrielle Kynis Yep, it always says 100% I've also went to always sleeping apps, and set all my apps to always sleeping, so they don't run in the background.
I agree. I'm upgrading from galaxy s6 edge+. The battery in the 9 last just a little longer. I've been on my phone on and off since 9 am its 7 PM now with 13% left. With light to medium use.
@@Pearl21079 Yeah, I came from the s7, and the battery life was pretty good. The note9 has good battery life, I just notice with heavy usage, I'll drain right through the battery.
I have a Note 8. And to answer your question about the S pen, I use it mostly (multiple times daily) for editing pics in Lightroom. Also, editing videos in VivaVideo.
As an online math teacher, the s-pen is super handy to jot down diagrams and solutions to students' questions. Then I can easily send a pdf of the solution. It's a great way to work on the go when I'm not around my main tablet or computer. It's quicker than booting up my surface pro :)
gahowell1 Great for parents as well. I can use it during the times we have to travel long hours or in waiting rooms to practice letters, reading and writing especially in my native language. Awesome feature!
I use the s pen for two things. I esig documents, Hence no fedex or other shipping to send contracts. This alone pays for the phone itself. And I use it to study foreign languages. Vietnamese and Chinese. The pen notepad is great. One thing I use the phone more than dex is portable projector. I can use the steam app, wifi link play my games. With the projector I can play anywhere in house. I also use it for powerpoint presentations.
It's not that they dont care about having the latest software. They want to make SURE everything is going to be safe and work before they push the update.
@HarderwareCanucks This is my time watching your videos, honestly I think you're are underated....i like your intros, geekyranjit are all just hype...you really have a shot...do stuff like this
I just wanted to do the same, but I have tried it in a store and it is too big for my hand, but to be honest, beside the nicer display of the S10+, I do not think the differences worth the extra money. Just my 2 cents. I am just looking for a decent phone that won't break the bank.
talking about the S pen i have the note 4 and nearly had it 4 years continually. i am on the phone alot and its really handy when i have to write a reference number or password or anything relevant. it also saves the notes to the number automatically so if i need to call them again it shows previous notes. thats super practical.
I bought his & hers full retail. No regrets. Note9 has replaced the PC in our home. You missed some game changing features tho. Rapid wireless has changed how I use it. Just set it on a dock when not in use. Not more dead cables, ever. Samsung pay is huge as well. Investment in the ecosystem pays big dividends.
@@theimpwimp5820 This deal was good enough for me to forget about the s10. ~$600 is a steal and will be practically half of what the s10 launches at. Made my year.
Bought my Note 9 at best buy for $800. This phone is worth every penny I paid. Battery is brilliant. At $800 I got way more than I expected. With end of year sales I would recommend this to everyone.
Seriously, i have to ask. Why do people care so much about upgrading their OS to the latest version as soon as possible ? Stable in linux X stable in Android. Google keep messing up android which was supposed to be simple at first. Don't upgrade or update if you don't face problems, no important security updates (you can actually patch it without upgrading), or you don't need new features. Wait at least a year after, for example, Oreo was released. Any stable during a year is, believe me, buggy. Google is not RHEL, stable from google is not that stable. Plus before a year, app development will suck plus less apps will support new OS version. Stick with one down version from the newest version of any OS. That's the definition of "stable". If you want the bleeding edge version, if you're not the beta tester or early stable tester, just don't complain. You know the risk.
I just like being supported and don't like the sense of abandonment. I don't want to pay top price though, so I'm going with a midrange nokia to get my fix.
The problem isn't the updates on SAMSUNG. The problem is the POLICY of SAMSUNG UPDATES. They are so fucking SLOW and they release updates too slow for different phones (exemple: S8 - Oreo in February/ March S7 - Oreo in FUCKING JUNE / JULY !! ) That's fucking frustrating that you spended so much money for a device which isn't running the latest OEM OS.
I have owned several Note 4’s, and Note 9 is the first Samsung phone since to compare to the quality of them for me. Every one since has lacked in build quality or battery life... hoping to pick one up soon
I just ordered the Note 9 thru Samsung for $550 including my trade in , a $250 value ( Samsung 8 + ) which was better than most online places are offering. The 8+ has served me well for the last year plus. It was good but wanted longer battery life & slightly larger screen. Also, I recently got the Samsung Gear 3 smart watch and now running Bluetooth all the time I wanted a larger battery in my phone. I take tons of pics and know I’ll like the 2 cameras plus the extra storage. Based on the reviews I watched , I know I’ll be happy & got at a great price. I chose the blue 128gb model { I have T-Mobile} Great review, thanks 👍
Love this phone getting It on the 16th I'll edit in my experience for those who want to know what I think! Edit: runs way faster than my old phone and can hold many apps! It is great for my broadcast class camera quality and capabilities are amazing!
I have the Blue 512gb note 9. You mentioned not actively using the s-pen, and I am on the polar opposite side of that. I use my s-pen all the time. I use it when I need to use desktop layout in Chrome. I use it to jot down numbers/sku's at work. I use it to doodle when I'm bored, and I use it for shopping online. My fingers can do all of that too, but it is something you have to commit to using before it REALLY impacts your use. I wouldn't want to live without it anymore. My complaint about the s-pen is how short the battery life is. I would like to be able to take it out when I get in my vehicle and use it the entire trip home (about 15 minutes) to skip songs. You mentioned the DEX feature. I use it occasionally. It is faster to connect my phone to TVs in the common areas of my house with it, where we may have multiple consoles that I can't be bothered to turn on, but not in my room. I can confidently say that my Note 9 has replaced my Razer Blade Stealth almost entirely, with the exception of heavy browsing for shopping comparison, and the occasional league of legends game. My iPad mini 2 has gone untouched since I have acquired this device. Well worth the $1250 P.s. you can use an app to remap Bixby, I use Google assistant on that button.
I think the note 9 I can use it more than 4 years. Like I did with the note 4 i sell it to my brother still good. Now going to give it to he son. Plus I don’t want to delete things like less time and like it says can less a day on the battery.
True... They'll still sell like hotcakes regardless. To be fair, they have most features already but it's still nice to have fast updates, particularly for this price.
Not many updates because most Samsung phones already have what Google and Apple pushing out since the Galaxy S4. Security updates are the most important at this point
There is a deal breaking problem for a small segment of users that film using an external monitor connected with a type C to HDMI cable dongle. When the camera is enabled in the landscape mode the monitor is switched to portrait mode and a message is displayed to the effect that landscape mode is not available when Smart View is enabled OR a HDMI connection is used. This essentially renders an external monitor useless and only occurs when in the camera mode. Why Samsung designed implemented this function is a mystery as no other app exhibits it. I have tried different cables and different camera apps and nothing tried will display landscape in a camera app. As I said this is a deal breaker and I wish I had known prior to my purchase.
I'm very happy with my Samsung Galaxy note 9. The only negative I have with it personally is this: the s pen. I like the s pen and the concept of the s pen. However less than a month of having this phone the s pen somehow popped out of the phone and broke in two. The fall was nothing dramatic and it was on carpet. Yet the s pen broke in half. Oh and apparently it's not covered because it's considered an accessory even though it's actually part of the phone. And I'm sure it's going to be pricey to replace maybe around $50?... But other than that I am really enjoying using this phone. All I have to do is replace that spen. I appreciate this video and the comments are helping me in my continued evaluation of this product.

Cant believe you actully handed it over to him. If I were him I would have drove off
This could be a great advertisement for Samsung

I use a Note 8. Just wanted to comment about the use of S-Pen! I live in a cold country and the only way to use my phone outdoors with winter gloves of my choice is with the S-Pen (conductive gloves ar mostly too thin to withstand cold). The Pen is also very handy when it comes to selecting text and editing photos in Photoshop!
You were supposed to give an impression after 90 days. Instead, specs and first impressions!
Exactly
Right full review Nd shit, lol
Precisely! Also, an important feature - the sPen, you had nothing on! Disappointed!!
MarinaJA7 Maybe he doesn’t use it personally. After all, his review is a bit biased towards his own usage, (fingerprint scanner malfunctions, etc) not the entire phone.
He already Did. Lmao!!! Can't you speak English?

Oh my God apple is so evil! It’s a demonic company!

I have noticed many ex-user of Samsung S7/S7 edge using Note 9 right now, including me. I can't be more happier with this phone. Total Beast!
@@venomousvenom010 I wasn't supposed to change phone but noticed my S7E started to have battery problems. It wasn't even laggy, snappy as ever.
Agree 💯

I'd definitely use the S-Pen for sketching, or also for certain games where precision is important. It's something that's nice to have since you're not really paying any penalty for it and can just forget about it when you don't need it.
The rolling menu + One note functionality like document scanning really is a blessing for academic note taking too.

Hello Mr. HardwareCanucks,
I bought a note 8 a few days ago because I really, really, really miss my old note 4 (that I gave my dad as a present).

Yup love the battery life
Note 9 512gb is on sale now for the same price as the 128gb, I will be picking one up. Nice review btw👍
Yessir!!! Me as well. Expect some game streaming while sweating my ass off @ a local gym.
I use pen for making simple diagrams to my team explaining what is in my head
It's super useful for this especially! That and quickly jotting down points in a meeting.
I use it when im in public drawing random shits not to look like a weirdo😂😂
means ure drawing brain lobes, neurons, blood vessels.
Major major major major go

Watching this on my Midnight Black Note 9. What a beast of a phone! It was the most expensive thing i've ever bought and i have absolutely no regrets!
I got the Note 9.. best thing I ever did. I love it! 3 weeks with it and I have no complaints at all.
Watching on my Note 9
2:30 *hit or miss*..... I guess you know how this goes
AlphaPi - απ I guess they never miss huh?
You got a boyfriend I bet he doesn’t kiss yaah
Mwah
He gon find another girl and he won't miss ya
*WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?*
Your voice quality is amazing brother.. keep it up. Nice review ..
It's not that they dont care about having the latest software. They want to make SURE everything is going to be safe and work before they push the update.
the note 9 s pen has an oddly satisfying feel on the screen. I utilize it just for that honestly.
2:30 I guess they never miss huh
I will buy it when it will be $600 on my country. Within few months it will be
Which Country?
Omg me too
Its already 675 in usa ebay
Its now
I bought it yesterday for 650
Dude what's the name of that theme???
I'm looking for it now
Have same question.. what's the theme name
I too have the same question. Any one found it ?
Theme name?
@HarderwareCanucks
This is my time watching your videos, honestly I think you're are underated....i like your intros, geekyranjit are all just hype...you really have a shot...do stuff like this
Just got the note 9 for the first time. Not sure if I made a mistake not getting the s10 plus?
I just wanted to do the same, but I have tried it in a store and it is too big for my hand, but to be honest, beside the nicer display of the S10+, I do not think the differences worth the extra money. Just my 2 cents. I am just looking for a decent phone that won't break the bank.
2:30 did somebody say...Hit or Miss
Sorry for wasting your time
Ike Ezeanyika it's okay😉
Whats the difference between this “90 day long term” review than the launch reviews? Its just a repeat of any launch review.
@Reverie_ also if any issue appear after the initial 7-14 day trials , they will appear here
no shit sherlock
they do the same stuff after 90 days to see if its still possible (regression). maybe device is slower after 90 days, maybe battery exploded. ;o)
im gong to upgrade from the note 2 to the note 9
Wow. You're in for a treat!
Wow your phone is old
Wow
major upgrade hahaha
Well damn!
talking about the S pen i have the note 4 and nearly had it 4 years continually. i am on the phone alot and its really handy when i have to write a reference number or password or anything relevant. it also saves the notes to the number automatically so if i need to call them again it shows previous notes. thats super practical.
Hey man, don't hate on Bixby. She's special, alright?
I used bxActions to reprogram her.
How?
@@TobiasDettinger by using bxactions
Note 9💪 Look at the features you're getting with the iPhone for the price 🤔
i would definitely spend 41.67 dollars/month for 24 months on verizon. (on best buy for everyone) (black Friday week was 29.16 dollars)
in my country it cost me 52usd per month for 24months. with 12gb data and unli sms
It's that much at Verizon? It's about 33 at sprint.
It’s $24.99 per month on Verizon right now
@@theimpwimp5820 I just bought mine!
I can pick it up instore tomorrow :)
Note 8 user here for 1.5 years, no lags stutters or anything of the sort!
Daredevil season 3 is amazing so far!

Wannacry is the reason why
The problem isn't the updates on SAMSUNG. The problem is the POLICY of SAMSUNG UPDATES. They are so fucking SLOW and they release updates too slow for different phones (exemple: S8 - Oreo in February/ March S7 - Oreo in FUCKING JUNE / JULY !! ) That's fucking frustrating that you spended so much money for a device which isn't running the latest OEM OS.
I know, Samsung have their own security updates and already have all the features android p has and more, it's just marketing bullshit 🤣
YES ONE PLUS 6T IS THE BEST PHONE OF THE YEAR FOR MIDRANGE PHONES BUT MY NOTE 9 FOR FLAGSHIP OF THE YEAR😘😍🤩
I have owned several Note 4’s, and Note 9 is the first Samsung phone since to compare to the quality of them for me.
I chose the blue 128gb model { I have T-Mobile}
Great review, thanks 👍
Note8 Battery sucks. It's so inconsistent
Love this phone getting It on the 16th I'll edit in my experience for those who want to know what I think!
Edit: runs way faster than my old phone and can hold many apps! It is great for my broadcast class camera quality and capabilities are amazing!
@Laudate Dominum so its a good phone lol
Hit or miss? I guess samsung never miss, huh?
Note 7
Samsung then proceeded to get rid of headphone Jack on a8 after talking shit to apple about it lol
You got an iphone? I bet it dont have a pen
Well worth the $1250
P.s. you can use an app to remap Bixby, I use Google assistant on that button.
Oh and with the s-pen you can use smart select in snapchat and it won't give them a screenshot notification. 😉
Signing emailed docs without printing and emailing them back in a span of a few minutes was a feature so convenient for me.
Yes of course I’m going to buy it. But I’m going for the 8 GB RAM . The more the better
Unless you plan on doing really heavy task on the phone or keeping it for at least 2+ years 6 GB of RAM will be sufficient.
@@anthonyt425 or if you want less money left because its 1250 bucks
That's the one I got. You will not regret it.
I think the note 9 I can use it more than 4 years. Like I did with the note 4 i sell it to my brother still good. Now going to give it to he son. Plus I don’t want to delete things like less time and like it says can less a day on the battery.
@@daveblackburn1096 u sold it to your brother really? Fuck you
They don't update because they don't have to, people still buy them
And you get better features urly on older running systems..slit window pip on and on what are we missing nothing
True... They'll still sell like hotcakes regardless. To be fair, they have most features already but it's still nice to have fast updates, particularly for this price.
The phone is perfect the way it is
Not many updates because most Samsung phones already have what Google and Apple pushing out since the Galaxy S4. Security updates are the most important at this point
The note 9 still sells good but the galaxy sales more
2:30 I Guess They Never Miss, Huh?
You can get it on Amazon for 50.00
