  • Incredible ending of Georgia Tech vs. Clemson in 2004. GT scored three TDs in the last 4.5min to take the 28-24 win. This is Clemson's muffed punt and THE CATCH by Calvin Johnson with audio by Wes Durham.

    Great win for Tech. I wish there was a video of the last five minutes of the game, when the Yellow Jackets scored three touchdowns to win, after being almost hopelessly behind. This was probably one of the Top One Hundred wins in Tech football history.

    It's true that GT leads the all-time series 45-24-2, but that's probably because all of the games were played at GT's stadium from 1898 until 1973. Since they've been playing mostly home-and-away, the series has been pretty even.

    he shoulda kicked it into the endzone. They woulda still been winning by 1 point, and GT woulda had to go like 20-30 yards in 10 seconds w/ no timeouts.

    This loss belongs to the punter, punting that deep any problems with the snap at all should make him think safety. I can't blame the D with a momentum shift like that.

    • @tedjordan7567

      based on what?!? we finished with a better record, beat yall, and won a bowl, despite having a much tougher schedule. Clemson always plays weak comp in the Atlantic division.

    • @ClemsonC17
      @ClemsonC17 4 года назад

      Ted Jordan because the game was over. Clemson ran the ball all over tech that day. They beat themselves.

  • @bkporter12
    @bkporter12  17 лет назад

    Hmm, using that logic, both teams have been pretty lucky against each other. Going back since 1990, GT v Clemson has been 8-9 with Tech's average win being by 3 points and Clemson's by 12 points. If we take out Clemson's blowout wins in '06 and '03 (which I will grant were not luck but sheer buttwhoopings) of 36 and 24 points, the average changes to an average of a 7 point win.
    Why don't we just say that it has been a really close, competitive, entertaining rivalry for close to 20 years now?

  • @rpr52121
    @rpr52121 17 лет назад

    Punter should have kicked out the back of the end zone.
    Clemson would have won, 1 pt lead and get a new punt. Coach should have told him, or practiced that scenario or something. Bad coaching

      we say that now that we know who Calvin Johnson was. Back then he was just a freshman. Miller was a freshman all american, 3 year starter and all conference CB who would be drafted in the 2nd round in a few months. I think the coaches thought he could cover Johnson 1 on 1.
