    Your review was more informative than the Bosch website. That's saying something special. Great job. I'm looking forward to more content.

    DJI makes smart batteries for their drones. The batteries will (on their own) bring the charge down to 50% if for instance you have a fully charged battery and not use it for 2 weeks. Very cool feature.

    Could you add the Battery Health Status after a 100% charge to the video…🎉

      I remember years ago there was bad capacitors in many electronic devices. I hope that's not the case here. I have two of these chargers, and use them regularly with no issues. Although I very rarely turbo boost them.

    Massive shot in the dark but does anyone know where I can find a replacement screw cap for this charger that protects the Bluetooth module? I seem to have misplaced mine but it seems impossible to find this part anywhere

    Nice vid you should have more subscribers?
    Just confirm the GBA battery's will not give you diagnostics information?

    • @tooltipswithtommy

      I'm not sure what a gba battery is, but I will say, the diagnostics only work with the newer core batteries.

      @@tooltipswithtommy In South Africa, so a bit behind the rest of you, had to import the charger, chip and 4Ah battery's, the GBA battery is the unit before the Procore, the app recognises the battery and shows the info on it, but does not show the full info i.e, the charging time.
      As per Patrick Johnson, your review was way better than Bosch, well done keep it up buddy

    Now that you had it a while, how does it respond to a hot battery?
    Like if you run say their small vac and drain the battery, it's hot as 🔥! So I'm having to let it cool before I can put it on charger.

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  2 года назад +1

      Funny, I've had that exact scenario, so I put the battery directly onto the charger hot, and let the fans cool it. It did take a little longer to cool than I was hoping. It added about 30 minutes to the charging time. It was an 8 amp hour battery. So total time was about 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge it. Still happy with that though. I didn't use the turbo charge during this process. I try to keep the heat down as much as I can. Also I have a couple batteries so no biggie.

    • @carterscustomrods
      @carterscustomrods 2 года назад +1

      @@tooltipswithtommy yeah, I have the 8amp 6 pack charger and it's great. But if battery is hot, it doesnt like to start the charging process.
      .
      Perhaps if there's a good Black Friday deal I'll get the 16amp charger you have. But like you said, having multiple batteries I don't necessarily "need" it. But if it's a good deal, I will be unable to turn it down lol.

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  2 года назад

      Lowe's has the deal again, if you get any profactor tool, you get the 8 amp battery and fast charge free. Till Christmas I think.

    • @carterscustomrods
      @carterscustomrods 2 года назад +1

      @@tooltipswithtommy I have a couple 8's now... I'm waiting on 12's to go on sale for Black Friday... maybe... lol.
      And for now theres no more profactor tools I need. That is until several new profactor tools come out in 2022 that I've been waiting on. Maybe one particularly great tool will be here by 2022/23 (I think 2023 since prototypes for testing haven't even been sent out yet) that Bosch users have wanted a 18v version of, for many, many years now. I can't say what tool it is until the press release.
      One tool I can say is coming that I desperately want is the left blade Strongarm GCN. I'm EXTREMELY excited about that because the power tool industry has a "This is how track saws have always been, so they should stay that way!" mindset. Where track capable plunge saws were always right side blades, with 6-½" dia blades. And that made them silly, but marketing won over the minds of many a woodworker.
      So hopefully people can now see the reason track saws (or track capable saws) should be left bladed for right handed users. And they should be 7-¼" so we can do miter cuts on 2-by-_'s! It'll be so much easier to make heavy duty French Cleats now.
      So if Bosch has some good BF deals, I'll not turn down a free 8ah battery. But my need for one is minimal. Maybe they'll do a 12ah for $100!!! I'll hop all over that!! Lol

    Will this charger, with 16 Amps of charging current shorten the lifespan of procore 4Ah batteries or damage small capacity batteries (1.5Ah, 2 Ah)?

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  3 года назад

      It only chargers at 16 amps when you use the turbo button. If you charge regularly it will not shorten the lifespan. Of course the slower you charge a battery, theoretically the longer it will last ( less heat generated).
