👍
Your setup is immaculate, holy cow.
I purchased 40 black rose shrimp online because someone was selling them for a cheap price (20 for $30, free shipping) and now I have to get another tank up and running by Thursday. 😅 Trouble is I don't have a huge budget to spend.
I'm going to use filter media from my other tanks and see what used equipment I can get.
If you don't have a cycled tank yet they will do fine in any plastic container with a java moss (temporary). Don't overfeed them and keep an eye on water parameters. I kept both shrimps shown in this video like that until their tanks were cycled.
Lijep video, nego gdje si nabavio kozice ako nije tajna 😊👍🔝
The cleanest Aquascaper/breeder! Your OCD makes me feel very relaxed ☺
The plant pods are such a great addition to every tank.
Actually I kept the design clean only because of one thing; I eventually need to catch all the shrimps to either cull them or sell them. I prefer doing it in just a few seconds instead of chasing shrimps or fish for hours on end. These pods are ridiculously overpriced but...got a couple of them as a part of B- stock. Each of them had a tiny scratch (barely visible) and just because of that they were 60% off. I am a hoarder of B-stock.
@@IMaqua I'd be going the same! You can't even notice it most of the time I'm guessing. You've picked great shrimp colours so far.
Yeah I just selected what is most popular on the market. Probably will have two more colours.
👍
👍
I love these shrimp! Both of them are so pretty! How long until you can sell them? Do you have a target number that you want to have in the tank before you start selling them?
As soon as I have a colony big enough I will sell them. I want to always leave a couple of bigger males and females so they will continue to reproduce. I am planning to start officially selling fish and shrimps middle of November. Personally "Blue jelly" are my favorite. They are so blue and shiny.
@@IMaquaThe middle of November is right around the corner! That is so exciting! Those blue jelly shrimp remind me of little gummy bears😂
Little gummy shrimplets...
@@IMaquadelicious 😂
Yummy
Simple and effective setups. I like it.
Questions I have: where did you get the glass pods and ceramic pads? Not that I will be breeding anything in the foreseeable future, but I like to have some options.
What kind of shrimp would you suggest for a beginner shrimp keeper (like me)? Maybe Amano shrimp? Or something else?
Edit: my water parameters don't differ much from yours.
For a beginner Amanos are good but they will not breed. If you want to have shrimps that beed just go ahead and try Neocaridina. There are so many colours to choose from. My personal favourites are Blue Jelly and Bloody Mary. Neocaridina shrimps like stability more than parameters and they should do well in tap water. You can check affiliate links I pinned if maybe Azaqua that is located in the Netherlands has any of the things you asked for. If not I suggest you check Aquasabi. Cheers Frank.
Thanks. I have done some shopping at Azaqua before and they have the Bacter AE, but not the other stuff (or I am looking in the wrong places, which happens a lot 😅). I did find some stuff on Aquasabi, so thanks for that suggestion. 👍
Enjoy your new shrimp aquarium whenever you decide to get one.
Thanks. I am already sure I will. 😎
You are welcome.
