- 3 Quick Release Tarp Knots
I believe everyone should know these knots, i use them all the time but you could just use them when your guy ropes and bungees fail.
i know other people have covered these but this is my version.

The slow mo rewind was extremely helpful. Thank you!
This is probably the best knot video I have ever watched: a few simple knots and I like how you show how to tie each knot twice. Thanks.
The last knot is an absolute life savor
Bro you saved my camping trip with these knots
No B.S. just straight forward simple education . Nice work
Keith Thompson thanks very much
The best and no BS video on the main 3 knots! Just down to business. Thank you very much!
The only knot video you will ever need. Brilliant.
By far the most useful and straight forward practical knots for this application ( and many other uses) on RUclips (!)
I Really Like FAST short vid! No Long drawn out explanations, a picture is worth ten thousand words mate..
Videos gotta be worth a million then lol
I wish I saw this video first before learning bowline and the taught line hitch knots....these quick release knows seem so much quicker and easier. Thanks great teacher
Straight to the point and easy to follow. Going camping in the rain this week so needed to learn some to make sure the tarp stays up. Cheers.
Holy shit the OLD school DCS soundtrack. Very pleasantly surprised hahaha
Bowline be gone! Great simple informative little video. Thanks
I like these 3 different knots!!!
this is EXACTLY what I was looking for, I've learned some knots but these are the easiest and most efficient ones from what I have seen till now, and covers the most scenarios for setting up a tarp. Tomorrow I will go again in nature and I will apply what I will practice them after I finish write this comment. Amazing tips, thank you so much!!!
You may check our website (tarpsplus.com/poly-tarps.html ), you will find the best quality tarps at affordable price. Also never miss checking our Facebook page: facebook.com/tarpsplusabadak/
I would substitute the "tensioning knot" for a trucker's hitch, especially on a ridgeline. It's much faster to tie, you'll use a lot less line and it's more secure. It's also faster to adjust since you don't have to undo several wraps around the standing post.
Awesome, with bonus chill hand drum music in the background!
Excellent and only 4 mins. Really helps me, who knew nothing before!
Easiest to understand how to tie the three knots I was looking for. Thanks mate.
Best and easiest knots explanation ever!
Espectacular, sir!
I just spent the last hour or so practicing all 3. I think were good now. Thanks for the concise demo!
Great idea adding the slow motion the second time around, it’s a nice visual and no one else is doing it from the videos I’ve seen.
wish more videos were like this. excellent quality, no frills. thank you
Brilliant, lovely slow-mo 👍 Thanks mucca !!
Wow….great knots. And a great job on showing, explaining and slow motion.👍🏻
Just tried all 3. Worked wonderfully! Thanks!
Easiest set up I've seen so far. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Quick, simple and to the point. Will be using these the next time I go out.
Great video and so clear. 79th Reading Scouts now know the Siberian Hitch, Tensioning knot and Adjustable Prussic. Thanks!
I just left my job at amazon at a crossdock. I'd tie up to 100 quick release knots a day! Best thing to take away from that job, glad to see others use them in camping!
This is terrific. Love the slo-mo. Thanks ♥️🇨🇦
Thanks for really useful knots. The slow motion clips helpt a lot to see how you are doing them.
Good stuff. Somehow I'd never learned that first knot - until now. Thanks.
I believe the three knots people should learn are the truckers hitch, taught line, and slip knot. Truckers hitch + slipknot allows for a super taught, but quick take down, ridge line. Slipknot + taught line allows for the same.
Truckers hitch is also much faster to tie than the knot you used in the beginning, and it’s a useful knot to know in general for tying things down.
Great Video!
Very clear demonstration! Thank you! Easy to follow for first timers like me.
The first one you describe is also known as the Evenk slippery hitch, the Evenk are a tribe of reindeer German in Lapland who developed this knot as a means of securing quickly due to sub zero temperatures, and not wanting bare hands in cold for too long, I use it on my ridgeline all the time
Excellent tuition!
Thanks for sharing Alan.
ATVB. Take care, Steve. 👍👍
Finally a video that lets you see how to do the knots good job 👍

Wow that was such a great explanation of the three knots I fail to research everytime I go to the woods. Next time!!
Thanks for the great tutorial Mate! Simple and straight to the point!
One of the best videos out there. Thank you
Really like that Siberian hitch knot. I use it all of the time now.
I've been looking for a simplay tarp knots video for a bit now. Many thanks for taking the time to make and post this. Going to try and teach myself now! Cheers.
Ben H thanks for watching and once you know these knots they come easy with practice
I REALLY LIKE THE QUICK RELEASE FEATURES as well...Thanks
Thanks Mate.. Quick and Simple🙌🏾🙌🏾
I'd rather a truckers hitch to your tension knot but, it's always good to have more than one too
I thought this was gonna be a boring vid but man it was fantastic. Straight to the point and bloody good knots! Thanks man 🙌🏽
Brilliant. Thanks from Canada! I’m a sailor and I haven’t seen these knots before

Very clear and concise, thank you very much. Will be using these on my next excursion.
Excellent presentation!
Great video, personally I love the first and third, but there are better options for your ridge tightening knot. Great presentation, clear and simple.

Nicely done 🙋🏽♂️⛺️
easy to the point love it!
Great informative video, you make it look so simple to do, without over complicating it. You also look very familiar to a guy that drank in the Salisbury Arms when I worked there.
So good it just doesn't get any better fare play to you for sharing loved the video good luck.
great video thanks for sharing- cool music too!
Awesome video sir! Thank you for sharing!
Holy shitballs... excellent video... short straight to the point, brilliantly explained... I’ve been a bowline and truckers hitch guy... great to have options and that 3rd knot, the prussick... awesome.
Cheers matey,
Steve
First knot was new for me and I had to learn it immediately, third knot is useful but I knew that already. However, I don't see the purpose of second one - it's not adjustable, takes a long time (winding around the tree) to tie/untie and doesn't bring anything over f.e. trucker's hitch.
Thank you for nice demo. To the point!
Well done, sir.
Great knots and learning video
This is so useful and well taught that I had to subscribe.
Thanks for your sharing, the last knot very helpful for me
