1:01 "Rogue-like" Last i heard, Dark Souls aren't rogue-likes. Or am I missing something?

I didn't pronounce it as clearly as I could have but I actually referred to it as a Rogue-lite rather than rogue-like. Stupid phonetically similar genre distinctions ;)

Dark Souls isn't permadeath......neither are any others except for fire emblem and even then it's an option. Rogue lite just means procedurally generated we're, weapons and minions to fight as well as bosses. They don't all have to be permadeath, in fact that is really an outlier.

@@Openrealitythere’s really no official definition, but generally Rogue-lite = permadeath but you get upgrades that make it easier each time you die. If it doesn’t have permadeath I don’t think it’s really a rogue-lite or rogue-like. Or at least that seems to be the definition that most of the internet goes by, from my experience.

Definitely more accessible to me then dark souls was. Right now I'm just, 'really, such figures?' so at least the graphics do improve and it's because of the world and that's all i needed to know. Thanks
