I'm glad to see N scale getting a little respect! I always had a soft place in my heart for N scale (well, since from about 30 years ago) because of how detailed and tiny they were - and as you said, the "proportions" are actually more realistic, and one can make a really good layout in a smaller area. ✔✔

I have 3 CSX SD40-3 love them and run great. I seen where they are thinking of short runs with different paint, would love to see some in indiana railroad.

Nice looking locomotives! On another note do you know when the ho scale mth steam locos and passenger cars will be reproduced? Or even if they are on the schedule for the future?

They said in a nother video, that they will bring this year their first steam engine but I don’t know which one and when.

Scaletrains engines have great detail - I own 9.
However, they need to figure out proper speaker enclosures since their sound is thin and weak. Putting holes in the fuel tank (to let the sound out negates and ability of the speaker to simulate bass sounds). Atlas has figured it out.

I love Scaletrains and 90% of my locos are STs. The only weakness that ST has is their motors (I mean N scale) and there's a good chance that 1 out of 10 would be jerky and need some attention to. Not sure why but motor is not a sophisticated item and Kato has managed to have all of theirs running smoothly in the first movement.

Same, Kato had the best motors in N.

Agree and the best quality control and they are not engineered, designed and manufactured and repaired in China. Plus the best spare parts service around. Also you’re not stuck with ESU decoders and the E24 decoder socket.

@@Bliz0516 ST is engineered/designed at their HQ in Cleveland.
My 2013 MacBook Pro (new batteries few years back) and Apple CD drive...11 years on and both still working flawlessly since new...and both made in China.
So, made in China is not the issue and ST must revisit their motor design to make improvement in smooth running area.
Having said all of the above, I'd not stop acquiring more ST locos (I have close to 30 of their locos already LOL) as their great details have no peers.

@@ddavideo no, according to their own how to make a locomotive, they do research and specifications. All of The engineering and the design and the manufacturing is done in China. I just think that there must be some good designers in America. But hey, cheap labor rules.
