Just bought an 03 with a shot front end, this video is beyond helpful you are a life saver. Now I know I can just order replacement struts and easily install them myself.
Bought my '03 rsx base 18 months ago..runs and drives great except for this elusive clunking which I've narrowed down to the struts and/or mounts. I just replaced ball joints, outer tie rod ends, control arm bushings (would not recommend, just buy new arms!) and sway bar links and bushings. Still clunking. Anyway this is THE only video or info I could find on the specific components in the strut assembly so much appreciation to you for taking the time to make this!
Damn I'm experiencing the same thing , did all the same things (yeah fuck changing control arm bushings , that shit was a bitch!) I came to same conclusion that it's my strut or mount. I guess ima wait until I get my kw v2 coilovers.
Have you had any luck fixing your issue?
@@amirparvez5415 it was definitely the strut mounts! Replaced struts and mounts, bearings and she's rock solid now..
@@0326tks hell yeah I'm glad to hear to hear that . Ima try to get that done soon cause I'm tired of that clunk sound 😪. Thanks for the reply back !
@@amirparvez5415 no problem. I did the strut bearings too bc they were cheap..happy wrenching!
@J D sorry didn't see this til now. Went with kyb. If you haven't done it already def don't get quick struts. Just rent the coil compresser kit and be careful using it. Factory springs will always be better.
Like your VDO, explained very well details and sequence step, I should have watch this before work on 04 rsx. Thx Bro.
This video helped me so much. Thanks for the knowledge man.
Wonder how hard the car was driven for Mugen shocks to go bad like that!
Do you have a video for the rear or is it the same process?
What is the actual name for the clamp? It’s not a regular c clamp
Thanks bud!
nyaaace!
