Tbh I wasn't surprised. Huawei optics and camera tech were already better way back in 2018 with the P20 Pro. That phone was the trigger for US sanctions cuz Apple couldn't compete.

I just compared the benchmark between pixel 8 pro and Samsung S23 with the new Huawei Pura 70Ultra shocked.
Huawei benchmark in single core is 1447 score and multi-core score is 4765😮
In single core Huawei has a little a small difference with Pixel 8pro that is 1751 and Samsung S23 single core that is 1884.
In Multi Core Huawei score :4767 beat Pixel 8 pro multi core : 4384 .
Samsung S23 Multicore Score is 4977 .
So Huawei new chip is not very far from competition.
It can’t beat IPhone 15promax or Samsung 24 ultra.
But it’s one year difference from them.
And same as Google Pixel 8 pro.
Google Pixel and Huawei will make the revolution of chips mark my words in few years.
It’s only been their second phones models with this new chips.
Imagine Huawei is doing this no matter bans from USA.

Even the Apple MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers have degraded and gone backwards in technology and the new computers are worse than the old ones. They have reduced and limited RAM (4GB to 8GB only on the standard com), storage and capacity and REMOVED all connection points (they only have USB C connector now, and very few points), which make it very difficult to connect devices and I've to purchase so many additional adapters in order to connect stuff. Makes it redundant and useless for traveling if I have to lug so many different adapters and accessories in my suitcase or bag and then missing out on some stuff. The WORST thing is the computers are NOT upgradable or expandable and you are stuck with those lousy low end inferior specs.

if Huawei got 8Gen3, the wars is over.
Actually If huawei would be able to send his processor design to be made in TSMC (as qualcomm, intel, amd, nvidia, apple, etc... does) the war is over.
Or if they would be able to buy EUV machines to ASML the war is more than over.
Because they have the capability to make even better processors, but are limited by the access to the EUV machines for restrictions made by USA.
And with that in mind, that they have created the processor that they did, with old DUV machines is incredible.

It has nothing to do with hardware. Huawei's new machine cup is already very powerful. It's just that the United States has a monopoly on the global mobile phone software ecosystem, especially related applications such as Google Maps. Huawei cannot install updates. Leading to lower potential customers. Huawei is developing its own ecosystem and its own map. It will first base itself on China and then slowly expand to the world. Huawei's new mobile phones no longer support the Android system.

It appears the tech is a process in the phone composing a clear photo from a mini video clip, not high speed shutter, similar result to what we do in photography call image stacking but way more accurate, fast and complicated. No expert, but guessing this artificial intelligence processing, it’s not a linear. Simply amazing.

It's all about how fast the shuttle is, nothing to do with how good the camera is. To be fair the shuttle speed of both phone camera have to be listed for a accurate comparison. If I prefer motion blur in my photo then Huawei is not the camera to go for.

@@efei33 There are also other parameters involved, ISO and aperture too. If you want to do an accurate comparison, you have to compare apples to apples.

The end results from the Huawei are superb but is this really a super fast shutter or just clever AI combining multiple photos? I've yet to see one video where they take just one shot to prove the shitter speed?
Got this phone 30 hours ago, and it works like this:
Huawei still use same shutter speed which would be given by any DSLR
but they may take more information than acturally appered(I guess maybe 3-4 pictures).
and then AI combined shaked information and then auto-photoshop it into clear image.
so when you open the picture it's blurry at first and after 2-4 second you get a clear shot.
don't mind if it's your hand or the object which is moving very fast you eventurally get a clear shot.

The Huawei P70 has a large aperture of F1.6 and a 1-inch photosensitive component, so Huawei has significantly increased the shutter speed. However, it still has sufficient light intake, which is why it can excellently complete high-speed capture,
