Shaping the Future | Insights from Samin Nower Kashmy, Program Director, The Asia Foundation

Samin Nower Kashmy, Program Director of Oporajita - a Collective Impact Initiative led by The Asia Foundation, reflected on the valuable learning and dissemination event recently held by Bunon 2030. At the event, The Asia Foundation served as the backbone organization for Oporajita. In addition, the reports and policy briefs developed by LightCastle Partners were unveiled at the event providing a foundation for industry and women RMG workers. Kashmy sees immense potential for collaborative facilitation to transform ideas into actionable initiatives, fostering industry growth.
The event was held as part of the Bunon 2030 initiative, which is a part of the H&M Foundation's “Oporajita: Collective Impact on the Future of Work in Bangladesh” project. Oporajita aims to empower Bangladeshi women garment workers in the face of increasing automation, circularity, and decarbonization, LDC Graduation, among other challenges.
