He really tried to avoid telling her who Christie was, yes I understand the house was supposed to be a surprise but if your spouse let's you know they are not sure If you are cheating that should be something that should be very easy to say.
Buying a house is easy enough to check, and that has nothing to do with who Christie is - he sounded pretty phony about it - He had no idea who Christie was, and then she was his realtor. Who buys a house and doesn't let his wife have any input into it? Maybe it's all true, and he's just leaving out the part of having an affair with Christie.
Hard to believe from this if he’s cheating, it’s so easy to deny that he is cheating. He lied about Christie so who knows if he’s not cheating about having an affair with Christie. How knows if he’s working with Christie.

No problem. His wife won't be on the deed. This means that upon his death the house would have to be split between his wife and 3 kids. He can add her at anytime by doing Quit Claim Deed through an attorney. I know a few women who weren't aware of the above. They had to sell the house and share $$ with adult children when the husband died. So sad. Wives had been paying mortgage and then they find out they had no right to the deed. Nightmare. Same applies if deed is in wife's name only. Husband will split with children. Remember: deed DOES NOT EQUAL mortgage!!! Just because man and wife are on the mortgage doesn't mean they are both on deed. DEED is what counts!!!!
