I wish someone on this show would say that just because someone is going through a hard time doesn’t mean it’s appropriate for a married partner to be the confidante for that person who is outside their marriage!
There are so many things with this one. Unless you share minor children or share a business with someone, there is no reason to communicate with an ex while married.

Paula is asking him “you talked to her last night?” Ummm what’s the problem with talking to a friend at night??? Paula allowed him to open that door of befriending an ex, so why get upset if he is doing a friendly gesture? Paula is ridiculous.
No, people are allowed to talk to others, but it shouldn't go to far. You can't MAKE a person cheat. If you think that, then something's wrong. If it wasn't the dumb ex, it would have been someone else. Had you thought of that ? A cheater will cheat, it doesn't matter who it is with. Duh. Like really, duh.
