What really concerns me here is how insistent he is that his wife forget about this and get over it. He's telling her it's in the past, so she shouldn't worry about it, when she's only JUST found out about it. This is a guy who, if they do stay together, will expect her to be over it almost immediately, and if she does struggle with it or bring it up, he'll get angry and blame her.

I worked at a hotel. Before we mail it out, we have to confirm if the guest wants the item back. We have charge for delivery plus service fee. Clearly, this was done by the mistress since he was trying to break up her, so she came up with a scheme to break up his family. For me, i would've let be together. Those two deserve each other. The guy is delusional, forgive himself before his wife event knows about it, and the mistress is just pure evil to mail the item.

IF it were men's undies and my wife i would be super pissed and also somewhat less than stupid mad because she cut it off before being caught. IF she could live with the possibilities of a PI checking her at any moment until she built my trust back i would work it out. IF she got deceitful at ALL or tried to make it my fault we would be done. Years in the books and a repentant spouse says a lot and i would not be eager to toss that in the recycle bin when a good result was possible.
A lot of people forgive their spouses for cheating but if it were me I would be so humiliated that strangers were able to hear my man admit that he had a girlfriend with a wife on te side. But then it is much to find things in the dark if we turn on the lights and find them.
