    What kinds of Natural disasters does Greensboro deal with? Doing research before relocating.

      Occasional floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes

      @@jamesthefisherman1060 the whole floods, tornadoes and hurricanes would be new for me. Coming from Alaska just used to earthquakes (with no warning) and driving carefully on icy/rainy roads that are slicker than snot. For the month of December those overnight temps of -10 below zero is getting frustrating. Thanks for the info!

      @@dmarie388 There have been an increasing number of earthquakes on the east coast in the last 2-3 years but the only big one I can recall in North Carolina during that time was one that hit Sparta in 2020. Most that hit this area are usually small ones that many people don’t notice and cause minimal damage. The one in Sparta however did quite a bit of damage and could be felt from 100 miles away.

      @@jamesthefisherman1060 I lived in Alaska before turning a year old. I’m used to earthquakes. The worst one I experienced was on 11-30-2018 a 7.1 earthquake hit Anchorage. Strongest shake I’ve been in. I tell you what, there were many damaged roads, thankfully no fatalities. We had our roads fixed over the weekend and we kept it moving. But the aftershocks was gut wrenching when you’re grocery shopping. Wanting to find sturdy furniture to hide under. Let’s just say I had earthquake ptsd for a while . 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

    Greensboro is a part of the triad. Winston Salem, Greensboro and High Point. It’s located in central North Carolina.

    @601 TRAVELS greensboro is also 5hrs from the outer banks too. that right there is something i wouldn't mind because i wouldn't have to worry about the hassle of catching a flight unless traveling to other states like dallas-fort worth or austin.

    • @Doc_Mario1
      @Doc_Mario1 3 года назад +1

      @@davidq2630 There isn't any real economic opportunities, an uncontrolled rise in crime, poor infrastructure but rising taxes, and increasing urban sprawl. I'd say these are a few reasons, Greensboro used to be a great place but now a days it's a pain. None of the places listed to visit as a tourist arent that great, not much more than niche one trick ponies.
