  • The weather is cooperating (for now) and we're planting! Getting our lasts Corn Test Plots in the ground. We plant a test Plot for our local Corn and Soybean board. The profits from the plot are used to provide scholarships for our local students with an interest in Agriculture. The other plot we plant for Channel Seed. They provide the seed and decide what we plant.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

What ta heck is that? And the bathroom joke, OMGosh...LOL Wish we had GPS steering back when I was on the farm...could have peed from the platform while still moving. No cabs on our tractors.
Be glad for your Dad's demeanor. So many Dads would rant and rave and throw things when dealing with changes. Amen.
Thanks for all you do! Jim.

Your videos are so much better than a lot of farming youtubers, you keep it simple so people who don’t farm can understand, but you also get the point across. It’s very educational and has a lot of entertainment.

These videos are way cool - they give people who have never even thought about where our food and grain come from a chance to see how it's done and how on top of all the new technology farmers are, and how they're always thinking of how to improve the process. And even though they're in competition with each other in one sense, they work together on another level to help each other out - like the test plots you show here.

The newscast on your tractor radio said the governor signed an emergency order exempting truckers from complying with the FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations so they could deliver anhydrous ammonia. I was a cross-country trucker and it always burned my butt that the government would let truckers break the rules when it benefited someone else, but if it benefited the trucker then absolutely not allowed, even if it made sense. But that's a big part of our problem in this country, eg: common sense is not so common anymore.
